Show Notes

Lawrence and Lauren only started cruising in 2024. For their fifth wedding anniversary, they left the kids at home and booked nine nights on the Disney Destiny: a five-night Western Caribbean sailing followed immediately by a four-night Nassau and Castaway Cay sailing. Sam is solo-hosting this week and gets the full back-to-back story, from a Lucha Libre ring in Cozumel to a completely sold-out second sailing.

In this episode:

  • How a same-stateroom back-to-back works, and the stateroom host move that made reboarding effortless
  • The Cozumel Lucha Libre excursion and its Disney-exclusive wrestler meet and greet
  • Timing the Dr. Facilier and Cruella meet-and-play experiences, and which one they would wait for again
  • Trivia tactics, skipped dinners, and a very worried main dining server
  • Pride Lands, the Broadway Star Series, and two different Megaras in Hercules
  • What changes when a Wish-class ship sails at full capacity

“I think we were on board for like eight minutes and I turned to her and I was like… this is our personality now.” — Lawrence

[00:00:00] Speaker A: We were kind of looking for something different, especially with the parks being under construction. The boys are getting older. There's only so many times we can drag them on. Small world. So we're trying. We were trying to find something new and the cruise line had just come out with the Wish not too long before. Not too long before. So we looked into that. [00:00:19] Speaker B: Yeah. So we did what, three, a three nighter on the Wish and I think we were on board for like eight minutes. And I turned to her and I was like, yeah, I was like, this is our personality now. [00:00:32] Speaker A: Foreign. [00:00:41] Speaker C: Welcome back, everyone to this week's episode of the DCL Duo podcast brought to you by. We do travel, right? Life is short. Take the trip. Let the folks over at WeDoTravel, right? Do all the planning so you can do all the relaxing. As you can tell from hearing my voice this morning on or this afternoon, whenever this podcast comes out, you hear my voice instead of Brian. Brian's voice. You know that I means I am solo hosting since Brian usually does the show intro. Unfortunately, he woke up not feeling very well today. And no, he did not eat any parasitic lettuce or parasitic blueberries, but he's just not feeling well this morning. And so I'm doing the show solo. But don't worry, I'm not alone. I've got two great guests joining me today. First time guests to the show. But welcome Lawrence and Lauren to the show. Welcome, you guys. [00:01:31] Speaker B: Hi, how's it going? [00:01:33] Speaker C: Yeah, nice to meet you both. Thanks for joining me today. I'm excited to talk about your back to back sailing on the Disney destiny. But before we get into that, why don't you give me some Disney backgrounds and some cruising backgrounds. And Lawrence, I see you're wearing Mickey ears on. Actually, you're both wearing Disney shirts. I love it. Very well done. I just saw Lawrence was peeking over on the screen first. Is that one of those new F1 shirts, by the way? Yeah, I love it. Nice. I love that. Those are like hard to come by. In fact, all the stuff right now as we're recording, it's August 23rd. So D23 was last weekend and there's a lot of new merchandise that came out. And I don't know if you guys saw, but I was looking on ebay at some of the stuff and it's crazy. Like those Genova princess ears because I looked because my friend Tracy's been dying to get them. They are like, I think they're like $35 if you bought them there. And they're Like I kid you not, like 300 something dollars on ebay, it's, it's just nuts. Yeah, yeah. So anyway, if you can snag things at actual retail price, I'm all for it, but not those resale price. All right, well Lawrence, why don't you start with like your Disney background and then we'll jump over to Lauren with hers. [00:02:54] Speaker D: Sure. [00:02:54] Speaker B: Yeah. I grew up a little bit in California, so went to Disneyland a couple times. Then we moved to Florida, went to Disney World a lot and then moved up here to Maryland and just try to make trips whenever I could. We have two boys so we like to go, you know, once or twice a year if we can make it down there. So. And then yeah, we started cruising, what, April of 24. Yeah, yeah. [00:03:18] Speaker C: Nice now. [00:03:19] Speaker B: Yeah, we've been on I guess five now since then, so it's been great. [00:03:22] Speaker C: Oh wow. Well, welcome to gold, you guys. Lauren, what about you? Where did your love of Disney come from? And did it take any convincing? I mean sometimes it's like okay, the wife is into Disney and I have to convince the husband to jump into Disney cruising or parks trips. You're shaking your heads? No. So yeah, tell me Lauren, where did your Disney love come from? [00:03:43] Speaker A: So my Disney love came from VHS's on repeat breaking them. I've had multiple Pocahontas tapes break just from rewinding and sporting Disney sing along songs. I didn't get to the Disney parks till about middle school and then as soon I had a couple friends in college do the Disney college program and I came down visiting. We actually met online and both of our profile pictures had some type of Disney in it. So that was an immediate like, okay, we're good but we love. Yeah. Also we. He runs race weekend, marathon weekend. So we go down for that. I've run a couple of the races, but he does dopey pretty consistently. Yeah, so we've done a couple trips around that. [00:04:33] Speaker C: Nice. And you all have kids at what [00:04:36] Speaker A: ages 15 and 11. [00:04:38] Speaker C: Nice. Now have they grown up as Disney parks kids then and yeah. [00:04:44] Speaker A: And now. [00:04:44] Speaker C: And now. Disney cruise tween teen. Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:04:49] Speaker B: 100% love that. [00:04:51] Speaker A: It wasn't a hard sell with. We told them there is ice cream a hundred percent of the time and they were, they were good to go. [00:04:57] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. Honestly that, you know, there are sometimes some of the ships the soft serve will close for a time. Usually it's I think on the wish class because they don't. You can't self serve on the wish class. But I mean most of the time there's soft serve available. [00:05:11] Speaker B: They, they quickly learned that they could. Room service, Mickey bars, time frame. So. [00:05:17] Speaker C: Right. I mean there's always some kind of Mickey ice cream available. If it's not soft serve, it's. Yeah, those Mickey bars in, in your stateroom. Nothing. Nothing. And Mickey bar, room service. Well, you guys, you started cruising in 2024. What was the thing that sort of got you to delve into cruising? Like had either of you cruise on any other cruise line before? [00:05:40] Speaker A: So I grew up cruising. My, my grandmother was a huge like cruise whatever didn't. She wasn't like brand like specific. She just went on cruises. So, you know, someone had to go with her. So I was, I was there for her. So I've always been game for a cruise. He hasn't. You've never, you were never on a cruise. So I had to kind of just explain especially after Covid, you know, that yeah, it'll be fine. You know, I, I've been fine. Usually I am the one, like I do get motion sick, but I've never been sick on a cruise ship. So we were kind of looking for something different. Especially with the parks being under construction. The boys are getting older. There's only so many times we can drag them on. Small world. So we're trying, we were trying to find something new and the cruise line had just come out with the Wish [00:06:30] Speaker B: not too long, not too long before. [00:06:32] Speaker A: So we looked into that. [00:06:34] Speaker B: Yeah. So we did what, three. A three nighter on the Wish and I think we were on board for like eight minutes. And I turned to her and I was like, yeah, I was like, this is our personality now. [00:06:43] Speaker C: I love that. That's awesome. Yeah. I think people, you know, sometimes people worry about cruising because of cruising can get a bad rep based on the perception of it being, you know, either booze cruises or for older people or cheap or, you know, it just, just kind of depends. Like, there's lots, I think there's lots of myths out there about cruising for people who've never cruised. But it's a fantastic way to vacation. And let me put a plug in. Not just on Disney Cruise Line. There's lots of other amazing like cruise lines out there. And I mean your grandma, not brand loyal, went on lots of different cruise lines. I think you can have a good experience lots of cruise lines and it's a great vacation. And I also do get motion sick on especially like spinny rides and on smaller boats. But I typically all don't get. Don't get sick on cruise ships. It's really, I mean, I have had situations where the seas have been really rough and then I've gotten, you know, nauseous. But if I'm, you know, take some Bonine or take some Dramamine or in real bad circumstances, put on a patch and. And I'm okay. I think only if you're like super, super, super sensitive, motion sickness wise, are you maybe, you know, not the right person for. For cruising. All right, well, five in quick succession, you guys, starting in 2024. We're now in 2026. So five and two years, that's a lot. Now this was a back to back on the Disney Destiny. Why did you guys choose which, which ships have you been on? You mentioned the Wish was your first one, but which ships have you been on? I assume this is probably your first time on the Destiny. And then tell me why you chose the Destiny and take those questions in any order you like. [00:08:27] Speaker B: Yes, we did the Wish first and then we hopped on the Fantasy. We took my parents on that with us, which was a lot of fun. That was a five night cruise that we did. And then the end of last summer, they had a bunch of those deals going on and one popped up and I just like told her, I was like, hey, we can make this work. So we ended up back on the Wish. Was that three nighter? [00:08:46] Speaker A: Yeah, three nighter. [00:08:47] Speaker B: And then after that, you know, we're big Marvel people and whatnot. I like superheroes. And so when we saw the Destiny coming out, we're like, all right, like, we're definitely gotta make time to go. And then our wedding anniversary, our five year wedding anniversary is this year and right around time for a birthday. And so I was like, all right, let's go. Let's hop on the Destiny. And then I actually listen to one of your guys's podcasts and it was like a back to back episode. And just for just curious, I was like, could we make that work either before or after the one we already booked? And I told her, I was like, we can make, make it work doing it back to back. So instead of five nights, it was gonna be nine nights total, so. [00:09:24] Speaker C: Oh, the best. Yeah. Yeah. [00:09:26] Speaker A: Not a hard sell. [00:09:27] Speaker C: No. Yeah. I mean, if it fits in the schedule and it fits in the budget. Like two thumbs up is what I say, right? The more nights, the better. Now, did you have to book different staterooms or were you able to get the same stateroom for both sailings? [00:09:40] Speaker B: We were lucky. And we able to get the same one so that was super easy. The first night we were on board, we actually ran into our stateroom host, like right away and we said, hey, we're doing back to back. What do you need from us to do or not do? And he was like, I'll just clean it like it's a normal day at sea. And we're like, all right, cool. And he actually got us our room keys, like here, they're already in the door. That morning we woke up on the, on the back to back day. Yeah. [00:10:04] Speaker C: Oh, that's awesome. I've never. You know what, next time I sail back to back, I'm going to ask my room steward if we can do that because I've never thought to do that before and it will just make it easier if I, you know, have it in hand. [00:10:14] Speaker B: And he offered it too. We didn't even ask, yeah, what do you need us to do? And he was like, just leave everything. I'll clean like a normal C day. He's like, also, I was like, I can just have your room key here in the morning for you guys. So. [00:10:24] Speaker C: Yeah, because that way you don't have to go back to the room to grab it when you're like wanting to do other stuff on the ship or wanting to head to lunch or do the water slides or whatever. For those who've not been on a back to back, if you are staying in the same stateroom, you don't have to do anything except get off the ship with your passports and then do the check in process again and then reboard with the back to back cruisers. But in terms of like your luggage, everything can stay exactly where it is. So if you like us like to unpack, everything can stay unpacked in your seat room and your seat room attendant, as Lawrence mentioned, will just clean your room like it's a normal, it's like a normal service day. While every other room is being of course turned over completely for, for new cruisers. But it's really nice if you're moving rooms, you do have to pack everything up. You can ask your stateroom attendant to move stuff that's on hangers. They will do that for you usually. But it's, you know, it's kind of annoying because you still have to pack everything else up. And that's. Yeah. The whole benefit of back to back, I think, is not having to do any of the packing. Yeah, yeah. Awesome. Well, okay, so you had only been on the longest cruise you had been on before was five nights. Now this is of course a four and a Five nights, and so nine nights total. Any concerns about, like, it being too long, you have not having enough to do? No. You're shaking your heads. No. No. [00:11:51] Speaker B: Still. [00:11:52] Speaker A: Yeah. We were busy the whole time. [00:11:55] Speaker C: Yeah. Well. And that's what I like, I think, in general on a Disney cruise, but especially on the Destiny, with so many new experiences now, what were the things you all were looking forward to? Lawrence, you mentioned big Marvel fans. Lauren, what were some of the things you were looking forward to doing and what were sort of on your must do list? And then don't tell me if we actually did them or not. We'll hit that. Yeah. [00:12:17] Speaker A: All right. Must do is first and foremost, the Hercules show. Yeah, that was a big one. That's one of my favorite movies. Both of our favorite movies. And I wanted to do the Cruella de Vil experience. I wanted to. Because we've never been on the Treasure. I wanted to go into the Haunted Mansion bar. [00:12:35] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:12:35] Speaker A: And then there was. What else was there? We play a lot of trivia, so there were certain trivias that we were like, we have to get there. This is like, either we won it last time, so we want to win it again, or we were close and we want to win this time. [00:12:51] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. Well, there is that. There's, like, regular Marvel trivias, but then there's also that, like, ultimate Marvel trivia [00:12:57] Speaker B: where that's over our head. [00:13:00] Speaker C: That's over your head. Okay. I can't do that. That's, like, high. That's, like, super high level, too. Yeah. That's not me either, by the way. Wearing my. For watching a video, I'm wearing my superhero mini sweatshirt from the Disney Destiny. This is, like, one of my prized possessions. I am obsessed with. I'm obsessed with hero mini. Lawrence, what about you? Were there any must do's on your list different from Lawrence? Like, were there. Was there anything? You're like, I. I've got to hit that. [00:13:26] Speaker B: Definitely the. The Marvel. What was the name of it? With Great Power show. I really wanted to hit that. [00:13:32] Speaker A: The comedy show. [00:13:32] Speaker B: Yeah, comedy show. And then we also learned after we booked that our first sailing was one of the Broadway Stars series. [00:13:40] Speaker C: Nice. [00:13:40] Speaker B: We were like, all right. Because they hadn't announced, like, who was going to be on board until we were actually on board. So we just said we definitely want to try to hit those when. Once we see the schedule. So. [00:13:52] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. And those are not on every sailing, as you alluded to. Those are. It's typically, if the Broadway Star series is on your sailing, it will usually be two Broadway stars. And when I say Broadway, that also means national tour or West End, not just actual Broadway productions. But yeah, you'll have two people. They'll do a performance usually on the main stage in the Walt Disney Theater, and then they'll do an adult only performance in Saga. And the adult only performance will typically be more just Broadway songs versus the one in the main stage theater, which will be focused on Disney songs and primarily Disney Broadway, but it'll be a mix of Disney songs. All right, well, let's talk planning. Were you guys trying to book anything in terms of excursions or drink tastings or adult dining? With that many nights on board, you know, you certainly have enough time to fit in a couple of those things. But obviously you had quite a few things on your must do list. So what. What were you guys thinking in terms of booking? [00:14:52] Speaker B: So we are not foodies. We are not into the elevated dining. [00:14:56] Speaker C: Sure. [00:14:57] Speaker B: Drink tastings. I mean, we drank, but not. Not like that. [00:15:00] Speaker A: Not special. [00:15:01] Speaker B: Yeah. So, yeah, we're happy going to Mickey's festival of Foods and having a good old time there. But for booking, normally we just. We booked the cruises for the ship itself. Not really for, like, where it's going. Lauren did want to get off at Cozumel, and I was kind of like, well, like, we normally just stay on board, you know, I don't know. And she's like, well, what if I find an excursion that I think you would like? You know, would you be game for that? I was like, yeah, sure, no problem. And then she texted me, like, right away. I'm a big pro wrestling fan. And so she found the. The Lucha Libre experience. And so I was like, yeah, well, we will definitely be doing that for sure. [00:15:37] Speaker C: Yeah, we've heard really good things. So I'm excited to hear your review of that experience. Okay, so you hit. You had Cozumel, and what was. Was it cast away on that sailing then on the Western? [00:15:48] Speaker B: Yeah. So embarkation day, sea day, Cozumel C day, and then cast away. That was the first five days and then. [00:15:56] Speaker C: And then the four night cruise. Was it. Was it lookout and castaway, or did you have NASA on there? What. [00:16:02] Speaker B: What was the Nassau castaway? [00:16:04] Speaker C: Okay, yeah, yeah. I mean, two good itineraries because you get to hit castaway, of course, both times. You get a couple sea days on that first sailing, one sea day on that second sailing. I mean, two if you count NASA, and stay on board the ship. All right, well, let's dive in then and talk about embarkation Day. You all are coming from Maryland, and we know friends don't let friends fly in on embarkation day. So when did you guys head down to Fort Lauderdale? [00:16:34] Speaker B: So we flew in the night before and we stayed at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina. I think that was the name of it. We got it kind of late because it was a normal work day for, for me. So we hopped on the plane a little late, easy travel, easy to get to the airport. Woke up the following morning. I was ready to come on here and brag that I ran 11 miles before. But you had that guest a couple episodes ago where he ran that 100 mile race. [00:16:58] Speaker C: Ultra marathoner. Yeah, I heard that. [00:17:00] Speaker B: I was like, all right. [00:17:01] Speaker C: Well, you know, I mean, 11 miles isn't nothing, Lawrence. [00:17:07] Speaker B: It's fun to run around. So I actually ran. I got a, like a selfie with me right in front of the front of the ship. Oh, cool. Stuck in the little, like, parking garage to, like, the access road. And they're, like, looking at me, and I was like, I'm just gonna take a quick photo. And they're like, all right, got out of there. But yeah, we. We did the Disney transport, which is hilarious because I think we sat at a traffic light longer than it takes to get across the street, basically. But I can't remember our port arrival time. I think we were originally like 11:45. But, you know, with the transport, we were able to start boarding when we got there. So that was the reason why we, like, went ahead and just booked it. [00:17:47] Speaker C: Yeah, well, and it just makes things, like, easy in terms of like, transporting your luggage. Right? You give them your luggage, they take the luggage to the ship, and then you see it when it shows up outside your stateroom later that day. I mean, it's, of course, easy to book an Uber or Lyft or whatever, you know, nearby the port. That's super easy. But it, it's. It's nice to do the Disney transportation, especially to get on the ship a little bit earlier. So what time do you think you guys actually boarded the ship? [00:18:15] Speaker A: It was pretty early. [00:18:16] Speaker B: Yeah, it was. [00:18:17] Speaker A: We were maybe the fourth group called, like, after, because, you know, they call this specific, like, princess or whatever. Like, is on our tag. We were like the fourth group. [00:18:27] Speaker C: Nice. Yeah. So what they. What they've been doing at Port Everglades, for those who haven't heard a couple of the recent shows on this, if you are in those Disney transportation. Transportation groups, essentially. So you're coming from one of the hotels that Disney picks up from, and that You've arranged it through Disney, they will give you like, a character tag, and that becomes essentially your boarding group. So after they call concierge sailors who are group one, of course, family of the day, first back to back sailors. And then group two is Pearl cruisers. Right after the Pearl cruisers, they start calling those. Those characters. And so if you are using Disney transportation, you're essentially getting on before port arrival or boarding group three. And so you're getting on at the early, early end of the morning or of the boarding at least. Well, okay, so tell me about, like, check in process. Is everything sort of smooth sailing? This. Was this your first time sailing out of Port Everglades? [00:19:28] Speaker B: Yes. Yeah. I mean, it was pretty smooth. So they're like, hey, no, we got off the transportation. They're like, all right, just start heading that way. And then they're like, they're asking for a boarding group. And I showed them the little character tag. He's like, oh, go on this line. And there was like, nobody there. So we walked basically to the front and we waited for one person in front of us. [00:19:48] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:19:49] Speaker B: Then we were able to get scanned in all that good stuff. But then we went and waited Maybe, what, like 10 minutes? [00:19:55] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:19:56] Speaker B: We got our picture taken and just hung out for a little bit. And then it was time to get on. So it was pretty. It was pretty fast. It was great. [00:20:02] Speaker C: Yeah. And don't sleep on those pictures. Folks who are listening, like, there you can get your. You know, it's got. It's one of those cheesy backdrops. But I love a good family photo. And you might not be. Your family may not be so keen to get in line for photos on the ship. And you usually don't have to wait in line in the port. [00:20:19] Speaker B: There was nobody waiting. We asked him. I was like, are you taking photos right now? He was like, yeah. And so he took our photo. And then the next thing you know, there's a queue of like 20 families all running over to. [00:20:29] Speaker C: Because they didn't realize. Yeah, I think a lot of people don't even realize that that's like, there. It's not quite as obvious as, well, either of the ports anymore, though. Sort of the setup they used to have where it was like, as you were going in, they would sort of send you to the picture before boarding. But now it just seems like it's kind of there off to the side. And so until somebody goes over there and people realize what's happening, it ends up being. Ends up being empty. [00:20:54] Speaker B: There was the one that we went to. That was, like, off to the side, like, by the restroom, the vending machines. And then when you went through the actual, like, line to get onto the ship, there was actually three spots set up, like, in a row. [00:21:05] Speaker C: Oh, okay. [00:21:05] Speaker B: It was nice. They had that. But also, like, it was kind of back in the lineup. [00:21:09] Speaker A: We got too excited, and we were like, we just want to get on the ship. [00:21:12] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. We walk right by. But yeah, yeah. [00:21:15] Speaker C: At some point, you're like, I just. Yeah, I just need to see that Grand Hall. [00:21:18] Speaker A: Now. [00:21:19] Speaker C: Were the kids as excited as you all were to get on the Disney Destiny? Like, how did they. Did they enjoy their prior. The prior cruises? [00:21:28] Speaker A: So we ditched the kids for this cruise. [00:21:30] Speaker C: Oh, you did? [00:21:33] Speaker B: It was our anniversary, not theirs. [00:21:34] Speaker A: Yeah. So they stayed at home. [00:21:39] Speaker C: Wow. [00:21:40] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:21:41] Speaker C: I love that. Good job, guys. Yeah. Listen, listen. I, I. I hope people. I don't know if people have heard me say this before, but if you haven't, I, I have said this before. I really think it's great when couples who have children, couples who don't have children, too, but couples who have children, especially, like, take a vacation without your kids. Like, it's important for your own, for your relationship. I'm not a therapist. I'm a lawyer, but I'm gonna. I'm gonna therapize for a minute. Like, it's important for your relationship to have a chance to reconnect just the two of you. So I love that you did that. I'm all for that. You know, of course, not everybody has the option to do that because of childcare issues and whatnot, but I think it's awesome when parents do that, so good job, you guys, and happy anniversary. I think that's awesome. Y. All right, so what, what, what. What did you think when you walk into the beautiful grand hall of the Disney Destiny? Did you like it? Were you surprised by it? I don't know. Did you guys watch YouTube videos and know what? It's what it looks like already? [00:22:43] Speaker A: So we watched a couple, and then I would say probably about a month out, we were like, stop watching everything, like, because we do want to be surprised. But the grand hall was absolutely amazing. Like, still very much shaped like the Wish and everything. But Black Panther we had. Spider man was there to greet us when we got on, which was different. We actually were on this ship, completely unplanned, with one of his cousins. They had shifted. [00:23:11] Speaker C: Oh, cool. [00:23:12] Speaker A: So their daughter was a big Spider man fan, so I'm, like, texting her. Have the phone ready. Like, Spider Man's there greeting. Please make sure you're ready to go. And then, like, we quickly went through there, and then he really wanted to get Donald's Cantina. So up we went. [00:23:29] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. Chipotle at sea. The best. The best. Best deck food by far is on the wish class. And I would say Donald's Cantina being the cream of the crop. No shade on Mickey. Smokestack barbecue. But I think Donald's beats out Mickey's it in my. My personal opinion. Yeah. [00:23:50] Speaker A: We were trying to be the first on the Aquamouse. And then thunder, literally two minutes before it opened. So we ate our food with a lifeguard. [00:24:03] Speaker B: Yeah. We were like, in line. And then there's a little bit of thunder because the guard was coming to, like, open the lineup for us. And you heard the thunder, kind of looked around like, all right, maybe I'll let you guys on real quick. And then there was a huge flash of lighting. He was like, nope, nope, nope, nope. Sorry, guys. Yeah, yeah, we had our food. Ray was playing on funnel vision and it just like monsoon, like typical Florida weather. So we got up, like, underneath, you know, like the. What's that pool up top? We're like, you know, the. [00:24:30] Speaker A: The adult area. That's up top. We were like under one of those. [00:24:34] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:24:34] Speaker A: Awnings. [00:24:35] Speaker B: And we were the only two people on deck other than a lifeguard who was standing next to us also in the shade. So his name was golden. And we sat just chit. Chatted with him for what, like, 30, 45 minutes? Yeah, yeah, it was great. [00:24:46] Speaker C: Yeah. He was just waiting for the storm to pass so that he can you. So they can decide what they're going to open in terms of pools and water slides. Yeah. [00:24:54] Speaker A: Another thing that happened was for some reason they were having issues with the Disney Cruise Line app. So we were trying to figure out, okay, what do we want to do? And we can't get on the app. So we happened. We went down to guest services and got a paper copy of them because we, like, no one knew what to do or could do, like, anything. So once we got that, we kind of started planning the rest of our week. [00:25:19] Speaker C: Yeah, that's actually real. Like, that's kind of devastating when that happens because they don't do, like, the old paper navigators that they used to hand out. This is pre Covid days had. And they didn't end it because of COVID They ended it from what I. From my memory. They ended it even before then and just kind of converted completely over to the app, but they were just trying to save, you know, save trees, right? Like, save waste. And so I'm. I'm all for that, but it's. It's. When the app goes down, it. It's. Or has issues. It's kind of a problem because that is the only way to find out where. What the. I mean, you can. You could perhaps run around the ship and look at every single board to see what's in. In individual venues, but you can't figure out what you want to do because you can't look at them all simultaneously. But they do have. It's. It's not as nice as the old navigator, you know, paper Navigator. It's essentially like an Excel spreadsheet that they will hand you that has what things are happening. And. And that's. I mean, frankly, that probably exists because the crew needs to, like, plan out where everything is for every cruise. And so they always. Yeah, they always have that as sort of the backup that. That is interesting. Now, what all did you guys end up doing then on. You know, you've got this big storm that comes. You. You're unable to do the Aqua Mouse, so Jay has to pivot a little bit. What all did you guys end up doing on embarkation day? [00:26:44] Speaker B: We went to the first trivia that they had, which was like, general trivia. Like just general Disney knowledge. And we're like, all right, we'll go sit in, see how we do. We did win that one, which was awesome. Wow. [00:26:55] Speaker C: Congrats. All right. [00:26:56] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:26:56] Speaker B: And then we went to our room, Right. Dropped our stuff in there. That's when we spoke to our stateroom host. And then there was another trivia that I was interested in doing. Disney side trick sidekick trivia, which you went somewhere else. What's that? Right. [00:27:10] Speaker A: I went to. I think it was like, music Decades or something that I did. I didn't do well. [00:27:20] Speaker C: Nice. I gotta say, if you go solo. I've given this tip before, too. If you go solo to trivia, find a. Find a team to join. Just like, find some. Some other people to join. It's always more fun than doing it completely solo. And people are really nice. And it's. You already know you have something in common with them, which is that fact that they probably like Disney or at least a little bit, or they probably otherwise wouldn't be on a Disney cruise. Right. So, yeah, the pro tip always works. All right, I want to jump over to Excursions. I want to talk about this. This Cozumel, Lucha libre, Mexican wrestling is essentially what it is. Lawrence, why don't you tell us about this excursion? [00:28:06] Speaker B: Yeah, it was great. So we hopped off board. You know, we met worlds of marvels where we had to meet. And then we walked up as a group. There was probably what, like 40 people or so. They put us in a couple different vans. It was about 25 minutes drive. [00:28:22] Speaker A: Air conditioned vans, by the way. [00:28:23] Speaker B: That was nice. [00:28:24] Speaker C: Yay. [00:28:26] Speaker B: Drive we got there. I think we maybe kind of got off a little late because like as soon as we got there it was like, hey, get your like quick drink. There was like a margarita you could get or like basically like a homemade Gatorade that they made like for the kids. And so like we quickly grabbed that and then we went into the building and like the show was starting, which was kind of nice. That like, boom, we're in it. [00:28:51] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:28:52] Speaker B: Lasted about an hour. There was like two or three matches. It was a lot of fun, a lot of crowd participation. They come out into the crowd a lot. So just a heads up, if you don't want to be a part of the show, do not sit in the front row. Or two seem to find like, or the aisles. [00:29:08] Speaker A: Yeah, they were up the stairs and all around. [00:29:11] Speaker B: Yeah, it was a full on pro wrestling experience. So if there's any pro wrestling fans on here, they'll get what I'm saying. But yeah, it was a lot of fun. Last about an hour. And then because we were with the Disney cruise, we had like a special meet and greet with the wrestlers afterwards. So if you wanted to, you could do a big group photo with all of them and then they also broke off and you could do individual photos and autographs. [00:29:33] Speaker C: So that's so fun. Yeah, yeah. And they. And, and you mentioned that doesn't happen. Not all of the, the other cruise lines don't get that experience. That's an exclusive to Disney Cruise Line. So you do have to, I think book through Disney in order to be part of Disney's group there. If you book, you could probably book this excursion separately. But then you're dealing with like the transportation and all that stuff. And then you also don't get the meet and greet. Now you said it included a drink. Did it include any snacks or stops? Or is it just the wrestling excursion? [00:30:03] Speaker B: Essentially that was just the wrestling. When it was over, there was like, like tequila tasting that you could also do on your own if you wanted to. Because we basically had like another like 45 minutes to hang out before the vans came to pick us up again. But we kind of walked around the grounds for a little bit. We did a little merchandise shop in there for the lucha libre stuff. We got a couple, couple of things. [00:30:26] Speaker C: Can you get like one of those masks? Like one of those. Yeah, because that's like, I feel like that's the, the thing about Mexican wrestling, right? Like, it's like they have these awesome crazy costumes and then these like crazy colorful masks and Yeah, I feel like that would be actually, I mean I wouldn't need to buy one because not really wrestling person, but like now. [00:30:46] Speaker B: But when you're down there and you're in it and you get all riled up, I mean there was a, I [00:30:50] Speaker A: think there's a lot, there's a lot of mass. One of the, there were like several cruise ships that had this excursion and one of the other ships that was their giveaway was they got masked before they even rolled up in there. So they walked in like, yeah, [00:31:06] Speaker C: listen, I, I did watch back in the day my, with my dad, I would watch a little. It was WWF back then, now wwe, but I used to watch some, you know, a little rowdy Roddy Piper, you know, so. [00:31:19] Speaker B: Hot rod. Yeah. [00:31:20] Speaker C: Yeah, Love it. [00:31:21] Speaker A: I will say is not the pro wrestling fan. Was still very entertaining. [00:31:27] Speaker B: You had fun. [00:31:27] Speaker A: I, I had fun, I enjoyed myself. But also like, it wasn't too long. You weren't like, okay, like when it, when is this gonna end? And like every different group, like, I guess like duo that came out had like a different thing. Like someone was like breathing fire. Like it, it was, wow. Different things going on. So. [00:31:47] Speaker C: Yeah, so they all had like different kind of shtick or like different kind of. Yeah. Oh, I love that. That's awesome. Yeah, that sounds really. I, I, I heard from, I've heard from a couple of other guests that this is like a fantastic excursion. Sounds really fun, even for the non. And I'm with you, Lauren. Not being someone who's really into wrestling, I would be happy to go on this excursion, but if it was like a four hour show, I'd be like, okay, like that's a little, that was [00:32:14] Speaker B: like my main concern too. I didn't want to be gone off the ship for too long. I think. Think on and off it was like three hours. [00:32:21] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:32:22] Speaker C: Yeah. Because with the transportation and then the sort of shopping time that they give you after. Yeah, that's awesome. That sounds great. All right, well let's, let's jump over to Castaway. Since you had two, two stops at Castaway. I'm curious like what you guys decided to do. Did you time at do a time at the family beach, were you at Serenity Bay? Did you decide to do any excursions? [00:32:46] Speaker B: So I like to run a castaway. Gotta get the metal. [00:32:48] Speaker C: Surprising. [00:32:51] Speaker B: And so I always actually run off the ship. So as soon as like I come off the gangway, I just start taking off. So I ran a couple miles. Then Lauren met up with our family that was also on board. They've got some spots there on the family beach. So after the run, yeah, we just hung out. Just kids played in the, in the sand. We all just took chairs down to the water. Hanging out and. [00:33:13] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, nice. And now the family was only on the one cruise with you, but not the second cruise. Nice. Okay, that, that's kind of nice. They balance it out, right? You did some time with, with family, you know, because you would have them on the first cruise and then, you know, the second cruise you can just kind of do adult only stuff. Now on that second time to cast away on your second cruise. I know we're, we. I'm going to jump around. As I, as I mentioned to you guys pre show, what did you. Did you something different on your second castaway day? [00:33:45] Speaker A: Well, he ran off the ship. Shocker. [00:33:48] Speaker C: Shocker. [00:33:49] Speaker A: But we actually, we did go to Serenity Bay. It was our first time ever being there. I did rent a bike I liked. I've passed him a few times just riding around. I enjoy that a lot more than running. But we were able to stay there. We were one of the first people off the ship. One of the first people down to Serenity Bay. And you know, some people are still like when they get off the ship, they're still trying to figure things out. I knew like which tram I was getting on. I was in the back of the island. I was on the tram past him running. And then we stayed at Serenity Bay for a while. We ate at the new food place that's back there, which was good. And then we, we went back on the ship for a trivia with Yo. [00:34:36] Speaker B: Yo. [00:34:38] Speaker C: Nice. Nice. [00:34:39] Speaker A: Which we won. It was Disney cult classic. [00:34:43] Speaker B: Wow. [00:34:44] Speaker A: There were only like five people in there because everyone. [00:34:47] Speaker C: Because everybody was on Castaway. [00:34:49] Speaker B: Yeah, it was, it was hard. [00:34:50] Speaker A: Like it was very hard. [00:34:51] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:34:52] Speaker B: I think like we won with a score of what? I don't like 13 and a half, 14. Yeah. Or something. [00:34:56] Speaker C: Oh, wow. [00:34:56] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:34:57] Speaker C: Yeah. That must have been super hard. Yeah. I mean, I feel like with the trivia is like you need to have like either perfect score or close to perfect score to win most trivia. So let's say there's, you know, 20 points available. You need to have 19 or 20 points for most trivias in order to win because there's going to be another group that's got, you know, the same. [00:35:18] Speaker B: It was nice with the. The. Both the. The back to back salons was with the trivias was there's a couple times where it's like, you know, maybe there's a questionable winner when it came to the trivias. So then all the cast members started doing like, okay, hey, now switch and grade the person's paper next to you. And what? And then. And surprisingly, the amount of perfect scores went down significantly after that, you know. [00:35:39] Speaker C: Yes, absolutely, that's true. There are people who, when they're scoring themselves, will score themselves too liberally, let's say. Right. They'll be like, their answer won't be, like, completely wrong. I don't think most people will, like, a hundred percent cheat in the sense of like, oh, I've got this answer completely wrong and I'm going to change it to the right answer. I feel like it's more of a. The answer's like, close to right. Right. Like there's like the name of a song, but it's like a little bit. The title's not exactly perfect. Right. A little off or a lyric or they know the last name of the artist, but they don't know the first name of the artist. Or with conga, they'll say Gloria Estefan instead of Miami Sound Machine, which I always get. [00:36:24] Speaker A: Right. [00:36:24] Speaker C: Right. See, and I have gotten it wrong before, but I will. Lauren, I tell you, never again will I get it wrong, because I got it wrong one time and now I know it's not Gloria. Stefan. Stefan. It is Miami Sound Machine. If you ever get asked that question of who the group or artist is for conga. So fans of Guardians of the Galaxy will know exactly what we're talking about. [00:38:02] Speaker C: You spent your Nassau day on board the ship, I take it? Yeah. [00:38:07] Speaker A: Okay. [00:38:07] Speaker C: All right, so let's talk about some of those experiences on the Destiny that you all were looking forward to. I'm. I'm curious if you got to check all those boxes. Lauren, you. Yeah, you got. All right. I love it. Okay, so tell me. Let's. We started with. With the. Well, the Cruella show. I know you. That was one of your sort of top things to do. Lauren, what did you think of. Of that? [00:38:31] Speaker A: It was really good. I liked that it was a small group. It felt like a little bit more special. The guy that was playing the piano was the same from the Nightingale's piano bar when we were on the Wish. So nice to see him again. [00:38:48] Speaker B: There's also Liz, actually. [00:38:50] Speaker A: Yeah. He's from the Virginia area, so, like, pretty. [00:38:53] Speaker B: I work in Virginia, so he's actually pretty close to where. Where I'm at, working wise. [00:38:56] Speaker A: So, yeah, so that was cool. And then Ziya was in there doing her thing, and she's just really dynamic and super great at improv. And, you know, we got to create the little song and she did really well, including everybody in it and like, just the whole design of it. You're sitting in front of a Dalmatian piano. We were in sitting in chairs that were like 6ft tall. Like, it was super. Just a really awesome place to be. [00:39:25] Speaker C: Yeah, it's such a great show. For those who don't know on the Destiny, there's these things they call them meet and play activities. Some of them are adult only, like this one that we're talking about. It's called treble making with Cruella, and it happens in the Deville's Bar, or Deville's Lounge, I think is technically the title. But Deville's is an adult only. Space. Space all the time, you know, Kids during the day could pop in to look at it if it's not being used for something, for some kind of activity. But kids are not. It's. It is not a kid friendly space. It is not intended. It's supposed to be an adult only bar. But it does have this really awesome interactive show that I fully think is repeatable. Now, did you guys attempt to repeat it? I'm curious what the lines were like. That's been the biggest complaint of people. [00:40:14] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, that, that was big. So like when we got on, knew that there's all these, these things that we want to do, but luckily for us, we have nine days to get them done. So we actually didn't do the Corella experience until our last, last night on board. [00:40:28] Speaker C: Oh, wow. [00:40:29] Speaker B: And anytime we. Yeah, let's kind of walk over there and see what's up. The, the line was already super long. It's like, all right, well when's the next time that we might maybe do it? And so we're like, all right, we're running out of, running out of days. We're running out of time to do it. So we're like, okay, we're committed. You know, we're going to go like, basically to like the last one they had available. And then we got over there like an hour or so. [00:40:49] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:40:49] Speaker B: An hour early and there was already like a group of like five or six people ahead of us. So like I would wait in line, she walk around for a little bit, then we switch. But actually it ended up being a small group. It wasn't like a complete like sellout, if you will, for that one, but. [00:41:04] Speaker C: Oh wow. [00:41:04] Speaker B: Yeah, we did get lucky. We had heard actually through, you know, listening to you guys, the best time to do the Dr. Facilier experience is, is on embarkation day. So we were the last two people in like the very first group that they did, which is a lot of fun. I got lucky, I got picked to sit at the table, which was a lot of fun to get roasted basically for however long that was. [00:41:28] Speaker C: But yeah, that's awesome. Now did you do that on your first embarkation day or your second embarcation day? Oh, your first one. So you did. Yeah. You did, right. Yeah. Embarkation dates definitely in the, the earlier on embarcation day the better because you don't have necessarily everybody on board yet. So if you, if you hit that. I don't know if they have like a one o' clock or something like that. That's probably. [00:41:49] Speaker A: Yeah, we did it before the drill. [00:41:52] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. That's definitely the way to go. The other option is you could do it during the sail away party. And if you're not. If you're not, you know, mad about missing, you know, the deck party. Some people want to see every sail away deck party. For me once. [00:42:09] Speaker A: Center. [00:42:09] Speaker C: Yeah. For me once. I've seen it once or twice. I. I'm okay to skip it. It. But I do want to always. I want. And I got to see it on every ship. So it's not like. And I know that there's. Across the wish class. They're not identical, but very, very similar. There's always, like, you know, one part that's different from ship to ship, but then on, like, the fantasy and the dream, identical between the two on the magic and the wonder. Identical between the two other than Disney wonder versus Disney magic. So the music is a little different, but. Yeah. Well, all right, well, so you guys, you hit up two of the. The character experiences. Did you feel like they were worth the wait? I know you didn't wait too long for Facilier, but you waited quite a long time for. For Cruella. [00:42:59] Speaker B: Yeah, they're definitely worth it, I feel like. For sure. So I'm glad we were able to do them. So. [00:43:03] Speaker C: Yeah. Would you do them again if you're back on the Destiny, or would you be like, oh, no, I checked that off my list so I don't have to do that again. [00:43:10] Speaker B: Dr. Facilier. For me, I would. If we were walking by and oh, hey, they're doing it. Oh, there's not a long line. Let's do it. But I would definitely wait for Cruellas again. That was a lot of fun. [00:43:19] Speaker A: And I feel like Cruella's like, the way that the show is. It's a completely different experience every time you go. So I definitely would want to do Cruella's again. [00:43:27] Speaker C: Yeah, I agree. I think that's the one that's probably the. The more repeatable. And I. Did you guys see the Maleficent under her spell show as well? [00:43:38] Speaker B: We, like, were walking by when it was going on, I think. I can't remember. [00:43:42] Speaker A: We waited in line to meet Malefice. I don't think we didn't see the show. [00:43:46] Speaker C: Yeah, well. And that one, I was gonna say, is more like Facilier in that I don't know that it does involve audience interaction, but I don't. It's not as repeatable as, like, the Cruella one. It wouldn't be significantly different from show to show. It's. It's even Though there is some. Some audience interplay with the. With the character. All right, well, with great power. Lawrence, that was your on. That was number one on your list. Of course we're going to talk about Hercules, but I'm saving shows for. For later. I got you. Yeah. What did you guys think of it? And did you go to like that first show? Did you go to the late show? Did you go to both? And did you do this? Did you do it more than once? And you only had Ziya. You. You're. You didn't have a gamble. [00:44:30] Speaker B: So we did. It wasn't gamble. [00:44:34] Speaker A: Oh, I don't. [00:44:35] Speaker C: Venturo or something. Yes. Yeah. [00:44:38] Speaker B: So we. We like to talk to cast members and whatnot when we're on board, no matter where we are. So we kind of got a little bit of the rundown as to, you know, why Mr. Gamble was no longer on board. But yeah, there was Ventura. [00:44:52] Speaker A: I mean, he was great. [00:44:53] Speaker B: Yeah, it was great. I mean, he is also pain or panic in the Hercules show. He. Somewhere around. [00:45:01] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:45:01] Speaker B: Places, whatnot. But yeah, we went to the second showing, though, because again, listening to you guys, maybe the second show is a little bit more, you know, loose, a little more lively, ready to go. [00:45:11] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. It's all the. Both the Marvel. Yeah. With Great power is an adult only show it in saga, but there's like a 7:30 and like a 10 or 10:30 show. And yes, the 10 third. The later show tends to be the livelier show. People are a little. A little juiced up. That's a good way. Yeah. [00:45:29] Speaker A: And we went on our first cruise and the second one. [00:45:32] Speaker C: Yeah. And how. How did. [00:45:34] Speaker A: Well, one. [00:45:35] Speaker C: Did you. Was it as good both times? I'm curious. [00:45:39] Speaker B: I think so. [00:45:40] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:45:41] Speaker C: Yeah. And did you have the same Venturo for both as well? [00:45:46] Speaker A: Yes, we did. And then we had a different. Who does the pantomiming on the side? One cruise, it was Oliver. And then the other cruise. [00:45:56] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. The person who kind of runs the props. Right. The prop person in the show. Okay. So they. Yeah, so they. I wonder. I wonder if they're doing sort of more cross training or if it was. Well, they wouldn't have been changing over cast, but yeah, I mean, especially when they're missing a cast member. Like, they kind of have to pitch in a little bit more and cover different activities. And as you mentioned, Ziya was doing troublemaking on her own without counterparts. So certain shows that the. So Ziya and Gamble, for those who haven't heard us talk about this before on the show, they're the storytellers on the Disney Destiny. The Disney Treasure, and the Disney Wish also have storytellers, two characters on each of the ships. And some of the shows that these storytellers do, particularly on the Destiny and on the Treasure, really do require two people. You would not be able to do a one, one person show and. But some of them are ones that they can kind of, you know, do both parts and. And do it on their own. And so Zaya, when Gamble was let go from Disney Cruise Line, let's just put it that way, there'll be a new there. There is a new Gamble on board now as. But there was a time there was, I think, a couple week period at least, where there was no Gamble on board. So, yeah, Ziya had to cover some of the shows solo. And then other shows, other main stage cast filled in, and that's what they. That's what they did for. With great power, which is, you know, good that they have that kind of. That versatility to have people who can fill in. But it's a. It's a lot to learn and. But I gotta say, those actors just really step it up and their improv skills is incredible. Now, you mentioned that you all are big Marvel fans. [00:47:43] Speaker A: Do. [00:47:43] Speaker C: Did you feel like you. Well, one, did they stay true to the mcu and did you feel like somebody who isn't a Marvel fan could enjoy that show? [00:47:53] Speaker A: I think for the most part, like, the jokes were like, yes. Is it more funny the more. You know? Of course it is, but there were still a lot of jokes that you could pick up what they were putting down. Like, some of them were just. Just general, funny jokes that had a Marvel theme. [00:48:07] Speaker C: Yeah, totally agree. I don't think you have to be deep into the mcu. I think if you at least know who the characters are, that's, like, probably gonna make the experience. Well, I think if you at least know who the characters are, you're gonna have a fun time. If you're deep into the mcu, you will, like, have an even better time. If you don't at all know the mcu, you might enjoy it, but it might not be. You might not get all the levels of. Of. Of funniness that. That go into that. All right, well, let's shift over to food. Now, you mentioned you're not foodies, so I know we're talking pool deck food, main dining, Marceline market. Like, but what do you guys. What did you guys think of the food? Is like, is Pride Lands too adventurous for you? Or did. Was that. Or was that a good fit? [00:48:56] Speaker A: No, we went to at least all the restaurants at least once. We did skip dinner a couple times. Because, trivia, let's be honest. We have things to win. [00:49:06] Speaker C: We have medals to win. We got it. We got to get the whole. You know, gotta get the whole collection of medals, right? Yeah. [00:49:13] Speaker B: So we didn't go to dinner the first two nights on our first sailing, and that, like, broke our server's heart, because when we finally met him, he was like, what can I do to make the experience better? And we had explained him, like, it's not. [00:49:24] Speaker D: It's. [00:49:24] Speaker B: It's not you guys at all. It's us. Yeah, it's not you, it's me. It's every situation. And I even saw him, like, around the ship during the day, and he, like, stopped me. He was like, what? Like, really? Like, what can we do? Or change or whatever? I was like, I'm telling you, man. Like, it's not. You guys. You're good. Your service is phenomenal. [00:49:40] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:49:40] Speaker B: You're hustling. It's just. We're just not super into that stuff. But, yeah. [00:49:44] Speaker A: Pride Lands. For the purpose of the show, sure. We had Pride Lands. I. Between the two cruises, we were on Pride Land Lands. We went to Pride Lands three times, and the show was a little different each time. [00:49:57] Speaker C: Oh, interesting. [00:49:58] Speaker A: Yeah, they had, like, a. On Pirate Night, it was a. They did a couple different songs than before, but on the first. On the first cruise, like, there actually weren't that many seafood dishes. And then on the second one, it was, like, all the seafood options. [00:50:18] Speaker C: Interesting. [00:50:18] Speaker A: They may have been running low on some supplies, and then they restocked, and then. Because usually one of the things that I. I'm a very picky eater, but one of the foods that I like are scallops, and usually they have a scallop entree or, you know, appetizer, and there were zero on the first. [00:50:36] Speaker C: Oh, interesting. [00:50:38] Speaker A: So then second cruise, I got it for every meal. [00:50:43] Speaker C: You know, some. Some. You know what you like. Right? That's. That's how it works. Yeah. Awesome. Well, did you enjoy the. The show in Pride Lands? Cause obviously, that's. I mean, that's one of the draws, I think, for the Disney destiny. It is, of course, unique. Pride Lands is not on any other ship, whereas the other two restaurants, World of Marvel and 1923, are on the other Wish Class ships. Yeah. So what did you guys think of? [00:51:07] Speaker A: Was Amazing. Absolutely amazing. [00:51:09] Speaker B: We both grew up doing marching band, and myself, I was percussionist, so if I See a set of drums anywhere, I'm locked in on that. And so that guy or the guys are doing that. They're amazing. Those same guys also did the sounds of Wakanda. Yes, that was also phenomenal. So when we were waiting for Deville's, actually that was going on. So we would kind of like take turns. Yeah. Go back and forth. [00:51:31] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. Well, especially, I mean for a percussionist, that's like a percussionist dream, right? Like seeing somebody like the drum set. Well, the drum kit that he has in the, in the restaurant is like incredible. I don't know how many drums are on that thing, but it is like every different kind of African drum you could possibly imagine is there. And then you have the other guy who's walking around with. I don't know if it's a bongo drum, but as a non drummer person, I was like that. To me it feels like it's a bongo drum. [00:52:01] Speaker A: Right. [00:52:01] Speaker C: The other guy who's walking around playing bongos. And so it's. Yeah, it's incredible. It is a bit noisy if you're close to that drum kit. I have given this tip before, but we for, for Pride Lands, that's the one restaurant where we bring headphones for our son Nathan. Because it gets really. It's quite loud if you're anywhere close to the stage and you don't necessarily know where your table is going to be before you, before you go there for the first time. Yeah. All right, well, what about the, the other dining? Now had you experienced, you hadn't experienced that show in Marvel before? [00:52:41] Speaker A: No, it was a different show this time around. Like the first when we were on the Wish, like Spider man popped up and it was a whole thing. And this time we had like the trivia stuff. [00:52:53] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. [00:52:53] Speaker B: One night we just all just trivia the entire time, which was fine. And our table mates, we all got along pretty well, so that was fun for the three of us to all kind of figure out the answers to things together. So. [00:53:04] Speaker C: Yeah. Your. For your table mates, did you just get matched with random people and was. Did that all work out for both cruises and did that all work out with. [00:53:13] Speaker B: Well, yeah, I mean, we requested a private table, but both of our sailings ended up being pretty busy. Like our first one, I'm not sure the exact number is probably close to like 90% full. [00:53:24] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:53:24] Speaker B: So we're like, all right, I get it. And then we were hoping that the second sale would be a little less. Actually for the second one it was completely sold out. [00:53:32] Speaker C: Wow. [00:53:33] Speaker B: We heard cast members telling each other, yeah, there's, there was 4,020 guests on board. [00:53:37] Speaker A: Oh, wow. [00:53:38] Speaker C: Yeah. Really? I mean, you're talking like almost 100% cap. When, when they say sold out, that means rooms, but like talking over 4,000 people, that's almost every bed that's filled as well. In every room. Yeah, exactly. [00:53:52] Speaker B: It definitely felt that way. I mean, we had a blast. We had a great time. But I did tell, I told Lauren if our second sailing was my first experience cruising, I probably would not sign up to do it again. Everywhere we wanted to go, anything we wanted to do was just full of people all the time. And we've been on other sailings where it hasn't been like that. It was kind of of, I won't say jarring, but just like, all right, like we want to go do this thing. All right, we now we have to add an extra 15 minutes ahead of that to, to get there just to make sure we got a spot. Even like whether it was a sit down or just to be like in like Trident. Sometimes Tridents was like standing room only. [00:54:28] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. And that's where they do a lot of the trivias for the, the adult only trivias especially. They do them in that tritons, which is such a small space. They also do karaoke in there. And it's, it's really, for Disney fans. Trivia is pretty popular, especially Disney adults. And so that space can really get filled. The problem, I, I, and this is, you know, it, this is one of the drawbacks of the, the wish class in general is there's lots of cool spaces, but they're all on the small side. And so there aren't as many sort of. Well, on the older ships you've got, got less number of spaces, so they can't do as many activities at once, but the spaces they have in general are bigger. And so, yeah, it's kind of the, the, the trade offs between, between the classes of ships. All right, well, we have to talk shows because that's, you know, my favorite thing on a Disney cruise. Sitting in the Walt Disney Theater watching whatever production is happening in front of me. You mentioned at the top of the show, Lauren, on your must do list was Hercules. That movie is like something really special to both of you. Special to me. Did you go to all the shows? Let's start. Let's not start. Well, let's leave the, let's leave Hercules for dessert. Or as I, or as. I don't know. Actually, I don't love Dessert as much, but let's leave it for the end. But yeah. Did you go to the other. The other two shows on? [00:56:00] Speaker A: We went to Frozen one of the times, but that was. And then we did the Broadway. [00:56:07] Speaker C: Right, The Broadway stars. Okay. And you skipped CZ Adventure then. [00:56:11] Speaker A: Yes, we went to every Broadway stars showing. [00:56:17] Speaker C: Nice. [00:56:18] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:56:21] Speaker A: We had Kara Lindsey from Newsies. [00:56:23] Speaker C: Oh, cool. [00:56:24] Speaker A: Her husband, Kevin Massey, who originated Tarzan on Broadway. [00:56:29] Speaker C: Oh, cool. Yeah, he was just on the D23. He did one of the performances that streamed. Yeah. The original Tarzan. Well, how was the show in the Walt Disney Theater and how was the show in Saga? Obviously, the Saga one is the adult show and the one in the Walt Disney Theater is the everyone show. [00:56:51] Speaker A: It was amazing and amazing and probably like one of the highlights of the entire cruise. He's a big Newsies fan. I'm just general. Just Broadway. Like, I go see a couple shows. I grew up in musical theater a lot, which is probably why I wasn't going to Disney. [00:57:09] Speaker C: But do you guys go to the Hippodrome in Baltimore? [00:57:13] Speaker A: I've been to quite a few shows there, like, growing up, but our kids are in sports, so we don't have a life outside of. Of the sport. [00:57:23] Speaker C: Gotcha. [00:57:25] Speaker A: But I've seen a couple shows. Yeah, a couple shows there. But the one, they're already. They're a couple. So, like, they work very well together. They sing very well together. They did song, like, Disney songs, you know, from other roles. Like, Carol Lindsay was also Mary Poppins, so she was able to sing. She did like, a couple songs from that, like, and they just kind of went back and forth. But to see Carol Lindsay perform. Watch what happens from Newsies, like, live. [00:57:59] Speaker C: So cool. [00:58:00] Speaker A: I can't tell you how many times we've watched it on Disney, so it was nice to see it in person. [00:58:05] Speaker C: That's awesome. Now, did they also do some duets? I actually, I love a duet. And if you have a couple doing a duet, it's just, you know, that much better. [00:58:14] Speaker A: They did Suddenly Seymour. Yep. [00:58:19] Speaker C: Oh, my God. From Little Shop. That's the best. [00:58:23] Speaker A: That was, like, top notch for me. I got really excited when they did that. [00:58:27] Speaker C: Oh, that's awesome. And. And I imagine their adult show was as good as, if not better. Sometimes I. I like, you know, that's a much smaller, more intimate venue to do a show in Saga. I love that. I think that's, like, incredible. Did you guys, like, line up early to. To get. To do those. To get certain seats, or were you just like, we just want to get In we don't really care with the [00:58:47] Speaker B: Walt Disney Theater, Broadway 1. We did the. For the first showing and then we're like, all right, it's not, it wasn't like, you know the line for Hercules. So then we, we saw that both time. Both showings. For the second one. Yeah, we basically just like walked in like 10 minutes before it. Sat almost in the exact same seats like down front. And for the, the adult show. Adult show. Go. [00:59:10] Speaker A: We had a trivia in there right before. Like it was, it was 80s or 90s music trivia was in there just before. And when they came out they were like we were jamming to all the songs like backstage. [00:59:22] Speaker B: That's right. [00:59:23] Speaker A: And so we were already like sat in our seat and most people stayed like they did not leave. And then we. I forget what we did in between because I don't think we made it to dinner that night. Night. And then we came right back and we ended up sitting in the same seat with someone we actually met at that trivia. [00:59:41] Speaker C: Oh, awesome. All right, well, I gotta ask you, you skipped dinner quite a bit and you said that earlier but like do you just like grab food from the pool deck? Do you? Because obviously like cabanas isn't. Oh. Or not cabanas. Marceline Market isn't open for dinner at all. Not even, you know, not back in the day they used to have like you could do a sit down dinner in cabanas. This was pre wish class and you would basically be ordering off like the main dining menus. But it was a little more casual setting and it was a little bit more free form in terms of what time you showed up for dinner. But that hasn't been available on board for a while. With one exception, which is I announced on the live show just maybe a week or two ago that they are doing in Alaska. They're sort of trying out doing that dinner in cabanas because those port days are so long. People are missing their dining time. But yeah. Did you guys just hit up the, the, the pool deck food? Were you. Was it like pizza every night? Because some of the things. Some of the, some of the things close down for certain hours and so you have to time it exactly right as to what you want to eat. [01:00:43] Speaker B: That that's exactly right timing. So I would always go to a festival of. Of food. Like right when they would open, I'd get a little, you know, just a nice little bowl once, come back a couple hours later get another one and then like I think they close at six right or something like that. So I'd be right there at like 5:55 to get another bowl tied me over. And then what time like does the pizza open up after that? Like later? [01:01:07] Speaker C: Yeah, the pizza opens up at like when the, when like the other food closes, which is 6 then I feel like pizza. And maybe pizza opens up then. And I think burgers are the only other thing that like stays open. But pizza is the only thing that's open like late obviously. [01:01:22] Speaker A: Yeah, we actually like, we're really good at rice. We would get to trivia. One of us would go up, get what we needed, come back down, switch. Because I'm more the pizza. He wanted that. So it was an easy time to switch. [01:01:36] Speaker C: Oh yeah. [01:01:38] Speaker A: And go. I actually saw that's where I met like the most cast members was in line for pizza. Yeah. [01:01:45] Speaker C: Well they start to get to know you, right. If you're like, you're there like so like Lawrence is at Chipotle at Sea, Donald's Cantina every night at 5:55pm you're at pizza at like 6:05 5:00pm Right. Every night. So like they, yeah, they're like, oh, she's the pizza. She wants her pepperoni and plain or whatever. [01:02:05] Speaker A: Right. [01:02:05] Speaker C: Like every. Yeah. Did I, did I guess it right. By the way, Lauren, Just cheese pizza. Just cheese. Okay. [01:02:12] Speaker A: Yep. [01:02:13] Speaker C: All right. Love it. All right, well, okay, so you, you hit up the Broadway stars show. All of them, which is awesome. I love. I, I, I don't like to skip dinner. I like main dining. But so I usually just go to one of the main stage and then if it's on my sailing and then of course the adult only version. But I envy the commitments that you had to seeing all of them. All right, well, let's, let's talk what you thought of Frozen. [01:02:40] Speaker A: Frozen was really good. I saw Frozen was on witch ship. [01:02:47] Speaker B: Well, I saw the witch, one of the two. [01:02:49] Speaker C: Yeah. Frozen is on the fantasy. Yeah. It's actually on three ships. Crazy enough. It's on the wonder, it's on the fantasy and then it's on the destiny. Yeah. [01:03:02] Speaker A: Yeah, it was. What I liked about it was trying to figure out who from Hercules was who in Frozen. We spent a good amount of time, you know, doing that and I can't say enough about the performers. They are just absolutely phenomenal. Like there's doing something full out and then there's what Disney puts on stage. It's, it's really in a league of their own. [01:03:24] Speaker C: Could not agree more. It is. They are just so good. All Right now, we left this for the. For the end, but. Hercules. Hercules. Hercules. What'd you guys. What'd you guys think? [01:03:36] Speaker B: It was definitely worth booking. [01:03:37] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:03:38] Speaker C: Wow, that. I mean, that's. Yeah, that's. Strong words, Lawrence. Yeah. Wow. [01:03:43] Speaker B: Great time. Forget who the, like, who was playing Hercules. Obviously it wasn't the original guy, but one of the nights when we were, like, packing, we were watching the Hercules show in the state room, and that was, you know, the previous, like, cast, which was the original. Original cast. I actually liked our Hercules better than. Than the man. [01:04:01] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:04:02] Speaker B: I mean, I know a lot of people may not be the biggest fan of his, but I think he killed it. [01:04:06] Speaker C: Yeah, I've seen clips of him. I think he's incredible. Like the. I don't remember his name either, but the current Hercules on board. Yeah, I. His. He's, to me, looks incredible. I've seen quite a few clips. Yeah. [01:04:20] Speaker A: Yeah. We also had. We had. We got to see two different Megaras. [01:04:26] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:04:27] Speaker A: I think it was due to an injury, but for the early show, there was one Megara. For the late show, there was a different Megara. And then the second cruise, it was back to the original. So I think, you know, maybe an injury or something had happened where they couldn't perform. Because also then in the first show, Hercules had parents, and in the second show, Hercules only had a death. [01:04:51] Speaker C: There you go. So Mom. So Hercules's mom became Megara. That's a good clue. Look at. Look at that. Lauren, we're sleuthing. Lauren, we got here. [01:05:03] Speaker D: I love it. [01:05:04] Speaker C: I love it. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, there is. Think it's those actors, like, just as I mentioned, the versatility, right. The fact that, like, somebody in the early show was one character and then something happens, and then they have to. Literally an hour's notice, right? And they've got to, like, make. Make sure the costume fits and all of that stuff. They got to do all the things to get that person ready. And you know that that person isn't, like, doing that. That character every day, so they're having to remember the lines that they've, you know, memorized from both before and, And. And all the blocking, all the stage blocking of knowing where to stand and the dance moves and I mean, it's. Yeah, it's incredibly complicated to. Especially to take over a role that you're not used to doing, you know, day in and day out, it's much easier to repetitively do the same role over and over again. Wow, that's. That's awesome. You guys. All right, well, have I missed anything? I feel like we've covered most of the topics and I'm just trying to think if there's anything we've missed, any experiences, anything good, bad, weird about the Disney Destiny that we haven't talked about. [01:06:12] Speaker B: We love doing the tour of the ship. We did that. That was great. [01:06:18] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, that. Imagineering the Destiny or obvious. On the wish class, it's called imagineering the blank name of ship. And then on the older ships is called Art of the theme ship tour. And it's something you can book in the app once you're connected to the ship's wi fi. So you can book it in when you're at the port terminal or on board. You can't book it in advance. And it's an adult only tour. I love it too. I think it's a great way to sort of understand some of the imagineering choices and pointing out details that you might not otherwise know. Yeah, I love that. Awesome. [01:06:51] Speaker B: So that was great. And then there was a day we spent like 30 minutes just walking around 1923 when it was empty, just, like, looking at all the artwork and details and all this stuff from the movies. And I mean, because I've told that before, I was like, I wish we could just walk around in here. And then the door was cracked open. We, like, poked our head in and it's like, all right, well, if we don't touch anything, I think we'll be all right. And yeah, it was. It was fun. [01:07:14] Speaker C: Yeah, they absolutely will let you do that. Like, so even if there's a cast member there, as long as they're not in the middle of setup or cleanup, they will let you go in when they're not using the space to. To do. Exactly. I mean, it's like a museum in there. And you don't really get to. If you go in there for dinner, you really don't get to look at all of the different displays because. Because you feel awkward, like leaning over somebody's dinner table. But if you go in there when it's empty, that's the perfect time. And if you want to take pictures of any of the displays, you can, of course. Yeah. That's awesome. Love that. Great, you guys. Well, that's some stellar pro tip out there. All right, well, we've reached that point in the show where I'm going to subject you to some arbitrary rules, some arbitrary questions, and a dash of judgment, or the round we call rapid fire. All right, so I'm going to ask you Some Disney favorites and then Disney Cruise Line favorites. For the Disney Cruise Line favorites, please limit your answers to a ship or place you have already been yourself. So not something you're looking. You may be really excited to go on the Disney treasure, but you haven't been on the treasure yet, so you can't answer with the Disney treasure. All right, so starting with favorite Disney character, and Disney means anything and everything that Disney owns. So you can choose the Simpsons, you can choose Lucasfilms, any of that stuff. All right, so let's start with favorite Disney character. Lauren. [01:08:36] Speaker A: Lauren Buzz Lightyear. [01:08:38] Speaker C: Lawrence. [01:08:39] Speaker B: All right, I knew these were coming, so I kind of cheated a little bit, and it was hard for me to choose one, so I kind of did Mount Rushmore. So I got four real quick. I got power. Yeah, I got power line, Scrooge McDuck, Wilbur from the Rescuers, and Tito from Oliver Company. [01:08:54] Speaker C: Oh, I love it. Oh, my God, I love it. Good job, Lawrence. Way to prepare. I know. Listen, we, we can break. I love that. Well, I actually love when people break the rules and, and give me like two or four or whatever characters giving me a one. So I, I, I very much appreciate that. All right, favorite Disney movie. Lawrence. [01:09:16] Speaker B: There's only one answer. A Goofy movie. [01:09:18] Speaker C: Yes. [01:09:21] Speaker B: That's, that's top tier. Goofy movie is number one. [01:09:23] Speaker C: It, it is a top tier movie. All right, Lauren, favorite movie. [01:09:27] Speaker A: A Toy Story. Shocker. [01:09:29] Speaker C: Yeah, I love it. [01:09:30] Speaker D: Love it. [01:09:31] Speaker C: I love, I love. [01:09:32] Speaker A: I'm gonna be like, forgot if you're gonna be specific. Yeah, I'm going to it, too. [01:09:36] Speaker C: All right, all right. I love it. Awesome. I, by the way, I bought those Woody shoes that Adidas was selling, and I paid way too much money for them, but they're adorable and I love them, and I don't care. [01:09:48] Speaker A: Hey, dudes. That I wore on the ship and got a million compliments on. [01:09:51] Speaker C: Oh, I love that. I love that. Awesome. All right, favorite Disney song. Lauren. [01:09:57] Speaker A: I would probably go with Happily Ever After. [01:10:01] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:10:03] Speaker A: Whole. If I could really do like that song with all the songs played in the fireworks show, like, all 40, whatever minutes. Like, I do. I pick that. [01:10:11] Speaker C: I love that. I love that. All right, Lawrence, Is it eye to eye? [01:10:15] Speaker B: It is eye to eye and close second would be Happily Ever after, so. [01:10:19] Speaker C: Yeah, I love it. I know. I mean, no judgment there. Eye to eye is like stellar 90s Disney music. Love it. Love it. All right, you guys, we're going to jump over to Disney Cruise Line. I'm not sure if this is going to be that Hard for you all, but what is your favorite Disney Cruise Line? Stage show. So not Broadway star series. We love Broadway star series, but that's not really Disney Cruise Line. Those are not actual cast members. We're talking mainstage show. Lawrence. Which one is it? [01:10:50] Speaker B: Hercules. [01:10:51] Speaker C: Lauren. [01:10:52] Speaker A: Hercules. [01:10:55] Speaker C: For those who can't tell, I'm clapping. [01:10:59] Speaker A: Specifically the second guest. [01:11:01] Speaker C: All right, all right. Love it. All right, well, let's talk food. I want to talk a favorite. Actually, let's do favorite dining rotation. So favorite main dining rotation. Restaurant. And it can be across any of the, the ships that you've been on. So it doesn't have to be from the Destiny, but which one is your favorite restaurant? Lauren? [01:11:21] Speaker A: Frozen. [01:11:23] Speaker C: Nice. Lawrence. Arendelle. [01:11:25] Speaker B: Yeah, it's not main dining, but I'm going Donald's Cantina. [01:11:29] Speaker C: I love that. Breaking rules left and right. Lawrence. All right, we're going to talk a favorite savory item and a favorite sweet item. We start with the sweets because I like the savories. We save the savories for last. Lawrence. What's a favorite sweet item on Disney cruise? [01:11:45] Speaker B: Churro waffles. [01:11:46] Speaker C: Yeah. Lauren. [01:11:48] Speaker A: Churro waffles. [01:11:49] Speaker C: Nice. All right. Okay, I, I, I think I know where we're going with this next question, but I'm, I'm going to predict. I know the answ. The to from each of you. I actually, I know the answers, but, Lauren, what's your favorite savory item, and why is it pizza? [01:12:07] Speaker A: I also do like the scallop pasta dish. [01:12:10] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, totally. [01:12:12] Speaker A: That is, like, so much butter. So, so good. [01:12:16] Speaker C: Yeah, that's the one that they have in Marvel typically, right? Yeah, it's real. That is a really good dish. Lawrence, what is it and why is it a bowl at Donald's? Can't you, Tina. [01:12:26] Speaker B: Yep. Quick and easy. By the time, I think at the end of our first sailing, when I came walking up, the lady just, like, looked at me and was like. [01:12:35] Speaker C: And just, yeah, she's just started making your bowl. Yeah. She even knew what to put in it. Yeah. [01:12:40] Speaker B: Yep, 100%. [01:12:41] Speaker C: The only thing that would make Donald's Cantina better. Chips with the guacamole. [01:12:48] Speaker B: That would be nice to have option of chips. [01:12:51] Speaker C: Yeah. I mean, I would do it on the side. I'd still get, like, my tacos or my bowl. But I, I would love to. I, I really, I think they, I think they're doing guacamole really well, and I would just. Yeah, I'm a big chips and guacamole person. All right, you have been on the Aqua Duck and the Aqua Mouse. You haven't been on the classic ship. So not Aqua Dunk. I have a feeling you guys would like it. You seem like. You seem like adventurous people in that sense, even though you're not adventurous on the food side of the things. But tell me, Aqua Duck versus Aqua Mouse, which one is better? Lawrence? [01:13:27] Speaker B: I'll say Aqua Mouse, mainly because on one of the nights of our sailing, we got to ride it three times in a row without having to get off at all, which was great. So I'll go Aquamous. [01:13:37] Speaker C: Lauren, what about you? [01:13:38] Speaker A: I would agree. And I like, go multiple times in a row. I don't know what is up with that water, but it is always freezing. It is if we have been in spring and summer and it is cold all of the time, no matter what's happening. So it's a lot easier if I can just stay in the frozen water, then get out and get back in. [01:13:57] Speaker C: Absolutely. And you don't have to do the stairs all those times. Right. So if there's no line on the Aqua Mouse, because it's all on the same track, I'll call it. Right. Like, it kind of. It takes you essentially in a circle, and so you don't. You're not going down. Whereas on the. The Aqua dock, on the Fantasy and the Dream, you are going down, like, two levels. Like, where it starts is two levels higher, and where it ends is two levels below. So on the main pool deck. And so you have to go back up the stairs in order to do. [01:14:31] Speaker B: Right again. [01:14:32] Speaker C: Yeah, right again. Yeah. So you can't really do back to back. There's always going to be people in between, but yeah. All right, you guys. Awesome. Okay, favorite ship. This is always the most. The most controversial. Least controversial, I don't know. But most important question, Lauren, which one is your favorite ship? [01:14:51] Speaker A: The Wish. [01:14:52] Speaker C: Oh, interesting. All right. [01:14:54] Speaker A: It was our first ship that we went on, and I think, like, you fell in love. A lot of people I know, whatever first ship they go on always is their favorite. I think that's always gonna be mine. [01:15:03] Speaker C: Yeah. What about you, Lawrence? [01:15:06] Speaker B: Well, I'll break the rules again, and I'll just say whatever ship that we're currently on. [01:15:10] Speaker C: All right, fair enough. [01:15:11] Speaker A: Fair enough. [01:15:12] Speaker B: Disney ship. I mean, I did enjoy the Destiny the most so far out of the three. [01:15:16] Speaker C: Three. [01:15:16] Speaker B: But I'm not picky. Just put me on board, and I'll be ready to roll. [01:15:20] Speaker C: Yeah, well, and you had nine nights, so it makes sense, right, that you. You get the the more nights, the better. I. I mean, in general. Right. But, like, some people are like, I don't. It doesn't matter what ship as long as, you know, the more nights on a ship and other people are more. I. You know, this is my favorite ship. I would if I could always. If I can choose every time I would go on, you know, this ship. All right, well, bucket list cruise. If you could go anywhere in the world on a Disney Cruise Line ship, a place you haven't been, perhaps, where would you go? And it doesn't have to be someplace that Disney currently sails. It could just be someplace accessible by water. So, Lawrence, let's start with you. [01:15:59] Speaker B: I think I would do one that hits all the continents. [01:16:03] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, that would be cool. All right. Lauren, what about you? [01:16:07] Speaker A: This is one that does exist. We just haven't been on it. I want to do the fjords in Norway. Norway? [01:16:13] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:16:14] Speaker A: My family is all from that area, but I've never been. And what better way? Because obviously we are picky eaters. That's why I like cruise ships. You can adventure in other countries, and I can still get pizza at the end of the night. And that's really what matters. [01:16:28] Speaker C: Yeah. I mean, I will say pizza is very, very popular. And Italian food is, of course, very popular in many other parts of Europe outside of Italy. So that is always a great good. Like the pro traveling tip. If you are, like, a super picky eater, is every country you're in, just find an Italian restaurant. It might not be the best Italian food that you're ever gonna have, but it will be something that is sort of familiar and not too scary if you happen to be on the pickier side. All right, you guys, thank you for playing you both. A plus plus even with breaking all the rules, Lawrence, love, love all the answers. What's next, you guys? Do you have. Did you book a placeholder? Do you have another booking already? You're nodding, but what. Do you have something booked? And if not, what are you planning? [01:17:16] Speaker B: So we have the fantasy booked for August of next year. We're doing five nights. And it's a cool itinerary. It does. Castaway lookout. Castaway. [01:17:25] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. The triple do or the double duo dip. Yeah, yeah. [01:17:31] Speaker B: And what's nice is her parents gonna be coming with us. My. My dad and my stepmom. Or they're already booked. And we're trying to convince my older twin sisters to come aboard with my niece. [01:17:43] Speaker A: And then we are bringing the kids on this final. [01:17:46] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, the boys are coming. [01:17:47] Speaker A: The boys are coming. [01:17:48] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:17:50] Speaker B: But we're trying to get more people to come on board. So we're, we're already booked. Like I said, my in laws are booked too, which is great. They'll have a blast. And then we do have another placeholder that's kind of just floating out there that we're hoping we can sneak on board somewhere. We definitely want to try to hit some of the classic ships before maybe they get retired. Depends on what sort of online. Yeah, rumors and stuff you like to look into and stuff because you know, the ships are getting pretty old these days so. But unfortunately with the boys both playing travel sports, it's kind of tough to find the time to do it but. [01:18:25] Speaker A: And I'm also a teacher so that limits a good chunk of the calendar. [01:18:29] Speaker C: Right, right. You've got to work with their sports schedule and your school schedule and ye, it's complicated to do that. That probably makes you know, like a seven night is a little bit harder obviously unless it fits perfectly within, you know, your spring break or whatnot. But then they might have sports. So yeah, just fitting all those things in, it can be difficult, I do think, for, for you guys and for those listening. I don't think the wonder and the magic are along for this world. So I'm not saying they're like going tomorrow or anything. They're certainly not going tomorrow, but I don't think, I don't know that we have another five years with those to two ships. I, I, you know, I know Disney hasn't announced anything and yeah, there's lots of rumors out there and I will say I don't have any inside information on this. I really don't. But it just, I think that if we're reading the tea leaves to me, I would predict that they will be gone in the next few years. So less, I would say less than five years but may, but probably more than like two. Yeah. Anyway, well thanks you guys. Thank you for joining me. It's been super fun. You're welcome to come back anytime if you want to come talk about the Fantas Sea or whatever your next cruise is.
