[00:00:00] Speaker A: And Brian, you're doing the same. You're keeping the smokestack and the.
[00:00:03] Speaker B: I am. But I'm going to throw you both a curveball here because I'm going to rip out all of that high end shopping that comes in the main level and I'm going to put in a conveyor belt restaurant. Notice I didn't say just conveyor belt sushi. It will have that. But pre dinner I've seen this concept in London. I'm going to do conveyor belt cheese. So you can sit and have wine and drinks and just grab cheese.
Enjoy it.
[00:00:30] Speaker C: All things holy. Please, please let someone from Disney be watching right now.

[00:02:13] Speaker C: Thank you. I am so excited to be here and I did not know you could get that online alone. So that's awesome. It makes such a good gift for the holidays too if you are. So yes, I'm so excited to be here. Jeffrey R. There you go.
[00:02:38] Speaker B: Get it for your non Disney fan. And they just might fall in love with Disney just based on how osmosis. There you go.
[00:02:43] Speaker C: Just put under their pillow every night.
[00:02:45] Speaker A: That's right. Well, for those who don't remember Rebecca from our previous episodes or didn't watch us on Rebecca's show, Rebecca hosts the DCL Community show on Facebook on YouTube and also runs the DCL Community Facebook group group and also the DCL Community Instagram, all the socials basically. And it's a huge community of Disney Cruise Line fans who ask tons of questions, give tips. She's got recommended travel agents also through her Facebook group, including My Path Unwinding Travel. So we've got a great relationship with Rebecca. Love having her on our show. Love having her come onto our show as well.
And that brings us to our topic of today's show, which we are super excited.
[00:03:31] Speaker B: I've been wanting to do this show for a while. I'm really excited to do this.
[00:03:35] Speaker A: And we had been brainstorming with Rebecca doing this show because she's obviously a huge Disney Cruise Line fan, has been cruising Disney Cruise Line since she was a kid and so has a ton of experience at Disney Cruise Line. So what we're going to do tonight is we're going to build our own Disney Cruise Line ship. So we're going to do this like draft style. Brian's going to sort of lead us through the different ways of building the ship. We're going to, we're going to do name theme stern character. We're going to do atrium character. We're going to do restaurants, show in the theater.
[00:04:09] Speaker B: Don't give it all away, Sam. Don't give it all away.
We're going to get into it.
[00:04:13] Speaker A: We're going to get into, we're going to cover everything.
[00:04:15] Speaker B: We try to lead, but I'm going to leave.
[00:04:16] Speaker A: But before we do, Rebecca, tell people, how many Disney cruises have you been on? Which ships have you been on and what kinds of itineraries have you been on? Just so people understand your creds.
[00:04:27] Speaker C: Yes, I appreciate that. So I have been cruising with Disney since 1999 across the entire fleet. So my love for the cruise line goes back almost as far as the cruise line itself. I've been on board as a kid, a tween a teen, a young adult, you know, 18 to 20 and an adult. So I've really got that full range and idea of the spaces on board, which I'm excited to put to use tonight. But I'm a beach gal. Love some Caribbean, Bahamas itineraries. A Mexican Riviera. Might have my eyes on an Alaskan cruise for next year. Just flowing that out there. If you guys can convince me, I will be peer pressured.
[00:05:05] Speaker B: Well, we're going, we're going. We're going to be there.
[00:05:08] Speaker A: Why don't you just come on the one that we're going on at the end of August?
[00:05:12] Speaker C: Well, that was easy.
[00:05:13] Speaker B: So you can come have drinks with us in the Roy Disney Suite, because that's where we're going to be. So.
[00:05:17] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:05:17] Speaker B: Yeah. Come join us.
[00:05:19] Speaker C: I'm like, Karen, are you. Are you watching?
Oh, my gosh. But yes, I am so excited to build. I know I've been cruising with Disney and I love Disney Cruise Line, and with the new ships coming out and the fleet continuing to grow, it's very exciting. But there are some design decisions that I'm like, I wonder if they would whatever, let me design a Disney cruise ship and this is my chance to do that.
[00:05:43] Speaker B: This is your opportunity to fix some of those Disney design decisions, I think. Yeah. Yeah. So Sam keeps popping up CT's comment welcoming you, hey, tinfoil mouse ears out there. And I am sadly not.
This is a fake background.
[00:06:00] Speaker A: And I'm celebrating Christmas early because once Halloween season ended, Christmas season started. So I'm wearing. These are light up ears. I didn't want to light them up, though, because I, I know it would reflect like in the camera and so that's all you'd see on the screen was my light up ears. But, yeah, I'm ready for Christmas season at Disney.
[00:06:20] Speaker B: And Tracy has kindly asked CT to keep track of our ships so that Connecticut can post a poll tomorrow and there will be a vote over who has the best ship. So there we go. There we go. All right. Hey, before we dive into the show, though, just a quick piece of Disney news in case you missed it. The Treasure is on her way to Port Canaveral. She will go to Port Canaveral and then head up to New York. There's an extended cruise for Disney friends and family. I've been hearing about lots of interesting shenanigans that are going on port in terms of people releasing things they shouldn't be releasing out into the social media sphere. So I guess that's happening.
And yeah, so she's on her way and she had her first official stop. Was it. Yes, I think it was yesterday.
[00:07:00] Speaker A: Yesterday.
[00:07:00] Speaker B: Portugal.
[00:07:01] Speaker A: Yeah. Madeira in the. Which I think is in the Azores.
[00:07:05] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So there you go. That's the big news. I mean, it doesn't get bigger than that these days. Unless he's going to announce another 13 ships or something, so. So we're super excited. We will be on board the Treasure here for her maiden voyage at the end of December. We've got a lot of great guests lined up to talk about their experiences on the Treasure even before we get on, so stay tuned for that. We're hoping to have the same kind of manic coverage of the Treasures inaugural season as we did for the Wish, and people seem to like that. So more coming soon. But with that, I want to spend our time building ships, so let's get it done.
First, the first question. Here's the first question I'm going to ask before even. I know I said ship name and theme. We're going to get there. But let's talk about what class of ship are you going to build?
Are you going to build Magic Class, Dream Class, Wish class, or a new class? Let's start with Rebecca. She's our guest. She gets to go first.
[00:07:59] Speaker C: So I. This is going to be so hard for me because I love them all so dearly. I love the way the Dream Class is laid out, but I definitely think there's some perks to the other ships as well. So I'm going to DIY class. This is going to be a Rebecca class of ships.
[00:08:16] Speaker B: I like it. I like it. Sam, where are you headed?
[00:08:19] Speaker A: I am going to build a Magic Class ship for sure, because I like the smaller ship, I like the smaller number of guests, But I am going to give one caveat in that. My Magic Class ship is going to have the Midship Detective Agency on it. So that's like one that's a must. I have to borrow that from the Dream Class. But it will be a Magic class ship and it will not have uncharted adventure. It will have the Midship Detective Agency Superior.
[00:08:48] Speaker B: Nice. I am going to go with a new class. CT's trying to goat me into. Or no. Yeah, CT is trying to get me to do a. I think an Adventure class. Or no, Craig is. I'm not doing that. Not class. Too big. Way too big. All right, I'm going to go with a new class. It's going to be something in between the Magic Class and the Dream Class, Just big enough to have Two adult dining restaurants to preview that on there. I'm going to call it the Orion class. So there you go. It's going to be the Orion class of ship. It's close to my name, Brian, so I can remember it. Orion class. So there we go. All right, next question.
What will the name and theme of your ship be? Sam, you get to go first this time.
[00:09:30] Speaker A: Okay. I'm gonna. I'm gonna say that my. The other stuff on the ship isn't going to fit my theme. So I'm gonna do, like, different categories. Sorry, I'm getting a little echo here. But I. I love the name Disney Believe and then have, like, some Peter Pan Tinkerbell magic, right? We're gonna. We believe in fairies, and so obviously that's. That's where the believe comes from. So I'm thinking, like, I know we already have a ship that's got, you know, Captain Hook and TikTok on the back, so I'm not trying to copy that. I want, like.
I want, like, a Peter Pan theming and Believe as the name of the ship.
[00:10:15] Speaker B: All right, all right. I don't. I don't love where you're headed with. I'm giving it a theme and then not following through with it.
[00:10:22] Speaker A: I'm not going to follow my theme.
I have all these other ideas. I mean, I have all these other ideas. I will be honest and say, like, my favorite idea is still for a Disney Imagine, but I feel like Brian's gonna take that, so I didn't wanna steal that from him.
[00:10:38] Speaker B: I, in fact, am going to take the Disney Imagine because I've been talking to it about it forever. I need a ship in my life named the Imagine or the Imagination. Either will do. So I'm gonna take the Disney Imagine since they seem to be headed in that kind of direction in terms of the tense or the syntax of the word. So Disney Imagine.
And the theme of my ship is going to be wonderment, amazement, and imagination. So there you go. So that is mine. So, Rebecca, you're up.
[00:11:06] Speaker C: Oh, man. So, Rhett, I feel like they're all going to be hard decisions, but I love the classic Disney cruise line. I think they've leaned heavily on the classic ocean liners, and we're starting to see that kind of drift away. But I love it. I think there's such. There's a nod to the classics because that's where it all began. People like to, you know, ask the question of, is the magic still good? And you guys know how I feel about the magic. I Love her with my whole heart.
[00:11:33] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:11:33] Speaker C: So I'm definitely leaning on classic Disney. Sam. Believe was definitely on my list as well. I love the show Believe on board. It's one of my favorites. I could sing, you know, what makes a garden grow all day long.
So good.
So I would say I believe in leaning on those classic Disney characters. Do we have Mickey in the atrium? I don't know, but I love the idea of having Tinkerbell floating around the back. You know, I'm really leaning into that. The magic of Disney Cruise Line and what you need to believe to stay young forever.
[00:12:09] Speaker A: Exactly. Believing in the magic, believing in the fairies, believing in everything Disney.
[00:12:14] Speaker B: Exactly. Well, Sam, your ship is garnering lots of comments now, so I don't know if this is good or bad, but.
[00:12:22] Speaker A: Why not? Why can't I get. This is my ship. This is imaginary.
[00:12:25] Speaker B: I agree. Well, but you didn't choose your own class. You chose the magic class.
[00:12:28] Speaker A: Whatever. I still. I'm. I'm allowed to.
[00:12:30] Speaker B: And Tracy says her ship, her choice.
[00:12:32] Speaker A: That's right. My ship, my choice.
[00:12:34] Speaker B: And this is my favorite comment. Sam's Believe sounds like the Treasure with lots of adventures.
[00:12:39] Speaker A: I like that. That's fantastic.
[00:12:41] Speaker B: There you go. There you go. And Linda's asking if you'll get an inside out tower suite.
[00:12:45] Speaker A: So I love that idea. That sounds amazing. So cute.
[00:12:48] Speaker B: All right, all right. So we've got. We've got our class of ship. We've got our name, we've got our them. You know, next in Disney order. We gotta talk. What the. What is the stern character and atrium character gonna be? I think so. Why don't we start with our stern characters? I think I'm up to go first.
This one's tough because. Well, actually, I'm gonna. You know what? We're gonna start with atrium characters, because I already know what my atrium character is gonna be. It's gonna be figment. There's no doubt. It has to be figment. If it's a Disney imagination, it has to be figment. Figment will be my atrium character, Rebecca.
[00:13:20] Speaker C: Oh, man. See, leaning into the classics. I feel like I've got to do, like, Nikki or one of the original. But then I think about, you know, just believing in that youth part of that kind of in all of us. I'm like, do we go for the dynamic duo of, like, a Woody and Buzz together? And that friendship, that camaraderie right in the atrium?
So that's kind of where I'm leaning right now.
[00:13:46] Speaker A: I love that. That's awesome. That's an awesome pick. Okay. Mine is going to be.
I still fits my theme. It's, you know, you're sort of believing and dreaming about your future and what you can create. And in my atrium, characters are going to be Carl and Doug, meaning Mr. Fredrickson and Doug. So I feel like the two of them, that's like a dynamic duo. I love. Like, obviously they're doing. They've got Aladdin and Jasmine on the Treasure. I love, you know, Cinderella, and you've got the little mice behind her. You know, I feel like it doesn't have to be a single character. Right. It can be a duo on, you know, in the atrium. And to me, like, Carl and Doug sort of representing believing in your dreams and what you can accomplish and, you know, making that house in Paradise Falls.
[00:14:45] Speaker B: Nice.
[00:14:45] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh. That's so stinking cute. And I could also see that on the back of the ship, too, with a whole bunch of balloons that could work everywhere.
[00:14:52] Speaker B: Yep. Michael just said with balloons.
[00:14:55] Speaker C: I love it.
[00:14:56] Speaker B: I love it.
All right, well, now we've got the stern characters. I've lost track of who's.
[00:15:01] Speaker A: No, that was atrium characters, not stern characters.
[00:15:04] Speaker B: Yeah, I know. Now we've got to go to the stern characters. Yeah. I think we've looped all the way back to Rebecca to start. So, Rebecca, what are you going to take as your stern character?
[00:15:13] Speaker C: With belief. I feel like you've got to lean into the Peter Pan theming, but more so the kids rather than the villain side of things that we're seeing on some of the other ships. So I would say seeing all the kids, you know, the little stuffed animal. Maybe Nana the dog is hanging off, too, with all the pig. Right. Just the whole group. I'm really leaning into that youth part of traveling with Disney. What about you, Sam?
[00:15:38] Speaker A: Oh, okay. I'm putting a log on the back, and I want you to visualize what I'm coming up with here. I'm putting a log across the back of the ship, and I'm putting young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa with some of those little bugs. Of course, they have to be the little grubs and the bugs. I'm putting them across the back of my ship, and they're, of course, obviously full on singing Hakuna Matata in the middle of this. But this is about their journey, and I love. I love them as a trio. I feel like it fits with the theming, kind of, but I don't really care that much because I just love the idea of Them on the back of the ship. Brian.
[00:16:19] Speaker B: All right, so I had an idea for a certain character, but I'm actually going to steal Linda.
[00:16:23] Speaker A: Are you going to steal Linda's. I knew that's a great.
[00:16:25] Speaker B: I'll give you who my character is going to be. I actually invoked a little AI Here to help me kind of narrow this down. And it was originally going to be Ludwig von Drake, the scientist, because he's kind of quirky and fun and imaginative. But I much prefer Linda's idea of Bing bong on the back, because Bing bong. I want. I really wanted them to bring bing bong back and inside, too. I really wanted to find a way to do it. So I really want to bring Bing bong. I love it. I would have him in his little wagon with Joy in the front as they're trying to race along. So I think his broom. Yeah, I think that would be. That is a perfect stern character. So I'm. I phoned a friend and I'm taking Bing bong. So there you go. That's my stern character.
[00:17:04] Speaker C: So cute.
[00:17:06] Speaker B: All right, so we've kind of got the theming and the characters and all that sort of fun stuff. So now we got to get into kind of the nitty gritty here a little bit.
I'm trying to decide do we want to start with shows?
Do we want to start there, Sam, or do you want to. Do you want to hold off for a little bit on shows? Let's start with rotational dining restaurants. Let's start with rotational dining. Even though we usually save dining for last. Let's start with rotational dining. So let's do three rotational dining restaurants. You can pick these, by the way, from existing restaurants in the fleet because Disney does kind of, you know, recycle restaurant themes at times. So you can pick from the existing restaurants in the fleet or you can make up your own. So I believe, Sam, you are starting. Let's do well, round robin, one each in just the same order. So, Sam, what's your first rotational restaurant going to be?
[00:17:56] Speaker A: I want animators palette.
I feel like animators palette. It should have been on the wish class ships already. Of course, exists on the first four. I feel like that should have been the sort of the. I don't know, the one restaurant that should be on the whole fleet. Across the whole fleet. It's going to be on the adventure. So I think that was very smart of them. But, yeah, I love animator's palette. I think it's classic. To Rebecca's point, it's about Classic Disney cruise line. To me, that's part of it. And of course, the whole Sorcerer Mickey and animation magic where your animation comes alive. So I would say I want all of the different options. Like, because of course this is going to be like my ship is only going to go on longer sailings. So we're going to have lots of options in animators palette. But, yeah, that's where I would go. All right, Rebecca, I think you're up.
[00:18:51] Speaker C: Oh, man. We are very much on the same page. I feel like our ships are going to align nicely. I couldn't agree more. Animators palette has to happen. It's universal. You can do so much with the space. It can be interactive. It can just be kind of a passive experience too. 10 out of 10 animators has to happen.
[00:19:09] Speaker A: Yes. Love that.
[00:19:11] Speaker B: All right, I am going to do. And I'm frantically trying to see if I can get a good recommendation for an actual name because I'm going to do a new restaurant.
I am going to do. I like it. I'm going to do a restaurant called the Dreamer's Table and it's going to be themed after Journey into Imagination, since Figment is my atrium character. So it will have fun elements of kind of the Journey of Imagination from Epcot. And I have to think of an inventive menu for it. It should have some, like, fun food items on the menu. Not too fun because, you know, it's main dining. I mean, fun, but, you know, not too crazy. So I think I'm gonna do that.
[00:19:46] Speaker C: A gastro pub sort of vibes where there's like a foam on the plate.
[00:19:50] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Something playful and fun. Colorful kind of. You can imagine some of the things they've done at Epcot, like Food and Wine Festival, like, you know, some just fun things that they've done there that we've seen at Disneyland, California adventure food, wine. So, yeah, the Dreamers Table, a new restaurant available on the Orion class of ship. So I love that you gave your.
[00:20:08] Speaker A: Class a new name. I love it. I love that. Yeah.
[00:20:13] Speaker B: All right, all right. So now we're starting around next restaurant. So I think we're starting with Rebecca this time. Is that right? Or are we starting with me? We'll start with Rebecca.
[00:20:22] Speaker C: Yes. So I. Keeping with the classic theme. I feel like the.
Oh, gosh. The wish class with the frozen or with arendelle. So it's beautiful and it's wonderful and that's great. But I feel like it can be a little polarizing too. The whole big show during it and you know, some people think, oh, well, I have, you know, a little kid who doesn't like Frozen. Am I still gonna have a good time? So I really want something that's gonna be universal. And I think one of the most universal things within Disney property is Pixar.
[00:20:55] Speaker A: Right?
[00:20:56] Speaker C: Like, you can't. You can do so many different things with Pixar. So I think it might be on the adventure, like a Pixar palette, but doing something fun like that where, you know, you can lean into the different themes, you can have characters. I love the Pixar day at sea sailing. So I feel like leaning into that, the youthful part of it without it being completely in your face. And not that, not that Frozen is polarizing, but people can have opinions. So totally a DIY restaurant there.
[00:21:25] Speaker A: I love that. I love that. All right, I'll jump in next. I. It's funny that Connecticut already put this in the comments, but I was also going to say this was on my list before I saw his comment. I want a Hercules themed restaurant. It is going to have. We're going to have some, you know, some Greek food in there. It's going to lean Mediterranean a little bit, but not like completely. It's not going to go whole hog Mediterranean, but it's going to lean Mediterranean. And it's going to have the Muses as your dining host and they're going to sing and put on performances. Right. We might have like a special quick appearance from Hercules and Megara and maybe Phil, but the main stars are going to be the muses. 100%.
[00:22:13] Speaker B: Nice.
[00:22:13] Speaker C: I love that.
[00:22:15] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:22:16] Speaker B: All right. So my show, My show restaurant. My show restaurant. I'm going to move Moana from stage show to restaurant.
[00:22:24] Speaker A: Ooh, we love that.
[00:22:25] Speaker B: I think, I think she really embodies, like, use of imagination and, you know, all that sort of stuff. So I want to put Moana in a state show restaurant with a luau theme. So that's what it's going to be. Luau at sea and a Moana restaurant on the Disney imagine. So that is. That is my pick for my third restaurant or my second restaurant. I'll do my pick for my third restaurant. I think it's my turn to go first.
[00:22:45] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:22:46] Speaker B: So I'm torn for my third restaurant. I'm torn between two. One is just a nice quiet restaurant a la a royal palace, something like that. The kind of high end French food kind of experience that you get yet. But I think I'm just going to go a whole hog here. I'm going to go with an inside out restaurant.
[00:23:04] Speaker A: I love that. I was thinking of that too.
[00:23:06] Speaker B: Yeah. I think I'm going to do the inside out restaurant and make that my tech restaurant in some way. I want it to have the screens and some interactive component to it in some way. So I'm going to do inside out as a restaurant. That's my. Those are my three restaurants. So, yes, I think, Rebecca, it comes to you now, man.
I.
[00:23:24] Speaker C: It keeps coming up in my head as I think about this. I'm like, oh, I could do that. I could do that. But 1923 is just so wonderful. I love the menu, I love the ambiance in there. And I think it leans on that classic part of Disney that the rest of my ship is going to be tied into. And I just love the history that's in there. You really get the idea of what's possible if you do believe. So I'm going 1923 animators and then Pixar Palace.
[00:23:52] Speaker A: Love that, Love that. Okay, I'm going to DIY my last one and it's going to be. So I've DIY two, I guess, on the four restaurants. It's going to be Mushu's Palace. It's going to be a Chinese themed restaurant.
[00:24:07] Speaker B: That could be hard to pull off.
[00:24:09] Speaker A: I don't care. It's going to be Mushu's Palace. Mushu the dragon from Mulan. It's not going to be like Mulan's Restaurant. It's going to be Mushu's Palace. Let me be very, very clear. He's going to be the star. I'm a big fan of the sidekicks. I love, like Pascal Obvious from Tangled. Like, I just feel like the sidekicks deserve their day. And so I think Mushu should be. Yeah, he's going to be the central character and of course it's going to be Chinese food. So we're going to have like pot stickers and egg rolls as like our appetizers. We're going to actually have like a poo poo platter as an appetizer. Like comes to you, you know, to share. And then it doesn't have to be all family.
[00:24:47] Speaker B: You've got. So you've got Chinese food, Greek food and what was your first animators.
[00:24:51] Speaker A: So you've got the Greek food. We're not going. We're going to go mediterranean like style. We're not going to go like full on heavy Greek food. But for Mushu's palace, we're going to go full on Chinese food.
[00:25:04] Speaker B: So no, no pita and falafel in, in the.
[00:25:06] Speaker A: No, there will be some, but, but you could also just get like a plain steak and French fries. Right. Like, we're going to go, we're going to have, we're going to have both. But yeah, Mushu's Palace. That's what it's going to be called. And we're going to have Chinese lanterns. It's going to be Chinese New New Year, like every day.
[00:25:22] Speaker B: All right, so we've got, we've got, we got some comments here on the restaurant. So CT's loving the imagination Restaurant. Lots of people loving your Hercules restaurant. In fact, Wesley said you can. He meant end. You can end the show. Now, Sam wins with the Hercules Restaurant. I think we got a ways to go here still. I think we got a lot of, a lot of show left to do here. I love this idea from ct. Inside Out Restaurant has folks sharing descriptions of core memories to go up on the screens. I think that would just be. Except then everyone's just crying in the restaurant the whole time. But I still love it anyways.
[00:25:52] Speaker C: It's fine.
[00:25:56] Speaker B: And someone, someone's saying, I'm here entirely for Sam's ship, just for the food choices. All right.
[00:26:00] Speaker A: But she also said, yes, Mushu.
[00:26:06] Speaker B: No Luau. Come on. Luau at sea. Come on. What are my fans?
[00:26:10] Speaker A: Come on. I mean, I, I just brought them Chinese food. What do you think?
[00:26:13] Speaker C: I mean, I think we just do one ship that just has one deck, that's dining rooms and it's all nine of these.
[00:26:19] Speaker A: I love that. Yes. Food is the most important thing.
[00:26:23] Speaker B: You know, I forgot to ask at the beginning. You know, one thing we should, we should say that could really sway people is, you know, how long is your ship's itineraries and where is, where is, where is she going to be home ported? Because, you know.
So, Rebecca, what are you sailing? You sailing? Three, four night, five night, seven night.
[00:26:40] Speaker C: Seven nights. Seven nights. But it's seven nights. But we're not just doing Eastern Western. Like, I want to sprinkle in some other places in there. So I love the idea of leaving for maybe like South Florida, but doing a Disney terminal.
[00:26:55] Speaker A: Right.
[00:26:55] Speaker C: There's just something about walking through the Mickey ears. So let's get another terminal for Disney, somewhere that's easy to fly into, an international airport. And yeah, minimum seven night sailings. You've got, you've got to have a full week off to recuperate from life.
[00:27:10] Speaker A: Totally.
[00:27:11] Speaker B: Sam, where are you? Seven night.
[00:27:14] Speaker A: Mine is seven nights or longer. It's only Going to go seven nights or longer. But my ship is going to be based on the West Coast.
[00:27:20] Speaker B: Oh, you stole.
[00:27:22] Speaker A: My ship is going to go up and down the west coast, though. So you're going to be able to go all the way down to Baja, but you're also going to be able to go up all the way up to Alaska and you're going to be able to do some west coast repositioning cruises that hit a bunch of, you know, hit maybe Astoria, Oregon, San Francisco, Vancouver. Right. Like we're going to do some, some unique itineraries.
[00:27:42] Speaker B: And you can get away with that because you built a Magic class.
[00:27:45] Speaker A: I did. I built a magic class ship. I've got a, you know, now it's got, it's going to be West Coast.
[00:27:49] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. I, you know, I was going to say west coast, but instead, you know what? I'm phone in a friend again. Tracy just threw it in the comments. I love it. Mine's going to be New Orleans based. I think that'll be a lot of fun. Although I wish it was just the wonder has built in New Orleans. But fine. New Orleans based. I agree. Seven nights all day long. I nothing, nothing shorter than seven nights for me. So there you go.
[00:28:09] Speaker A: By the way, I love that CT and Jackie both are saying like they.
[00:28:16] Speaker B: Knew I if I chose West Coast, I would have put it in Long beach because. Because then you could go to Disneyland much easier with your ship.
[00:28:23] Speaker A: I'll be honest, I don't really have a strong preference between Long beach or San Diego as long as it's coming out of Southern California. I'm just going to put that out there.
[00:28:32] Speaker B: There you go. All right. Okay. Now we got to move from food, I think. Well, let's stay with food. We got adult dining now. Sam, you are limited. You can only pick one adult dining restaurant or theme. Rebecca and I get to pick potentially two because we're diy. So I think we're going to start with Rebecca and I and then we'll come to.
Right. So, Rebecca, adult dining. Do you want to have one restaurant or two restaurants? And if you want to have two, what's your first?
[00:29:00] Speaker C: You need to.
And you cannot do a Disney cruise on ship without Paula. You can't do it. I think it's written into the contract that Disney signed in 1998. Right, Paula? Already right.
[00:29:13] Speaker A: You have to have chocolate souffle. According to Tracy and ct. I know.
[00:29:18] Speaker C: Yes, it's legally required that you have to have one.
[00:29:21] Speaker B: So I agree. I 100% agree. It's got to be Paulo. But I want to go the direction of really leaning it into. I don't even think they do it enough on the older ships. I want to lean it in hard to the Italian side of a menu here. I want it to be tons of pastas, fewer steaks, real Italian meals in there. So I think that is where I would go with Palo. Make it more of the Italian side. Palo. So, Sam, what is your first restaurant or your first and only restaurant?
[00:29:53] Speaker A: So my only restaurant is going to be. It's going to be a twist on Paulo. It's not going to be exactly Paulo, because I want a Lady in the Tramp themed Italian restaurant. So I feel like spaghetti for two.
[00:30:05] Speaker B: Will be on the right.
[00:30:05] Speaker A: Exactly, exactly. And we'll have, like, red and white checkered tablecloth. So we're. It's still going to be upscale Italian, but we're going to lean into some theming and basically give Paulo just a little makeover with lady and the Tramp them.
[00:30:21] Speaker B: Nice. All right, Rebecca and I get one more restaurant each.
This is tough for me. Like, I really want to do something completely different.
I love Remy. I love Enchante, but I kind of want to do something with, like, a jazz theme where there's, like, live music in the adult restaurant. I just think that that could be really, really fun. So almost like a soul themed, you know, restaurant. But I don't. I don't want it to be like the thing that the bar that they have on the magic. I want to really, I don't know, lean into it in some way, make it like a, you know, like a New York style kind of, you know, like the old world New York style, like theater kind of restaurants. You know what I'm talking about, Sam?
[00:30:58] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:30:58] Speaker B: Like a cabaret. Yeah, yeah. But jazz. Jazz music, jazz musicians on board. I think it'd be really fun to have dinner and music, not dinner in a show. So that's where I'm going to head. Still have to work on the menu, but that's where I'm heading. Rebecca, what's your second?
[00:31:12] Speaker C: Do you have the entire menu built out for this? Come on, Ryan.
[00:31:16] Speaker A: What are we doing here?
[00:31:18] Speaker B: Let me ask ChatGPT. What would be.
[00:31:22] Speaker A: I'm curious if Rebecca's gonna choose, like, Remy or Enchante or if you're gonna choose something completely new.
[00:31:29] Speaker C: Yeah. So I will say I did Remy brunch for the first time, which was incredible. Done dinner. Incredible. And loved it. And there was music in there. They had a violinist walking up and down throughout, which was super cool. I love the food. I think it was outside of our comfort zone and it was incredible. But I kind of like the idea of doing an elevated experience. Part of me loves the rose and that theming lady of the Beauty and the Beast on board. But I also think like an elevated seafood experience. Right? Like you're out in the middle of the ocean, you get the best. I mean, they're not catching it on the ship that day, but leaning into kind of a surf and turf, but classy as can be. Maybe it's like Finding Nemo Elevated or Little Mermaid Elevated. Something in there that still touches on the classic Disney but just takes it to a new level.
[00:32:23] Speaker A: I love the seafood. I love the seafood idea. I'm gonna bring a couple. Couple comments. Ed is saying Tony's Town Square, the new Palo. And that's. That's what I'm thinking. But I want to be careful, clear that the Tonystown Square restaurant that exists in Magic Kingdom is very casual. So I'm thinking it's like we've got to blend like some of that theming with Paulo. So just. That's what I want.
[00:32:44] Speaker B: And mine is the. Why am I free? It's not Giovanni's. The place we go all the time on the boardwalk. Why am I blank?
Mine's more of a tutorial for no at sea. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And then I love. I. Tracy nailed my menu for me. She's right. It should just be New Orleans style food. Shrimp and grits, barbecue shrimp gumbo. Yep. There you go. There you go.
[00:33:06] Speaker C: It's just a bucket of beignets for your way out the door.
[00:33:08] Speaker A: That's right. Oh, I love this. So this is actually Karen saying, from my path unwinding travel, I'd love a family friendly specialty restaurant as a third option. I think that's a great idea. They are going to have that on the adventure, but obviously the adventure is going to be over in Singapore, so. But they'll have their. I guess it's their sushi and teppanyaki that will be their elevated, you know, specialty restaurant that will also allow children.
[00:33:37] Speaker B: So while we're on the topic of food, let me ask this. Anyone opting out of Mickey's Festival of Friends for your food? Festival of foods for your deck food. Anyone? Anyone? You're opting out? Oh, Rebecca. All right, well, I'm. I think Sam and I are both taking Mickey. So what. What are you. What are you gonna bring on board for your. For your quick serve?
[00:33:58] Speaker C: So you've gotta have the Basics. But I think each ship does, you know, different things really well. I love the idea of having, you know, the burgers, fries, you've got the pizza, all that. The Euro station on the Magic. And they might have it on the Wonder now too. That, that is so amazing. I love that. It's one of our favorite things on board fast service wise. But I also love the idea of doing more. Yes. You can have a healthy food station with the fruits and the salads and all that too. Yeah, yeah. But having like a bar food station, like wings. Yes, yes.
[00:34:30] Speaker A: Having something like what you find in the, like what they put out kind of in the sliders.
[00:34:36] Speaker C: Yes. Jalapeno poppers. Having something a little bit more adult, if you will. That's an option on deck. So you've got the kids version, but you also have the spicy version for the big kids. So that, that's where I might. But I will say the sweet potato fries on the wish.
Just one, one spot. Just for those.
[00:34:55] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:34:56] Speaker C: So good.
[00:34:57] Speaker A: I, I'm, I'm. I have to stick with the festival of foods from the Wish, even though of course I'm picking a Magic class ship. But I'm gonna. Even though I like the gyros on the Magic, I still feel like Donald's Cantina and Mickey's Smokestack barbecue are both better options than the, you know, gyro and the Daisies Delights right next door. So to me, like I would go for the deck food of the Wish but put it obviously poured it over to Magic class ship and Brian, you're, you're doing the same. You're keeping the smokestack and the.
[00:35:29] Speaker B: I am. But I'm going to throw you both a curveball here because I'm going to rip out all of that high end shopping comes in the main level and I'm gonna put in a conveyor belt restaurant. Notice I didn't say can. Just conveyor belt sushi. It will have that. But pre dinner. I've seen this concept in London. I'm gonna do conveyor belt cheese. So you can sit and have wine and drinks and just grab the conveyor belt and please enjoy it.
[00:35:55] Speaker C: For all things holy, please let someone from Disney be watching right now. Seriously, that has to happen. Oh my gosh. And also hibachi. Like why didn't we think of hibachi?
[00:36:09] Speaker A: Yeah, we didn't think of hibachi. That's a great, that's a great one. Yeah. We've got yes to french fries and I can't. Is that Tacos? I don't know.
[00:36:19] Speaker C: No, it's a Yale.
[00:36:20] Speaker B: Yeah. Chicken wing.
[00:36:22] Speaker A: It might be a chicken wing. I couldn't tell. The emoji. We've got. We missed the new cocoa, but with guacamole made at the table. Yes, of course.
[00:36:30] Speaker B: I love this one. One. The robot bartender, which they have on Royal Caribbean, but instead it would be Wally. I love that. I love that.
[00:36:36] Speaker C: That is so cute.
[00:36:38] Speaker B: That'd be fun.
[00:36:38] Speaker A: And Beth is loving your conveyor belt. I'm loving the. Just as Karen said. Oh, my God. Cheese. That's.
[00:36:46] Speaker B: Look, I have swayed the crowd.
We will end the live stream here. Thank you all for watching. It's been wonderful.
[00:36:55] Speaker A: Come on, Wesleyan.
I have Mushu's palace. Okay?
[00:37:00] Speaker B: And even. Even misses Tinfoil Mouse Ears wants a cheese conveyor belt.
[00:37:05] Speaker C: You can have it.
[00:37:06] Speaker B: I'm saying it now because I know some corporations have this, like, we can't take your idea free in perpetuity license. It's. You've heard it here. You can have it. I don't want anything for it. Just make it happen. All right, so there you go.
[00:37:18] Speaker A: I mean, everyone loves cheese, so it's.
[00:37:20] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh. Could you imagine just instead of, like the specialty dessert shop, it's just a cheese shop. I mean, you could get. You could eat so much cheese. Yeah, man.
[00:37:31] Speaker A: Oh, my gosh. Can I get fried cheese curds, too? Can we add that on the menu?
[00:37:36] Speaker B: Should we convert the soft serve ice cream stations to a nacho bar with, like, just a handle pump cheese?
[00:37:42] Speaker C: I think we just changed the ship completely.
[00:37:45] Speaker B: We'll have Remy off the back holding a big wedge of cheese, and we'll have. Yeah, There we go. Yeah. All right.
[00:37:50] Speaker C: I think we call it the Disney cheese.
[00:37:52] Speaker A: The big cheese. That's great.
[00:37:55] Speaker B: Oh, I love it. I love it. All right.
[00:37:57] Speaker A: Eating charcuterie, by the way. That's right. Exactly, Tracy. Love it.
[00:38:01] Speaker B: All right. I think the time has come, Sam, for us to at least. Well, actually, you know what? No, I gotta. I gotta pause because shows is gonna be a big one. Let's. Let's do pool deck for one second. I want to know how you're gonna design your adult pool area. And I want to know what your water slide is gonna be. And, Sam, you're. You're limited again. Cause those magic class ships don't have a ton of room for a water slide. So you know why? You had some advantages. You're starting to lose them a little bit, I'm gonna say. Say, Rebecca, let's start with you. What's your adult pool area going to look like? And what's your water slide going to be okay for?
[00:38:35] Speaker A: I just think. Wait, first I need to bring up this comment. Cheese. Thank you. Adon cheese. The great unifier.
[00:38:40] Speaker B: Oh, and fondue. We didn't even think about fondue.
[00:38:43] Speaker A: Yes, fondue is never a fondant.
[00:38:45] Speaker B: It is not a fondant.
[00:38:47] Speaker A: That's right. It's never a fondant.
[00:38:50] Speaker C: Let me tell you, this is the best conversation I've ever had about Disney cruises. I mean, cheese really is what brings us all together after all.
Oh, man.
[00:38:59] Speaker B: Sorry for our lactose intolerance listeners.
[00:39:02] Speaker C: All right, we can have dairy free cheese.
[00:39:05] Speaker A: Exactly.
[00:39:06] Speaker C: Yes, yes. We're all inclusive here. But I love, love, love the adult pool section. That's on the fantasy. I know. So that got taken away with the dream recently and I have some opinions on that for friends and concierge, but it's fine. It's fine.
I love that setup. I love that it's multiple decks. I love that it gets you away from the, you know, the kind of craziness of the main pool deck area. But my big gripe is that I wish all the adult spaces were all together on one part of the ship. So I would have it be kind of the adult section because there's plenty of Disney cruisers who don't necessarily want to cruise with kids. So not having to walk through everything to get to the spa, the salon, the adult only restaurants and all that good stuff. I know the, the views might be impacted a little bit. But let's be real, you're in there for the spaces most of the time. So I would say leaning into the pool structure in general of the dream class. However, I do like some of the smaller water features that are on the wish. Slide wise give me be a drop slide all day personally. But I think to appeal to the masses, having the over the water or over the edge of the ship water coaster theme, I think it's fun. But since this is a diy, I'm gonna have both of them and the water coaster is gonna be turned up a notch because I think we need a little more coast in our coaster, if you know what I mean.
Love it.
[00:40:40] Speaker B: I agree. I agree. Sam, adult pool space. And what are you doing about your, your, your water slide attraction?
[00:40:46] Speaker A: Yes. Okay. So I am going to keep the, the magic class as it is. The adult pool space I think is Chef's Kiss. It is perfect as it is. It does not need any updating. What I am going to change is instead of having an Aqua Dunk and like a small yellow Mickey slide. Because I'm going to take both of those off and I'm going to put in in an Aqua Duck. We're going to have just like you have on. Yes. There is nothing wrong with this. You can fit it. It absolutely can fit. If we're taking off the yellow water slide, I'm skeptical.
[00:41:19] Speaker B: I think we need CT to do some quick research here.
[00:41:21] Speaker A: I am skeptical and the Aqua Dunk because I think that that is the water slide that appeals to most people. I personally, the Aqua Dunk is just too intense for me. I end up with like water sprayed up my nose. It's not fun. But the little yellow Mickey slide is not good for adults. So I feel like we need that in between. And that's the Aqua Duck, the perfect water slide.
[00:41:45] Speaker B: There you go. There you go.

All right, I, I, I so I got to bring up this comment. Wesley's threatening to leave the show unless we some greenery on board which, which sparks in my mind. I want. I'm going to ask a question in a different question in a second. So I, I'm going to stay on topic. Adult pool area. I agree the magic class is a great adult pool area. On the Orion class we can actually make that bigger. So we're going to do that slightly bigger to accommodate just a few more adults in the adult pool area for the slide. I guess, you know, I'm going to take advantage of the fact that I framed the question and say, how about just the roller coaster from the adventure instead of a water slide? Because I agree with Rebecca. I think the slide needs a little more coaster. So I'm just going to go all the way to code coaster, and maybe it can have like some water spray features to it or something like that to sort of cool people down. But that's. I want the roller coaster attraction off of the top of the adventure. That's what I want. So there you go.
[00:43:39] Speaker C: I am adding to my submission here. I also, since we're dreaming big, I would like some sort of lazy river around the ship.
[00:43:48] Speaker A: Ooh, I love that.
[00:43:48] Speaker C: You could just coast in that, right? Fantastic. And also there's ships that have bumper cars that go along the top deck. So I'm like, could the lazy river turn into a go kart course when it's closed down? So multipurpose. We're just love that all of the on deck.
[00:44:07] Speaker A: We're dreaming big. I love this. I just need to tell CT that no, I. It doesn't have to go through jumbo ization. It's the aqua duck is going to fit on my ship because I'm removing two other things.
[00:44:19] Speaker B: Pixie dust. Pixie dust. Pixie dust.
[00:44:22] Speaker A: Okay. Just believe that's all you need to do.
[00:44:26] Speaker B: All right. So the question I was going to ask in response to Wesley's comment because it just sparked my mind. The adventure is the first ship that has kind of a Central park like feature to it. Are you going to try and build, I mean, on the magic class? I don't think you could really do it. It'd be to take up too much space. But, you know, I don't know, Rebecca and I might be able to squeeze kind of a Central park feature or, you know, put more garden into our atrium a little bit. I wonder, like, I mean, for the Disney imagine, perhaps I could do a little Alice in Wonderland theming around the.
Around the the atrium. So get some greenery in there. Yeah, yeah. What do you think, Rebecca? You gonna try and do like a Central park feature on your ship?
[00:45:04] Speaker C: So I have no experience on other.
[00:45:08] Speaker B: We've all won now. All of us are winners.
[00:45:10] Speaker A: Wesley is a flip flopper. I'm just gonna put that out there. Wesley. I don't want to even think about what your ballot for tomorrow. For those at home, it's election day tomorrow.
[00:45:19] Speaker B: For those listening later, Wesley has now said lazy river. Rebecca Wins roll crack.
[00:45:25] Speaker C: I appreciate the love spread all around. Right. Because these are all great ships. It's like Disney should really just make these all into one ship. I think so. I've never sailed on another cruise line, so I don't know what this Central Park. I've seen pictures and videos, but to me, I'm like, does it feel like the imagination.
[00:45:45] Speaker B: Like the imagination garden on the adventure?
[00:45:47] Speaker C: Yeah. I just don't know how I feel about it. Yeah, I feel like. Like that. I don't know. Not on my ship. Not on my ship. We'll have plenty of other outdoor related things, but I'm like, do I want a carousel in the middle of the. I don't know. I don't know.
[00:46:04] Speaker B: Is. Is anyone not putting a continuous running track on their ship?
[00:46:08] Speaker C: No, you've gotta.
[00:46:10] Speaker A: No, no.
[00:46:10] Speaker B: All right.
[00:46:11] Speaker A: My promenade deck has to be continuous, so.
[00:46:14] Speaker B: Great. I was thinking maybe you could put your lazy river on the promenade deck.
[00:46:17] Speaker A: Oh, maybe. I mean, you're gonna have to have a wider promenade promenade deck.
[00:46:21] Speaker B: But yeah, CT is pointing out a good point. The lazy R would be pretty heavy.
[00:46:25] Speaker C: Dad, listen, logistics and gravity mean nothing to us, right?
[00:46:30] Speaker A: And Michael says, who needs passengers on this ship? We can dream big.
[00:46:34] Speaker B: We never committed to these things being structurally sound or seaworthy.
[00:46:38] Speaker A: So, I mean, Tracy's asking for flooring that doesn't burn our feet on the pool deck. And that's obviously what happened.
[00:46:44] Speaker B: It's called grass. Grass would work. Grass would do it, not turf.
[00:46:47] Speaker C: Could you imagine the insurance policies on these ships? Oh, my God. Gosh.
[00:46:53] Speaker B: All right, now we got to do shows. I think we got to do shows. And we'll round out with bars because I'd love to hear your thoughts on some bar space. So let's do shows. All right, so you're going to get one, like. Well, since we're all doing seven nights, you can get two Disney sort of signature shows, and those can be existing shows or new shows.
I'm going to start. I'm going to start. So for imagination, I'm going to put. Pick Hercules. I want a Hercules stage show on my ship. I just. I feel like that fits the theme. So I'm going to go with Hercules. Not her. Sorry, not Hercules. What am I saying? Hunchback. Hunchback of Notre Dame. I want a Hunchback of Notre Dame stage show.
[00:47:30] Speaker A: I don't know why you've stolen. I have had this idea for a Hunchback show for forever. You're stealing one of mine.
[00:47:37] Speaker B: All right, well, I can seed it to You. You can have it if you want it. Do you really want it? Because I can come up with another one.
[00:47:43] Speaker A: No, keep going. Go ahead.
[00:47:44] Speaker B: Okay. All right, so I'm going to do Hunchback of Notre Dame, although I do love the idea that someone just put into chat of Mary Poppins the musical. Although that's not gonna be my stage show, but yes, Hunchback of Notre Dame. Rebecca, what's your stage show gonna be?
[00:47:58] Speaker C: This is so hard.
[00:47:59] Speaker A: This is really hard.
[00:48:00] Speaker C: You know, I'm a sucker for the classic. So, like, Disney dreams. I mean, believe. Right? But I feel like that's too on the nose. But there's just something about Ann Marie and Peter Pan. It just still hits me right in the feel. So I think that that's gonna be my cornerstone.
[00:48:19] Speaker A: Love that. That's a good one. Well, I'm going with one that's coming to Disney Cruise Line that very, very soon. I'm going with Moana because I love Moana. I think the music is amazing. I think it's gonna make a fantastic stage show. I hope it rivals Beauty and the Beast. That's all I'm saying.
[00:48:42] Speaker B: All right, all right, all right. So back to me for my second stage show. For this one, I'm gonna do a little diy. Why? And I'm probably going to offend some people out there just because I'm going to do kind of like the musical review style of show that people seem to not like for some reason, but I think Disney can pull it off with some of these.
[00:48:57] Speaker A: I don't know. Rebecca loves it.
[00:48:59] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:48:59] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:49:00] Speaker B: Usually. Yeah. But. So I'm going to do. I. I again enlisted a little help of AI Here. Help me name the show, but we're going to call it, I think, through the Looking Glass.
It's going to be a show that brings in elements. I'm going to add in Mary Poppins now, but elements of Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and Mary Poppins. So you can imagine all those moments where they went through the sidewalk or they have to fly off to Neverland, or Alice has to go through the looking glass. You have these musical montages of these love Disney favorites and maybe some of your other favorite Disney friends. So there you go. That's gonna be mine. It's gonna be called through the Looking Glass.
[00:49:36] Speaker A: I love that.
[00:49:37] Speaker B: That's so funny, Rebecca.
[00:49:38] Speaker C: That's so good.
I am just thinking about my favorite Disney stage show from across the fleet, and Hercules the Musical, hands down, one of the best shows that they've ever put on. So I feel like I like the original productions and that had so much original to it. And you, Hades, who was just hilarious. I'm hoping some of that comes back with the Destiny. Right, that's where we're seeing that. So I'm leaning into Hercules the Musical, but the old one. Because TBD aren't what the new one is.
[00:50:14] Speaker A: Love it. Okay, I'm having trouble choosing between two, but I'm going to go with something that's not ever been on the fleet? I guess neither of these things have ever been on the fleet. But we're only choosing two. Is that right, Brian? Or are we choosing three?
[00:50:31] Speaker B: Just two. Just.
[00:50:32] Speaker C: Oh, no. Oh, no.
[00:50:34] Speaker A: Yeah, because I was so. I really love the Lion King, the musical, like, and so that was the one I was like leaning towards. But I'm gonna pick a shorter show instead because I like how there have been in the past not just seize the Adventure, but other shorter shows. But I'm gonna pick Rogers the musical because Rogers the Musical is so fantastic for anyone who got to see it at Disneyland. You are lucky we got to see it at Disneyland. It was amazing.
I. It's hilarious in that, you know, you have the song that's in the. What was the TV show? The.
What's the name of that TV show, Brian? It was. Oh my God, I'm blanking now.
[00:51:18] Speaker B: The song from a TV show.
[00:51:20] Speaker A: Yeah, it was the Avengers Assemble song.
No, forget it. I can't even. Linda's gonna help me. I know she's gonna help me. It was in the show about.
Not Arrow, what's his name? Hawkeye. The Hawkeye Show. It was in that show. Yes, Hawkeye. Thank you. Thank you. Linda and Jackie are both responding. So that. That's where it came from. Rogers the Musical. That's where the.
[00:51:45] Speaker B: Yeah, that's what I was meaning this. The big finale number where they're like dancing on the freeway and Hulk is smashing.
[00:51:52] Speaker A: Exactly, exactly. But it's a fantastic show. So Rogers musical has to be on my ship because I'm obsessed with Captain America. Steve Rogers in particular. But I also love Sam Wilson. But yeah, that's my second show. If I can only choose one.
[00:52:07] Speaker B: Nice, nice.
[00:52:09] Speaker C: I do have to say my shit hands down.
Will have to have some sort of intro show. I feel like the fleet is missing that these days. And there are so many first time cruisers who come on board and they just don't know what they don't know. So I feel like having some sort of show that introduces them to the variety acts and the spaces on Board and kind of talks them through those different scenarios like, that's gotta happen. And it can be hosted by a Mike Wazowski. Right. Or somebody who adds that. Or the cruise director. Hey, be anybody but that. My. My ship has got to have some way to make people understand because you don't know, really, until you get on board the ship. I don't care how much planning.
[00:52:49] Speaker A: They used to do. Like a welcome aboard show on the Fantasy and the Dream. On the whole.
[00:52:56] Speaker C: The whole.
[00:52:57] Speaker A: I rem.
I think I've only seen it on the Fantasy. And I love how.
[00:53:01] Speaker B: I love how Sam scrolled through all of the comments that were positive to Rogers the Musical and just skip skipped right over. You know, I like the Looking Glass idea, Brian. Or west saying, not kidding, that's an excellent idea for a show, although not enough for an instant win. So there you go. But I appreciate it.
[00:53:16] Speaker A: Yeah, I like CT's idea, though, of Villains tonight, too.
[00:53:19] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean, you can never go wrong with Villains.
[00:53:22] Speaker B: Look, a fan favorite ship theme here would have been just an entire ship about Villains. Let's just put it out there. Like, then. What an amazing ship to have gone on if you were going to do a Halloween on the high seas. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:53:34] Speaker A: Oh, my God, I love Linda. Okay, I got to bring up this idea from Linda. She's going to make a Disney magic class cruise ship called the Disney Nostalgia with Mickey and the magical map, Aladdin and an amazement. I love that. Yes.
[00:53:45] Speaker B: Nice.
[00:53:45] Speaker A: Love it.
[00:53:46] Speaker B: Love it. All right, we've done it all. Except for. I think bar space is on board. I think this is going to be kind of a fun little topic. Like, let's each pick maybe three bars that we want to put on board our ship.
[00:53:59] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:54:00] Speaker B: And so, Rebecca, why don't you go first? What's. What's a bar space that you would love to see on board your ship?
[00:54:06] Speaker C: So I love the Europa feel vibe. You kind of get lost in that area. So I'm taking a page from that.
There's got to be a martini bar on board.
[00:54:18] Speaker A: Right?
[00:54:18] Speaker C: And I think keys on the Magic does that so incredibly well. So leaning on the, you know, the classic piano bar vibes from Keys, that's gonna be my first pick there.
[00:54:28] Speaker A: Ooh, I like that one.
I'm having a hard time picking, but I guess. Okay, I love Meridian, but I'm on a Magic class ship, so I'm gonna give, like an old world Meridian theming, like a nautical theming to keys, actually, to, like Keys Cadillac lounge type space. Right. Because I'll be honest, I don't love keys theming or Cadillac lounges theming. I just feel like neither of them is really Disney theming, nor are they nautical theming. But I feel like Meridian has that classic ocean liner, as you pointed out, Rebecca, the sort of classic ocean liner feel that the classic ships have. And so, yeah, I'm going to port Meridian over to do the magic class. Brian.
[00:55:21] Speaker B: Nice, huh? What am I gonna do?
[00:55:25] Speaker A: These are hard. These are hard.
[00:55:26] Speaker B: These are hard. Coming up. So I'm gonna. I'm gonna start with. There are. There are bars I like in the existing fleet that I'm gonna draw on to start. So I think the first bar that I really want to port over is why am I blanking the tech bar on the dream? Why am I forgetting it?
[00:55:43] Speaker C: Skyline.
[00:55:44] Speaker B: Skyline. Thank you. It's been so long since we've been there. Skyline. So I really want to bring Skyline in because I just love the atmosphere of that bar. I love the original concept for that bar and I love the drinks in that bar. So Skyline is definitely coming onto my ship. So there we go. That's bar number one for me. I will have one original bar, but I'm going to pick two bars that are not original to start. So there you go, Rebecca.
[00:56:05] Speaker C: Skyline is a great pick. That menu is so good. I could go for one of those cocktails right now. I feel like the tube is just the best space. It's a good size dance floor. I like the way everything's curved around. It's kind of, you know, I don't love some of the seating because if you want to get somebody in the middle, you're climbing through. So maybe some different seating arrangements. But the overall theming of the tube, the ceiling in there is just so cool and how it plays off of each other. So I'm leaning on the tube sort of layout with the big clock theme to tie into the Peter Pan on the ship, so.
[00:56:42] Speaker A: Oh, I like that. Yeah, it's great. Yeah.
[00:56:44] Speaker C: Yes. And maybe some Mary Poppins. It seems like Mary is a popular gal, so maybe it's some sort of umbrella, something. I don't know. I don't know.
[00:56:53] Speaker A: I love that. That's a really good one. I like the. Also, if you see on the wish, they've got like the kind of clock theming in Apollo. I feel like you could use some of those kinds of, like, embellishments. Could be in your bar. I love that. Okay, well, I'm going to go with the snuggly duck and it needs to be like full on themes. Snuggly Duckling, like, and it could be. I'm thinking it's going to be where, like where the French Quarter Lounge and Soul Cat are right now. That's going to be its location. So it's going to be like a kind of a walkthrough space. Adults and kids. Because I feel like that theming really should be open to adults and kids. You might have a thug walk through every once in a while and start singing I have a Dream. There might be a piano that somebody might play as well. Yeah, I love the Snuggly Duckling. I think it'd be hilarious.
Fun, casual bar space, family friendly as well.
[00:57:49] Speaker B: Nice.
All right. Actually, I'm going to change it up because I saw a comment not about a bar, but about a character that I love. And so I want to find a way to incorporate it into the ship, which is. I want to find a way to do a Baymax bar on board.
I really think that, like a big hero 6 Baymax, kind of San Fransoki.
[00:58:09] Speaker A: It could be a cat cafe.
[00:58:11] Speaker B: Could be a ca. Oh, it could be. It could be Aunt Cass's cafe. Yeah, that could be kind of fun as a bar theme, but with Baymax there. Yeah, I like that. I like that.
[00:58:18] Speaker A: Yeah, that's what they're doing on the adventure.
[00:58:19] Speaker B: Thank you for the assist. You're welcome.
[00:58:21] Speaker A: They're doing one on the adventure, so it's gonna happen.
[00:58:23] Speaker B: I'm so far behind on the adventure, I had no idea what's on the adventure.
There you go. All right, so I'm gonna do that one. So, yeah, that'll be my. My second bar. And then I have an idea for my third bar, but I'm gonna turn it over to Rebecca for her second.
[00:58:38] Speaker C: This is so.
[00:58:39] Speaker A: For her third. Yeah.
[00:58:40] Speaker B: Or for a third. Sorry. Yeah.
[00:58:41] Speaker C: No, I love the idea. Love the idea of the Snuggly Duckling because you gotta have a pub on there, right?
[00:58:46] Speaker A: You have to have a pub.
[00:58:47] Speaker C: And I will say mine will have a pub. But I feel like something if we're gonna add more water and weight to my ship, which it seems like I just keep piling on. I love the idea of doing like a frozen kind of bar. Like one of those ice bars where you have to walk in, you get the cup you've got, all the drinks are served on ice. And it's just something totally different for the cruise line. So I feel like that would be. You've got kind of an immersive Bar experience, which I don't think.
[00:59:18] Speaker B: Perhaps a frozen bar. A frozen.
[00:59:20] Speaker C: That's what I. That's what I'm. I don't know. I don't know if it would be called Arendelle. I don't know. I don't know. We're gonna have to workshop the name. AI is gonna have to come up.
[00:59:29] Speaker B: Sven's spot, you know? Cause he's the ice, isn't he the ice monger?
[00:59:32] Speaker C: Yes, yes, yes. It's just like giant ice cubes in your cocktails. So you were doing an ice bar.
[00:59:38] Speaker B: There you go. There you go. All right, Sam, third bar.
[00:59:42] Speaker A: Okay. Well, I haven't put inside out on my ship yet, so I feel like I need an inside out themed cocktail bar.
[00:59:53] Speaker B: Yeah, but isn't inside out about making memories and bars are about forgetting everything.
[00:59:57] Speaker A: About losing your memories?
[00:59:58] Speaker C: Yeah, I feel like you can make a lot of memories.
[01:00:03] Speaker A: Exactly. So. And I feel like we're gonna have some special drinks that are gonna be those, like, color ice balls. Right. And they're gonna. Those are gonna be like the core memory. Right. So I feel like we're gonna have. But yeah, and you're gonna break them open and they're gonna be, you know, like, you're gonna have smoke effects or ice effects or whatever. But yeah, I love. I love the. I like, obviously, I like to lean in on the theming a little bit. Like I said, I have a. I have Meridian. So that's kind of my. Like, I've got, you know, I gotta have. You gotta have range. You gotta have the Snuggly Duckling Pub. And this is gonna be like martini champagne, but it's going to be inside out themed.
[01:00:42] Speaker C: Oh, so cute.
[01:00:44] Speaker B: Nice. All right, my third bar idea. I want to speak easy. I want it to be called. I want it to be. You want to play on Club 34?
[01:00:52] Speaker A: You want it to be Hooks Barbary, huh?
[01:00:54] Speaker B: No, I want it to be way better than hooks Barbary because I want it to be an actual bar, not just like a cabinet in the barbershop. So I want an actual speaky. Easy. I've debated here if it should be through the looking glass, but that's my show. Right. Because I thought that would be kind of fun to have, like a mirror that somehow opened and you could walk through and you'd be in the bar. That. That'd be really fun when you have.
[01:01:12] Speaker A: Little bites that say, taste me and the drink.
[01:01:14] Speaker B: Sure. But that's not where I'm going. So you can build that on your Ship I'm gonna go, I want to play on Club 33, which is kind of like, you know, speakeasy ish in Disneyland. I'm gonna call Mine Club 98 for the year that Disney Cruise Line started sailing.
[01:01:26] Speaker A: Oh, I like that.
[01:01:26] Speaker B: Right. And it will be a, a hidden bar on the ship that you need a password to get into. And when you get in there, it'll lots of, you know, kind of like speakeasy style craft cocktails, a little music. Because I think Disney Cruise Line needs just some more music in these spaces. So a little music, just low key place to go hang out, big leather armchairs, you know, that kind of stuff. So that is my bar, the speakeasy bar. Club 98 is going to be on the, on the Disney imagine. So there you go. That's my bar. All right.
[01:01:56] Speaker A: The first of the Orion class of ships.
[01:01:58] Speaker B: The first of the Orion class.
[01:02:00] Speaker C: So question for you guys because I don't think any of us have mentioned too much of either like Star wars or Marvel. Would either of those have a place on your ships?
[01:02:10] Speaker A: Well, like I said, I have Rogers the Musical on my ship. You're gonna be able to have of course, meet and greets with your various Marvel characters and there's gonna be some Marvel stuff in the kids club.
[01:02:21] Speaker C: Jeffrey R. Beautiful.
[01:02:23] Speaker A: As far as Star Wars, I mean, I think we could have like, I do like being able to take your picture with like Chewie and maybe like R2D2 in C3PO or maybe BB8. Right. And I feel like the kids club can have some, some Star wars stuff, but I don't know that I want like a Star wars themed bar or restaurant. And I think that's really a reflection of how Hyperspace lounge is just not my favorite space. Even though I, you know, Brian and I have talked about, we love the Sub Light Lounge on the, on the Star Cruiser on the Halcyon. And so if they could port that over, I think that would be a great, great bar space to have. But I really think that I didn't really think of Star wars because I was. I just find Hyperspace Lounge to be kind of disappointing. What about, what about you, Rebecca though?
[01:03:08] Speaker B: Michael's saying Star wars needs to make an appearance in the Orion class of ships. But I have a better idea, so I'm gonna let Rebecca go first.
[01:03:15] Speaker C: So I don't know much about Star wars or Marvel, so all this Roger stuff, I'm like, sure, sure, it sounds great, but I feel like there is a place for it in the kids club. And I think that's awesome. I do wish the Hyperspace Lounge had a four bar. To me, that just doesn't make sense to maximize the amount of people who are in there. But I almost wish there was, like, a kids club space for adults because there's such limited open house hours. And it's always when other things are going on, you're out on a port adventure. So part of me is like, do we do some sort of adult club, kids club where you can have some of these.
Some of these clubs. Classy character, classic characters. So. Yes. But, Brian, what did you have in mind?
[01:04:02] Speaker B: Well, so I want to throw up this comment first. First, Tracy is completely agreeing with you. She says, same Rebecca, same Michael. I love your Guardians of the Galaxy. I think that could be really. Actually a Guardians of the Galaxy stage show. Could be really fun with the music and stuff. Yeah, that could be a really fun thing that we didn't talk about. Here's my idea. I saw this comment early on where somebody was. Tracy said that the Muppets have gotten zero love on these ships.
[01:04:23] Speaker A: I do love me Muppets.
[01:04:24] Speaker B: What about. About this Muppet day at sea for a period of time, and the stage show is the Muppets. They do a Muppet show stage show.
[01:04:34] Speaker A: Oh, my God, I love that.
[01:04:36] Speaker B: They just take over. They take over the ship for the day. The Disney crew gets to take a break, and they hand the control of the ship over to the Muppets. You got a Fozzie Bear, like, comedy routine going on. You got, you know, animal someplace in there, right?
[01:04:51] Speaker A: Playing music. Yeah, Love that.
[01:04:54] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:04:54] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh. That would be.
[01:04:56] Speaker B: Tracy says Brian wins. Good night, everybody. There you go.
[01:05:00] Speaker C: Listen, you can have a Muppet stay at sea on any ship.
[01:05:03] Speaker A: On any ship. Exactly. I'm with you, Rebecca. It can be on all of our ships.
[01:05:07] Speaker C: Oh, I love that. Oh, my gosh.
[01:05:09] Speaker B: That's so cute. I think that'd be fun as I think about it. So, yeah. So there you go. All right. So we've built three ships Connecticut has hopefully kept track of on all these ships, because I have not. And. And I guess we'll put a poll up maybe in our Facebook group or on the platform formerly known as Twitter phenomena. We'll see what people think. What should people want to sail on? So with that, Rebecca, I do just heartfelt thanks to you for coming on our show. We know how busy you are, and we love having you on. It's always fun to chat with you. So appreciate you taking some time to come on our show.
[01:05:44] Speaker C: Thank you guys. This is so much fun. This is the best part of any Monday ever.
[01:05:51] Speaker B: And then I just want to give everyone we had planned not to do a show next week, but thanks to our friend over at Tinfoil Masters, we will be back next week a regular time, 5:30pm Pacific Standard Time. Now see, the hour of sleep is really so 5:30pm Pacific Standard Time, 8:30pm Eastern Standard Time. Since those clocks have rolled back, we will have CT on and we're going to be talking about his article that he wrote recently on our blog on our substack, which you can find
[email protected] and he wrote an article on future home ports for Disney Cruise Line as the fleet expands, where we're talking through some of his ideas around home ports and maybe even throwing in a few of our own. So we will be back next week. But for now, thank you everyone out there for watching. Thank you everyone out there who's listening afterwards.
[01:06:42] Speaker A: And and don't forget to follow Disney Cruise Line Community on all the social and join the Facebook group if you're not already a part of it.
[01:06:50] Speaker B: Yeah, where can give people where they can find you. Specifically Rebecca.
[01:06:53] Speaker C: Yes. Well clearly on the Alaska cruise with you guys next year.
[01:06:57] Speaker B: So come on, come on. Yeah, yeah, we'll do drinks every night in the Roy Suite. Yeah, come on.
[01:07:02] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. And we can just practice for the Muppet Show. It's gonna be great.
But yes, on Instagram, at Disney Cruise Line Community, on Facebook, @DCL community. And then if you search for the Disney Cruise Line Facebook group, It's got about 300,000 people in it, so you should be able to find it. But yeah, that is where a whole bunch of Disney cruisers from all around the world are coming together to answer questions, get excited and prepare for Disney Cruises. So would love to have you be a part of that magic. And yeah, thank you guys so much for having me. This was a blast and a half.
[01:07:33] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:07:33] Speaker A: And so much for joining.
[01:07:34] Speaker B: I just got it. I got to do it. The Last comment is O'Brien is back in the lead for sure with the Muppets. So there you go. Have a great night, everybody. See you later.
