[00:00:00] Speaker A: And I think when we're, when we're hearing these announcements like, this is coming, this is coming, this is coming, you're just kind of processing it, maybe being a little, like, critical, whether that's positive or negative, but you're just processing the logic of it, right? But that concert and the Arendelle experience we had the next night gave me all the emotion.

[00:01:28] Speaker A: Thank you, Sea Legs.
[00:01:30] Speaker C: Yeah, honestly, we do.
[00:01:32] Speaker A: But it's.
[00:01:33] Speaker C: It's always great to be here. Brian, Sam, it's always a treat talking cruise with you too. And we're really excited to be here and catch you up on all of our adventures.
[00:01:41] Speaker B: Yes, we are super excited.
[00:01:43] Speaker D: So excited. And we're so thankful, by the way, that you guys were willing to come on on a Sunday night. We wanted to make sure to have you on as soon as possible after, of course, getting off the ship. I know you got off on Friday and then headed back to Toronto. And so you've only been home for literally like a day and a half. So we really appreciate that. We know bookings open tomorrow.
[00:02:07] Speaker A: That is true. And this is kind of an exclusive for you guys because we already recorded our podcast, but it doesn't come out.
[00:02:13] Speaker C: It comes out on Tuesdays.
[00:02:15] Speaker A: So we're gonna scoop them.
[00:02:17] Speaker B: We're gonna scoop them.
[00:02:18] Speaker D: We're gonna scoop the Parks and Pages podcast today, everyone.
[00:02:22] Speaker B: That's a good point, though. Let me just. If you guys didn't know, the wdw, DCL and DLR magazine has their own podcast called Parks and Pages.
It covers a lot More than we deign to cover on this show.
So you can still come to us for cruise line news. They've got some cruise line episodes, but they've got such a wide range of stuff that they're talking about. So I highly encourage you to go check out Parks and Pages.
[00:02:49] Speaker D: Yeah, thanks, Brian.
[00:02:51] Speaker C: We've got new episodes every Tuesday.
[00:02:54] Speaker E: Nice.
[00:02:54] Speaker D: Yeah. And great personalities on the show as well. Danny and CJ are like the main hosts. I'll call them like the Brian and Sam.
But Stephanie's on a lot and Tatiana's on as well. And Tim comes on. And I know that our friend Carly Caramen was on just the other day and has been on before, so lots of, like, hosts and guest hosts, and it's really fun, really fun to listen to.
You've been doing some great budget episodes too, and even a DVC episode the other day. So, yeah, great stuff coming in.
[00:03:28] Speaker C: Thank you. Podcast is a lot of fun. We like to focus mostly on the parks experience.
We go deeper into some of our magazine articles. Food's been a really popular topic for us. We love to do a lot of bucket list bites and budget bites and we have fun. You guys should come and check us out if you want some more Disney podcasts.
[00:03:47] Speaker A: We'll do a Bucket List Bites Disney Cruise edition.
[00:03:49] Speaker C: Oh, that would be fun. Yeah. We gotta you to find. Maybe that's a good topic for Brian and Sam to come on Parks and Pages and talk about.
[00:03:57] Speaker D: I think you need a Disney Cruise Line food expert for I think so. A Cruise Line Bites episode. I love that. I love that.
[00:04:07] Speaker B: So me. You can just say you can stay off air then, because.
[00:04:10] Speaker E: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:04:11] Speaker B: Because your food choices are sometimes questionable.
[00:04:14] Speaker D: Hey, hey.
[00:04:15] Speaker A: We need a wide variety of taste buds on our show.
[00:04:20] Speaker C: We don't yuck anyone's yum. We're excited. If there's something that you're excited about that I'm happy, you know, but yeah, we'll definitely. We'll find a time to make that happen.
[00:04:31] Speaker B: Awesome.
[00:04:31] Speaker D: Love it.
[00:04:32] Speaker E: Love it.
[00:04:32] Speaker B: We brought you on this evening because you guys were onboard the Wish for the Believe reveal. And I just want to set this up for our audience out there because we already did a show on the Believe reveal itself. We had some thoughts, but we also recognized the limits.
[00:04:46] Speaker A: Spicy ones?
[00:04:47] Speaker B: Yeah, a little spicy.
But we recognize, like, we weren't there. And Disney does an excellent job in these moments with folks on board to kind of bring that excitement level up. And we also know that you guys got to see and learn some things on board that weren't in a press release or the 30 minute reveal video. And so we want to fill the gaps in and see if we can kind of raise our own excitement here in the community about this ship.
Full disclosure.
[00:05:15] Speaker A: I hope we can because we're very excited about it.
[00:05:19] Speaker B: I should say one more thing for our audience, which is full disclosure. We will be booking the maiden voyage tomorrow along with the second sailing and the third sailing. So we will be back to, back to back if everything goes well tomorrow for the belief, you know, so we do want to try her out, we do want to see what she's like. It's almost a job hazard for us, but we want to, we want to get on there, we want to see it.
And I know ultimately it will be a great ship.
You know, I think there's some questions out the community around, especially from experienced cruisers who are a little concerned about the amount of repeat. We'll talk about that a little bit. But I have no doubt Disney will deliver a fabulous experience as they usually do. But let's. So last thing I'll say is we did put together another fun graphical representation of what we're going to talk about tonight to kind of help guide the discussion. And we will wander across these different venues and such. But for everyone out there, just to set things up. Maiden voyage of the Disney believe December 18th. Booking opens to Pearl tomorrow. And then every day this week we'll open up to a new group of castaway club folks and then goes on sale to the general public on October 19. And as a reminder, our home port will be Port Everglades and her itineraries will be four and five night Bahamian and Western Caribbean. Western Caribbean. Thank you. I was like, what's the word I'm looking for? Western Caribbean sandwich.
[00:06:44] Speaker D: I knew you were. I could tell. I could see it in your. This is, this is, you know, we are a married couple. I, I can, I can we finish each other's sandwiches.
[00:06:51] Speaker B: Y.
[00:06:52] Speaker D: So, so.
[00:06:52] Speaker B: But let's, let's, let's start.
[00:06:54] Speaker D: Can I jump in and say one thing about the maiden voyage? I gotta say I actually am very happy about the timing of the maiden voyage because this is a Saturday and it's right.
That first like week of sailings essentially is like the start of most, most people's Christmas break. So it doesn't, the, the Maiden doesn't fall on Christmas, but it is the five days of most people leading up to Christmas. Yeah, exactly. So, so for families with school age kids like us, it actually fits perfectly. And so Nathan will Only have to miss one day of school, which will be that Friday just in order to get, you know, we, we tend to go the day before because try to not pull Nathan out of school very much. He will have to miss just the one day. So timing wise, I'm actually really happy. And I was of course predicting Port Everg. I thought it made a lot of sense. Let's start the new ship. Let's start there anyway. Yeah.
[00:07:53] Speaker B: Danny, Stephanie, what do you think about the decision to put the ship down in Port Everglades and do the 4 and 5 basically trade out the Destiny for the believe? What do you, what do you, what do you think about that?
[00:08:03] Speaker A: I love, I love the four and five night itineraries because we actually just did five nights on the Destiny and like that was a very good. I still love a seven night. I even love a longer cruise. But like five nights is enough to like really relax, really experience everything on board. I find that you're really, really rush even on a ship that you've been on before in three nights. And four nights is okay if nothing else is happening, like if it's not Halloween on the high seas or very merry time or Pixar day at sea, because then it becomes way too much to cram into those four days. So I think the amount of time is fine. And I honestly love Port Everglades. It is for me as a traveler. If I'm not going down to go to Disney at the same time and I'm just going for a cruise, I think that's the way to go. Because you fly in, the airport is so easy. The hotels are so close, the port is so close.
We've been able to get some great deals on hotels there that we might not be able to get in Orlando and we don't have to spend a lot of time and money getting to and from Port Canaveral. So personally I'm very excited about this
[00:09:13] Speaker C: four and five night sailing.
[00:09:16] Speaker D: Yeah, sorry, I was just going to say you also have the Miami airport that's only about an hour away. So you have another option and you're less likely to sort of need or rent a car. Sorry, go ahead, Danny.
[00:09:26] Speaker C: Four and five night is really strong to get a lot of people on the ship to get to experience it. I'm still surprised that the Treasure is exclusively doing seven night sailings. A lot of people can't commit that much time and I know there are people that would want to sail that ship. But either for finance reasons, for time reasons, you know what have you, they can't make that commitment. Whereas the Wish, the Destiny and soon the Believe will be offering these more accessible, shorter things that just fit into people's schedules better.
[00:09:59] Speaker B: Yeah, I would, I wouldn't be. Now that you've got the Destiny and the Treasure going out of the same port. Right. Once the Believe comes online, I wouldn't be surprised if Disney in a future release was like, we're going to swap out who does the seven night sailings. Because there's. There are plenty of folks who are like, I don't get out of bed for anything less than a seven nights. So I got to think they have, they got to have at least one or two ships doing those pretty consistently. But I wouldn't be surprised swap them for years.
[00:10:26] Speaker A: The Fantasy did that seven night and then it switched to shorter sailings again. Right. When the Treasure took that over. So I just think it's a matter of time. But I agree with you. We actually haven't been on the Treasure because it's been hard to fit into our schedule. But we are going in January.
[00:10:41] Speaker C: We are going in.
[00:10:43] Speaker B: Nice. You're gonna love it. You're gonna love it.
Let's, let' with something that you all had that was very unique to this event, which is the folks who were invited onto the ship had to do this scavenger hunt. And we saw lots of bits and pieces of it around social media. But walk us through the lead up to the reveal and what DCL was having you do and what you were really able to learn. What was that experience like?
[00:11:12] Speaker C: So when we were invited, we received sort of very cryptic instructions from Disney that, you know, most of the time Disney only wants us to talk about the confirmed things, the stuff that they've officially announced that we know is going to happen.
[00:11:27] Speaker A: No rumors.
[00:11:27] Speaker C: No rumors, no speculation. But for this event specifically, they told us up front, we're not going to tell you all the details yet. We're going to give you some hints about the movies, about the ip, you know, that's going to be featured on this ship. But we want you to let your imaginations go. We want you to look for the clues and peel back the layers and, you know, start dreaming blue sky. Thinking about this new cruise ship.
Before we actually got on the voyage, all we had to work off of was the publicly released sort of teaser announcement video that Disney had done for the Believe. That had shots of like Moana and Peter Pan and Frozen and those. Yeah, that was all we had to go on for building our list of IPs that we knew would somehow be featured on the ship.
[00:12:20] Speaker A: And I was pretty certain, looking at all the spaces on the ship, I was pretty certain which spaces would have the potential for change. And I was 100% right about that. And so many people were like, oh, I think they're going to swap out Worlds of Marvel or things in the kids club. But last year, when I was in Germany and we heard directly from the imagineers who were building this entire class of ships, they were very specific about what they called signature spaces. So places like World of Marvel or Salon. The Salon, all of those kinds of places.
[00:12:51] Speaker D: 1923, the kids clubs. Yeah.
[00:12:55] Speaker A: Yeah. So I was like, they said very clearly that those were all set for all the ships, so I didn't think that those were going to change. And that was correct.
[00:13:05] Speaker C: I do think some of the reactions and there's a lot of emotions flying around here about what was announced versus what people were dreaming and hoping of. I do think some people let their imagination run wild because they're thinking each ship is a completely blank slate. And that's, you know, the engineering and the build time that goes into these cruise ships. The lead time is measured in years.
So some things were decided and set in stone a long time ago.
[00:13:38] Speaker A: Yeah. Well, and if this was the treasure and we have no idea what to expect, this is the fourth ship in the class. They're not throwing everything out that they did on the first three ships.
[00:13:48] Speaker D: I love when they.
[00:13:49] Speaker A: When people in the promenade.
[00:13:51] Speaker B: Wait, say that again.
Sam, let Stephanie fit because you guys were cross talking. Stephanie, finish what you're saying. Say that again.
[00:13:57] Speaker A: Sorry, Sam.
I would. I saw people before the sailing hoping that they would change the promenade. And I'm like, this is not how shipbuilding works. Yeah, it's not. It's not going to one deck promenade.
[00:14:10] Speaker D: Yeah. I always think it's funny how people, when they're asked and they're talking about this in the Facebook groups, they're asked for their feedback. Right. On ship layout and things like that. And they're always thinking, oh, do you think this means that they're going to take into account our feedback. Feedback when it comes to the promenade deck, for example, or whatever. And it's absolutely exactly what you said, Stephanie. It's like they've. And Danny, you. Like, they've decided. This was probably all decided, like maybe close to 10 years ago. Right. Like somewhere between five and 10 years ago, this is decided.
[00:14:44] Speaker C: To be clear, they are taking your feedback and they're weighing it and considering it. Just the opportunity to implement doesn't necessarily come along with the next ship. The next ship is already been fabricated or partially fabricated. So they take that into account for the one after the next ship.
[00:15:05] Speaker B: Yeah, I will say personally, I don't, I don't, I don't quibble with like bringing back 1923 worlds of marvel. Like I wasn't expecting anything there. I'm, you know, not expecting some, you know, massive change to the structure of the ship.
[00:15:17] Speaker E: I agree with you.
[00:15:17] Speaker B: That's like a fool's errand. Like once they design a class, that's the class. Right.
We'll get into it a bit later. I do just wonder about the spaces that they did change.
Like I really do want to hear from you all like, you know, some people are seeing this as like, well, it's just another frozen restaurant. I don't think that's, I don't think that's right based on what we've seen from you.
[00:15:37] Speaker C: But yeah, there's a lot of hot takes out there right now and there's a lot of people jumping to their keyboards and frankly I think a lot of this commentary is going to age like milk. It's like, you know, the people at Disney, the creative minds, the people working on these ships who have these long range forecasts, you know, who are planning these things years out, who are thinking about, you know, connections to movies that are in the pipeline that we don't know about and other strategic developments that are going to happen across the fleet. You know, I don't like they're playing chess and we're thinking in checkers.
[00:16:14] Speaker A: And I also think that like when you build a new Disney park, nobody complains when you bring Mickey Waffles and Space Mountain. Right. So if we're bringing something that's already popular back onto it ship, nobody's complaining about Haunted Mansion Parlor coming back. Right. And if you look at the older classes of ships, things were, are almost identical even across the magic class and the dream class. The menus are almost identical in all the restaurants.
So.
[00:16:41] Speaker D: And people were, people were mad that they didn't bring animators palette to the Wish. So I think you're exactly like, they want everything to be different and the same. Right. Like we can't make up our minds. Disney fans.
[00:16:55] Speaker C: Yeah, it's, it's a balance because you need to like, for things to become an iconic part of the DCL experience, they need to be present on multiple ships, they need to be repeated. Cruisers need to experience it again and again.
But you do also need to keep things New and exciting. And there's always new technology coming out and new movies and new characters and IPs that you want to incorporate into the ships. So they're definitely walking that tightrope. And there was, I think, the first response from a lot of people after the reveal event. They wanted to hop on their keyboards. And this is just a general take on the state of the Internet in 2026. Right now, it's a lot easier to tear down than to build up. People wanted to jump on, they wanted that buzz, they wanted attention, they wanted to come out blasting with a hot take. And I just don't think they're going to stand the test of time.
[00:17:54] Speaker A: Well, go ahead, Brian.
[00:17:57] Speaker B: I want to dive into the scavenger hunt, the mechanics of it a little bit so we can get folks that information. Because I do. I want him to hear that because I also want to. I also want to just kind of unpack the.
You know, you sort of said, we went into this. Disney was like, blue sky, think blue sky, think blue sky. I think the scavenger hunt was like, oh, we get to speculate a lot. It could be this and this and this, like. And then leading into the reveal.
Kind of want to start to unpack not just what it was, but is some of the reaction we're seeing now that Disney kind of created the space for a lot of people to say there's a lot of stuff that could happen on this ship. And then when the reveal comes, it's more what we might expect from a typical release.
[00:18:35] Speaker C: Yeah, sure. Here's the mechanics of the scavenger hunt. So we got on board, we got settled right away. Our scavenger hunt began as soon as Mr. Before muster drill? Yeah, like before muster drill. Like get on the ship, have a bite to eat, and then right away go to the kickoff. And each stage of the scavenger hunt started with a clue. And then the clue would have some sort of a puzzle that needed to be solved. Maybe a word unscramble, maybe going to
[00:19:04] Speaker A: a specific stairwell to find paintings and then decipher something that was already within the paintings.
[00:19:11] Speaker C: And then there were. Usually each clue was sort of a multi step. Like you would get a clue that you would decipher that would tell you to go to the seventh deck or the seven and a half, the stairwell in between seven and eight, because there were paintings on the wall there. And then you had to look at the paintings to find some hidden letters, figure out what word they spelled, and then that would send you to collect the Next item in the scavenger hunt.
[00:19:40] Speaker A: So on the first day, it was really only before Muster drill that we had most of our clues. So we played these puzzles and then we didn't know how many steps there were at all, any of the days until we got to the end.
[00:19:52] Speaker C: Some clues were like two steps, some were like five steps.
[00:19:56] Speaker A: At the end of the first day before Muster Drill, we all. So we all started together and had the first clue together and then the second clues were handed out. We did not know this at the time, but there were four different end points that you could achieve, essentially. And so the one that we achieved was we ended up in Keg and Compass and they gave us a card. And when we handed the card in at the bar, we were given a cocktail that we now know is called the Moonshine and it's going to be at Skygazer. They didn't tell us what was in it. They didn't tell us the name. They didn't tell us the name of the location. They didn't even tell us if it would be served in that pub location on the ship.
[00:20:31] Speaker C: Yeah, we were. So we were all enjoying this cocktail, but then we were going, does the fact that we were served a cocktail in keg and Compass mean that it's a clue for this same space on the believe?
[00:20:45] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:20:46] Speaker D: So there was. That's the funny part is I think that it was like there was so much. There was a lot of misdirection because I think a lot of people, not you in particular, but others who were on board with you were like.
Were like thinking, oh, it has to be from a different venue because that's too on the nose to serve it in this venue. But it was exactly on the nose.
[00:21:09] Speaker C: Right at the time. We thought perhaps they picked Keg and Compass because that was a space on the ship. They tried to have our scavenger hunt, not interfere with regular cruise passengers as much as possible. So at the time we were like, maybe they put us in keg and Compass because that's a space that they knew they could reserve for our group. And then I will tell you. So this is the glassware. We were gifted some of these signature drinking vessels. And at the time when we got this in keg and compass, not knowing anything about stargazers, we all thought this looked like a fishbowl.
And we thought this was at the time. And it turns out we were right about this one. But we were all guessing for a Little Mermaid themed bar lounge. But we did not pick up on the Constellation details in the glass. We thought it was a fishbowl. And we thought it was a Little Mermaid clue.
[00:22:02] Speaker A: So then that night, the only other clue we got that day was when we went back to our stateroom after dinner and the show. And they actually did custom towel animals for us every day.
[00:22:12] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, this was funny. They brought on colored towels. All the linens on Disney Cruise Line are nice white linens. They brought on colored towels. And our towel animals that night was a. Pascal was a green chameleon with a green towel.
[00:22:28] Speaker A: And so we assumed it would be something Rapunzel the next morning. And there were basically instructions to go to the Oceaneer Club. The next morning. We met with Rapunzel. We helped her find Pascal. And then we got a clue that set off. Yeah, there's Pascal.
[00:22:41] Speaker C: Yeah, there's a picture coming up. Honestly, it was so shocking to see a colored towel. It totally threw us.
[00:22:48] Speaker A: But it was. It was very. I loved that they did this. This is one of my favorite parts of the scavenger hunt because it was so cute every night to get something so different.
But after we got our clue from Rapunzel, it set off a series of clues that took us like an hour or so to complete.
[00:23:04] Speaker C: They had us going all over the ship. Up and down the stairwells, forward, aft, like all over the ship.
[00:23:11] Speaker A: The end point was that we harvested ice, which was glowing ice cubes, the kind they put in drinks. And then we took it to Oaken over in the Arendelle restaurant and we traded him the ice for another clue.
That clue was actually a bingo card that really had nothing, well, almost nothing to do with actual clues on the ship. It was more about experiencing things that are on all Wish Class ships. You. There were many, I think 16 different things that you could do. And you had to get a row of four of them.
[00:23:43] Speaker C: So you could go in any direction.
[00:23:45] Speaker A: Yeah. You could do the Aquamouse. You could do a drawing class, you could go to Trivia, you could do the Incredicourse, all of these different things. And the one thing everybody did was a special surprise encounter which ended up being with Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps. So that was kind of our clue that something Zootopia was coming. We did this in the Disney studio, though, which is where on the Destiny they do the Doctor Facilier greeting. And only one group was allowed in at a time. So we didn't actually know what was happening in there until we got in and met with Nick and Judy. And so at that point, we were then given when we were done with our whole bingo card. We were given a time to come back to the Hideaway, which is a flexible space off of herozone that's usually used for Vibe and sometimes Edge for additional events. And there they had a gifting suite where they gave us, frankly, some media swag. Nothing was specific to the Believe.
[00:24:43] Speaker C: It was all general. General Disney Cruise Line.
[00:24:46] Speaker A: Although there were like, we got a shoulder plush and some people got Pascal Heihei or Olaf, which do align with the IPs that are on board. But there was no, like, here's a Believe tote bag kind of.
[00:25:00] Speaker C: And can I just talk quickly? So Brian's got the photo of our. Of our pua. Towel animal. And I don't know, the face, I guess is giving Pig. It was the little purple mark on his eye. We came in and we all scratched our heads a little bit at this towel animal.
[00:25:17] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:25:17] Speaker A: At first I was like, is it a Heffalump?
He's very cute. And then something that I. I loved was later in the afternoon, there was actually an experience that everyone on the ship could participate in if they wanted. They did trivia, but they did it in the grand hall so you could come in and participate. And it was believe trivia, but it was basically about all the ips that were in that publicly released video. So it was questions about things that happened in Encanto or Frozen, etc, and that was really fun. And the. It was packed, the floor was packed,
[00:25:51] Speaker C: the balcony, people on deck four and five like calling out their answers. That was a really interesting game of Trivia. We did 20 questions and honestly, the 20 questions were pretty basic stuff. You know, like, how many, like how many of the dwarves have facial hair from Snow White and the seven Dwarves?
[00:26:12] Speaker A: Where does Elsa build her ice castle?
[00:26:14] Speaker C: Yeah, really not that challenging questions. And a lot of teams got to like 18, 19, 20 out of 20. And then they got to the tiebreaker questions and the difficulty meter went from like a three to like a ten.
And like.
[00:26:28] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah.
[00:26:30] Speaker A: And that was kind of the last question.
[00:26:33] Speaker D: What was the tiebreaker question? Sorry, I know. Mammoth Club actually won the tiebreaker.
[00:26:38] Speaker C: Yeah. So our. Yeah, our friend Molly from Mammoth Club and some of her friends, they ended up winning. There were three. So we made it to the tiebreaker round and we lost in the first tiebreaker question, which I believe was. There's a portrait of the Madrigal family. And it's like, how many members of the family are present in the portrait.
[00:26:59] Speaker A: Yeah. Which I actually knew, but I couldn't remember if at the start of the film, if Bruno was crossed out or not crossed out.
So I like, we decided to guess 11, but we should have guessed 12. I don't remember what the middle question,
[00:27:13] Speaker C: one of the questions, it was like Snow White was, oh, it was, how
[00:27:18] Speaker A: many years between Snow White and Frozen's release?
And then the last one was, was it a runtime?
[00:27:26] Speaker C: It was a runtime, which I've actually noticed. We went to a few other trivias on the ship, and as a tiebreaker question, Disney loves to use what's the runtime of Frozen? Or whatever movie they're talking about. So if you really want to be a trivia buff, study up on those.
[00:27:44] Speaker A: I was studying up on release years.
[00:27:47] Speaker C: Yeah, we were looking up, like, who directed, who wrote, not like, which two
[00:27:51] Speaker A: movies did Ron Clements work on. Those kinds of things.
[00:27:56] Speaker C: We lost out on a separate, separate Frozen trivia event because the tiebreaker was, what is the runtime of Frozen in minutes. The answer is 102, by the way.
But I did not know that at the time.
[00:28:09] Speaker D: But you'll never forget it now, Danny.
[00:28:11] Speaker C: No, it's burned into my brain now. So next time, Frozen trivia, watch out.
[00:28:16] Speaker A: We're coming for you.
And then that night, we got the pua towel animal, and we also got a cryptic clue about going to Wishing Star Coffee in the morning to start our morning. And they. We found out later, later that they had sent everybody to all the different coffee shops on the ship so that we wouldn't overrun any one of them. And when we got there, they gave us a Royal voyage latte, which is not currently available on the wish class,
[00:28:42] Speaker C: but will be on the believe.
[00:28:44] Speaker A: And it is delicious. It's coconut and white chocolate. But on the top, they had printed the Prince Eric statue that is hidden in the snorkel lagoon. So we knew we were going to have to go there for a clue. They did have two other alternatives. You could go biking out to the the lookout tower for a clue, or if you didn't want to do anything physical, you could assemble an encanto. It's like a puzzle that looks like the vision that Bruno smashes the green glass one with Mirabel and Casita. So we snorkeled because we love snorkel. This was our castaway key.
[00:29:19] Speaker C: This was our castaway day. So we all started the morning. They, you know, everybody split up, went to the various cafes, got the Prince Eric clue. So we get to castaway key, we get all of our snorkel gear on. We get the GoPros out all the waterproof stuff. We all dive in the water. We all go snorkeling to find Prince Eric. And there's a buoy floating in the water with 1989, the year that the Little Mermaid was released. And that was the code that unlocked a lockbox that gave us another, like X Marks the spot scavenger hunt map on Castaway.
[00:29:54] Speaker A: This was actually very cute because it looked like X marks the spot treasure map. And there were three X's that we had to visit throughout the day. But like being on a deserted island essentially with a literal treasure map, I thought was super, super fun.
[00:30:09] Speaker C: And so the first stop, it took us to the new cabanas.
[00:30:13] Speaker A: The COVID Cabanas.
[00:30:14] Speaker C: The COVID Cabanas.
While there, we received the first part of our ticket.
You can see we've got a picture up there of the believe reveal event ticket. We had three stops on Castaway, and each stop gave us another piece piece of this ticket to get into the Walt Disney Theater.
[00:30:33] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:30:34] Speaker C: So we did the cabanas. Then the next clue took us to the Olaf summertime movies, the Freeze stand. And then the last one took us to the boat beach, where we got to meet Moana.
[00:30:48] Speaker A: The summertime freeze, though, was a hidden clue as well because of the summer theme of the new Frozen restaurant.
[00:30:57] Speaker C: There were layers to all of this stuff. Layers on layers.
When we did get to meet Moana, Brian, we've got a picture if you want to pull that up.
This was a really cool experience meeting Moana.
We, you know, asked her to teach us about navigating by the stars and wayfinding.
When we spoke to Disney on Castaway, they made it very clear that Moana was a one time only never for this event never to be repeated ever again.
Greeting. And they were also very clear that when we took our photos, there was no, like human made architecture.
[00:31:37] Speaker A: Do like a panning shot of like the ship over to Moana. You were allowed to film or photo
[00:31:42] Speaker C: only in that wonder, because that wouldn't make sense. It's per. It's fine for Moana to be on the island with the tropical greenery and all that, but it wouldn't make sense if there was a modern Disney cruise ship in the background with Moana.
[00:31:55] Speaker A: So we gather.
Yeah, they are.
We gathered all the pieces of the puzzle and then we took them up to back to the ship. We took showers and we got ready. And then we went to the reveal event, which I know you watched. It was live streamed.
And then we got all the answers we actually had. We. We Weren't sure if we were going to get answers throughout the scavenger hunt or if it was just going to be more guessing and it was just questions that made us have more questions. So we found out the true answers along with everybo else.
[00:32:27] Speaker C: Yes. At no point during the scavenger hunt were the clues complete enough for us to be like oh, the piano bar is going to be Little Mermaid. And at no point during the scavenger hunt did anybody from Disney confirm our theories. And I'm sure if you were following along on social media we were all like locking in our predictions because we were playing for bragging rights. There was no grand prize at the end of this scavenger hunt. There was no, you know, it was just bragging rights. Who had the creative vision, who put the clues together.
[00:32:57] Speaker A: So then we. Oh, go ahead Brian.
[00:33:00] Speaker B: Yeah, let me ask this. So, so, so the, the event leads into the 30 minute livestream that everyone saw and everyone knows the outcome of of sort of that live stream.
I want to get to a second. You guys got a special show after we get there in a second. But there was a question in the chat that I've been sort of noodling for a little while which is just. Did they say anything? So if I think about the progression of you know, wish to Treasure, Treasure to Destiny, I think we've always looked at it. The Destiny amped the entertainment on board with these meet and play opportunities are Meet and plays returning. I mean I know they've got the Judy and Nick kind of crime thing but did they say anything about the meet and plays on the Destiny?
[00:33:43] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:33:44] Speaker B: Sorry. The day to believe.
[00:33:46] Speaker C: Yeah. The day after the livestream event we had office hours with our reps at Disney and we had the opportunity to ask our follow up questions.
The press releases were all out at this point and set see you know and again they're being fairly tight lipped because the ship's not in the water for another 14 months and they don't want to.
[00:34:06] Speaker A: They still want to reveal entertainment team on what all these will be. So we other than the Nick and Judy thing that is going to happen in Gazelle and sounds like it will be kind of similar to Encanto Celebration where it's like probably an hour ish long thing where families can participate in different things except that it'll be solving a mystery with Nick and Judy instead of learning about the culture of the Madrigal family.
[00:34:33] Speaker C: They were pretty clear that there's an activity where you and your family can join forces with Nick and Judy and the ZPD to solve some sort of a mystery. And then knowing how these things work on other cruise ships after the activity, it will turn in to an opportunity to do posed photos and character autographs and all of that sort of stuff.
[00:34:55] Speaker A: And we didn't get hints on other ones, but it was. It was like winked at that there would be more meat and play to be announced.
[00:35:04] Speaker C: So they did do a little. This happened during the live stream. You saw one of the story seekers come out with the frame of the mirror and they were like, no, no, we're not ready to talk about that yet.
[00:35:15] Speaker A: Danny and I have different theories on what this means.
[00:35:18] Speaker C: We have two theories on what this means. I think that this is going to be very similar to the Dr. Facilier experience on the Destiny where you go in, it's a small group experience and you get face to with the character. And I think it's going to be the evil Queen possibly with the mirror.
And I think it's going to be a small, intimate, you know, maybe 10 people, however many people fit in the Disney studio space having a unique meet and play experience.
[00:35:48] Speaker A: I think that they're going to take the Happy Haunts type game and make it into something.
[00:35:54] Speaker B: Oh, that would make a ton of sense actually.
[00:35:56] Speaker A: Would work.
You'll be right.
[00:36:00] Speaker C: Those.
[00:36:01] Speaker D: I just want to put. Yeah, I want to put it out there. These, the two things you just heard from Stephanie and Danny are prognostications, as we like to call them. These are like there are some hints about a magic mirror. That's the only thing that Disney has revealed.
[00:36:16] Speaker C: But in terms of what that's where we.
That's where we think the payoff is going to be. The Nick and Judy stuff we have have from Disney that is going to happen in Gazelle on the Belief also
[00:36:29] Speaker A: with the story or the possibility seekers that are going to be on the Believe who are different than the story seekers that kind of guided the reveal.
We are. They didn't say for sure, but especially because it's four and five night sailings, unlike the Wish, that's really short sailings. Not really enough time for those extra things. I do think we will see entertainment kind of like what we have seen on the Destiny and on the Treasure with like an adult show, an adult comedy show themed like Indiana Jones or Marvel in the Gazelle space. I don't know what it's going to be themed to and I don't even know that they're doing it. But I'm assuming that we're going to see that or the little like lobby shows that they do like the Aladdin or the Sleeping Beauty. Mostly accurate tale. I think we'll see a bunch of those on this ship.
[00:37:17] Speaker C: I feel that those have been very popular and very well received across the fleet and across the cruisers. And I am again, this is not confirmed from Disney but I am expecting a believe version of that kind of enhanced entertainment.
[00:37:34] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:37:35] Speaker D: And I gotta say I'm crossing my fingers for, for this kind of blue sky stuff because this is the thing that could really enhance this ship. Right. Like so, like I think this is. We're. I know Brian wants to jump into the IP and the spaces and we're about to do that. But I want to say like there is promise if they do what they did on the Destiny and the Treasure in the spaces that they have announced on the Believe. There is promise for a great ship even for people who are maybe underwhelmed or just whelmed by some of the theming that is on board. So let's dive in there.
[00:38:16] Speaker B: Well, actually I want to, I want to ask you. So I, I put a pin in one thing for a second which is we know because there's videos floating around that there was a special stage show for the invited Believe folks that occurred after the livestream.
Talk to us about that and we've
[00:38:32] Speaker D: regular guests and regular passengers.
[00:38:35] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:38:35] Speaker C: Let's clarify something, Brian. It wasn't after the live stream. It was that night's entertainment on the ship.
[00:38:43] Speaker A: Instead of doing seize the adventure or something like that because it was a four night scene sailing. It was actually the night that Halloween was happening as well. Halloween on the high seas activities were happening but so they did it twice opposite each dinner.
[00:38:57] Speaker C: I will be honest and not to brag, it was a phenomenal show. They brought the house down. It was led by Susan Egan. It was part of this ongoing series of Broadway performers that 10th and Main is the production company. They have been bringing this incredible rotating cast of big name Broadway star stars onto the ships. And this is for the longer sailings where like Steph says, I think it's
[00:39:22] Speaker A: five night sailings and longer. Select five night sailings and longer.
[00:39:25] Speaker C: So this is when you have. There isn't one of the Disney signature Broadway style shows and your entertainment for the evening opposite your dining rotation is in this case it was a Broadway concert. And rather than it just being a selection of Broadway songs, they picked all songs that had to do with the movies and characters that will appear on
[00:39:48] Speaker A: the Belief and it was really good
[00:39:51] Speaker D: it was really good, I gotta say, if. If you haven't watched it. So I. I, of course, was not on with Stephanie and Danny. I asked them to stow me away, but I didn't fit in their luggage. We tried everything. I'm just not that small.
But no, our friends over at Laughing Place actually uploaded on their YouTube the entire concert. It's called, like, Dis in Concert. And I just watched it this morning. I didn't. I hadn't watched it before today.
And it is incredible. And I have to say, I wish that Disney had streamed that instead of the presentation, because it was like, heads and above. Beyond what that presentation was, it was so good. And it actually made me way more excited about the IP watching that concert. And I know that they like to do these experiences, like, exclusive for. For the guests on board, but they were letting everybody film it. So I'm like, why didn't you stream it if you're gonna let everybody film it? So that. Just my two cents about that.
[00:40:57] Speaker A: Something that I would like to say about the. That I also got really excited about this concert. And I got excited on our final night when we were in Arendelle, which is. Was already my favorite restaurant of any restaurant on any of the Disney ships. I love the food. I love the entertainment, but I had not been on the Wish in a while, and I forgot how electric that performance is, how good the food is. I was already excited for the Oakens Table experience, but that made me, like, a million percent excited. And I think when we're. When we're hearing these announcements like, this is coming, this is coming, this is coming, you're just kind of processing it, maybe being a little, like, critical, whether that's positive or negative, but you're just processing the logic of it, right? But that concert and the Arendelle Experience we had the next night gave me all the emotions. Hearing the Gazelle songs being sung, hearing Mother Knows Best by Susan Egan, all of these things, I was like, oh, I remember why these movies make me feel things. And now I need to get on this ship because I'm feeling so many things that can only be contained on a cruise ship named the Belief.

[00:43:06] Speaker B: Right.
[00:43:06] Speaker E: The crew that handles the planning so you can focus on relaxing.
[00:43:12] Speaker B: Let's go to Oakens for a second because I think you guys got more information than what was in the.
In the thick. So, like Caucasus.
[00:43:20] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:43:21] Speaker C: Here's what we can share about Oakens. This is a new chapter in the Frozen story.
This takes place. Oaken's family has sort of a summer house, cottage type retreat in the forest. In the forest. The meal is going to be hosted by Oaken and we're gonna get to meet new members of his family.
For certain that Anna and Kristoff will be making appearances. They have not confirmed anyone else, but I would be shocked if Elsa and Olaf didn't appear in some form.
[00:43:56] Speaker A: We know that it's going to be like a very, like, warm family get together. That's kind of a hodgepodge. All of the tables and chairs are going to be totally different and mismatch.
[00:44:05] Speaker C: Mismatch. Whereas Arendelle is the, you know, this formal engagement party in the palace, Oaken's table is, you know, a cottage in the woods. Get together with your friends and family.
[00:44:19] Speaker A: We don't know. Oh, go.
[00:44:20] Speaker C: Also know that the music is going to be borrowing from across the whole frozen universe. Universe. So the Broadway show, the feature films, the shorts, anything frozen. And that it's going to not be the renditions that you know from the movies. It's going to be more contempor, More pop punk. Somebody said it would make an excellent Spotify playlist.
[00:44:46] Speaker D: I love me some Lost in the Woods. I'm going to give. I need Lost in the woods to be in this dining room. And then I will. I will, like, eat my hat and be obsessed with this restaurant. If they do Lost in the Woods. I'm going to say that we were
[00:45:01] Speaker A: told that it was going to be super high energy and super comedic. So if you remember the. When they do Let It Go and Kristoff and Olaf are singing it in the Arendelle restaurant, and Olaf off is like fluttering the snow everywhere, they said that's the kind of energy that the whole show is going to be. And also that the menu will be totally, totally different.
[00:45:21] Speaker C: And let's be honest, that's key.
[00:45:23] Speaker B: That is very key if we're getting a new menu.
[00:45:27] Speaker D: I love it.
[00:45:28] Speaker B: I love the original, too. Yeah, I just, like, I really. I really thought this was an opportunity because each ship has gotten its new signature restaurant. And so I think people were reacting a bit to this. Feels like a letdown because we're just going back to what we already have. But one, you're describing a different show, different soundtrack and different food. So it's the same ip, but it's a different setting. Yeah.
[00:45:47] Speaker C: Yes. And a different setting.
So there are two sticking points from the reveal. There are two things that everyone really latched onto when they started saying it was a rehash. One of them was the Frozen Dining and one of them is Inside Out. And the difference is, is that in this dining space with the show, they have so much latitude to like, yes, Frozen is a repeat in terms of the intellectual property it's based on, but they have so much latitude with the performance, with the decor, with the menu. There are so many aspects of it that they can create a genuinely new experience.
I'm a little more sympathetic to the people who were underwhelmed with Joyful Sweets, because in that particular space on the ship, how much can you really do to differentiate, you know, inside out Joyful suites versus inside out to Joyful Suites.
[00:46:46] Speaker A: And we don't have concept art or anything for that yet. But it does seem like it's going to be in Headquarters. Like the way the original Inside Out Joyful Sweets, as we were actually talking about this today and thought it would be so cool if they did it like a Bing Bong Sweet Shop, kind of like you have at dca, like Imagination Sweet Shop. Or if they did something that. What is her dreamscape called with all the unicorns and everything?
[00:47:12] Speaker D: Oh, yeah, Something Productions.
[00:47:14] Speaker A: But I was like, if they did something totally wackadoodle and awesome, it's Imagination
[00:47:20] Speaker D: Station or something like that, isn't it?
[00:47:22] Speaker C: Something like that.
[00:47:23] Speaker A: If they didn't do it Headquarters, that would be a very new take. And maybe they are, I don't know. But the artwork that we have seen so far suggests that it's going to be also in headquarters, like the one on the Wish.
[00:47:34] Speaker B: I also look at it and go, there are spaces on the ship where just to be blunt about the theming, contributes less. Right. Like the Sweet Shop. It's really cool to see the theming. It's always fun to go in there and take pictures, but it's not like pivotal to your cruise experience. The Sweet Shop, some people want to
[00:47:50] Speaker A: come in the whole time.
[00:47:51] Speaker B: Yeah, I think, I think the, the.
[00:47:53] Speaker D: I don't ever eat anything from there. I go and take pictures.
[00:47:56] Speaker B: I think the signature dining experience absolutely is something that can impact your cruise. I think the signature shows on the stage can impact it. And I think the bar spaces, because the adults all hang out in the bar, so they want to, they want to have a fun space to hang out in. But I'm not going to begrudge them recycling the Aquamouse or not creating a new show for it or bringing back worlds of Marvel. Every ship up until now, including the prior ships, just basically repeating dining venues. But yeah, this actually is giving me hope because what it's telling me is, yeah, it's the same ip, but it's completely different.
[00:48:27] Speaker C: It's completely different. And I will also say, so just the timing of our dining rotation. So after the reveal event, our dinner that night.
[00:48:35] Speaker A: No, our dinner of the very last night.
[00:48:37] Speaker C: Oh, was it? Okay. Our dinner of the very last night was Arendelle. And like that show slaps. We had so much fun. And like every, not just our table, the entire restaurant, Oaken had us in stitches.
[00:48:53] Speaker A: The Arindale, we're flipping our napkins around.
[00:48:57] Speaker C: It is a good show. And I know that there are some people listening, you know, who are Pearl Cruisers and they've been on the Wish umpteen times. And you know, but let's be honest, percentage wise, of Disney cruisers, most people have seen that show once, maybe twice. Like this idea that Frozen is played out or you don't want to go see another Frozen show. I don't, I don't buy it.
[00:49:23] Speaker A: It has so much energy. Tatiana, who went on the sailing for WWDW magazine and DCL magazine on the Treasure for the media sailing, she said the Coco shows are beautiful and they're so emotional. We've seen the Line Lion King show on the Destiny a few times now and it is fantastic and Broadway esque.
But the Frozen, the Frozen show is fun.
[00:49:47] Speaker C: The Frozen show is fun.
[00:49:49] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:49:51] Speaker D: The Coco 2 shows are phenomenal. Honestly, the Dancing the storyline. And really, I mean all of the. I have to say they have done a wonderful job with execution on all of the. All three of those show restaurants across the wish class between Arendelle and Coco and Pride Lands, Feast of the Lion King. So, yeah, really, really fabulous. Let's. Let's go to bars and lounges.
Curious in terms. Let's start with C notes. I'm curious in terms of any additional information they gave and do you have any theories about whether or not there could be any kind of meet and play in here? I don't think they said anything about it, but I'm cur. If they're.
[00:50:37] Speaker A: They didn't say anything about it, but I think that'd be a really cool place to do it. I can say that they gave us the seashell glass that is for one of the signature cocktails. And I didn't really think about this at the time, but having been able to take this home and hold it in my hand and look at it very closely, I have a theory about this. Again, prognostication. I think this is going to be like the Scat Cat Cat glass.
[00:51:06] Speaker C: Remember that? The really fancy cat.
[00:51:08] Speaker A: I don't. I don't see them serving this and then taking it away and washing it for somebody else. I think you're taking this home for like 100 bucks.
[00:51:18] Speaker C: We don't know. We're guessing on that.
[00:51:19] Speaker A: Total gas.
[00:51:20] Speaker C: But that's our, that's our theory.
[00:51:22] Speaker D: It's beautiful.
[00:51:23] Speaker C: It's very beautiful. It's very delicate.
[00:51:25] Speaker A: I never knew I needed one and I'm so glad.
[00:51:31] Speaker B: It's like the, it's like the bird glasses that were on.
[00:51:34] Speaker D: Which, which bird glasses?
People. It was nightingales, but people stole those. You weren't. You weren't able to buy those. And then they got smarter when Scat Cat opened and they made it. So you, you could only get that drink if you bought the darn glass or they served it to you in a different glass if you didn't buy the glass. So yeah, you got correct. Yeah. And so exactly as you said, about a hundred dollars and that glass plus the drink will be yours. Yeah.
[00:52:02] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:52:03] Speaker C: So no additional, no additional hints about C notes. I agree with you. You know, thinking about treble making with Cruella in the equivalent space on the Destiny, A meet and play could be very interesting.
You know, we know that we've got the, the theatrical guides to the ship coming.
You know, we'll see a version of Ariel and a version of Ursula or Vanessa.
[00:52:30] Speaker D: Vanessa.
That's What I've been thinking about Vanessa because obviously we can't.
Ursula would be very difficult to have a meet and play with. But Vanessa would be less.
[00:52:41] Speaker A: She can show up.
[00:52:43] Speaker C: She's got nothing confirmed on that front. She does.
[00:52:48] Speaker D: All right. Wishing well.
[00:52:49] Speaker C: Wishing well. Wishing well. So I am proud to say that of all the clues, Steph and I, we were 100% confident in a Sleeping Beauty inspired for this space.
[00:53:00] Speaker A: I called the Little piano back in April.
[00:53:04] Speaker D: Not Sleeping Beauty. Snow White.
[00:53:06] Speaker C: Snow White. I'm sorry, Not Sleeping Beauty, Sam. Thank you, Snow White. But yes, going into this. Going into this, looking up the clues that we received, we were very confident. In my mind, I had pictured this as more of a diamond mind.
I was thinking in the ceiling having lots of glittery, sparkly. But this sort of Enchanted Forest vibe is also very nice.
[00:53:29] Speaker A: What you can't see in the concept art, but what we were told when we went to those office hours is that it's actually kind of structured in three zones. So back closer to where the bar is is more almost like the Evil Queen's potion lab. And then the middle is more like the forest, but apparently the stage area is more like the cottage. So I think that that's really cool that they're bringing in the three different
[00:53:51] Speaker C: scene, like, backgrounds sort of progress through the film.
[00:53:55] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:53:56] Speaker C: Also can I say that I really
[00:53:57] Speaker D: thought it was going to be Spellbound, by the way. I thought.
Yeah, I agree.
You and I were on the. We're on the same page in terms of Snow White, but I thought we was going to more lean into the Evil Queen.
[00:54:10] Speaker C: I did ask specifically if there would be overlap with Spellbound from the Adventure, and I was told no. This is a brand new space.
[00:54:20] Speaker B: Please tell. I don't know what the drink was that they shared with you from this bar. I think they did share a drink, but please tell me it was an apple martini like beverage, because I feel like if they don't of have piece a poison apple martini, they're missing an opportunity.
[00:54:31] Speaker D: Was a mocktail.
[00:54:32] Speaker A: So we don't know what the full menu is, but they did. They let us sample a drink that was a mocktail and it's called the Peddler's Disguise. And I actually don't know if it was apple flavored or not.
[00:54:44] Speaker C: I didn't try that kind of like
[00:54:46] Speaker A: a bluey green color and to me it tasted like.
[00:54:49] Speaker D: Well.
[00:54:50] Speaker A: So we were with Jeremiah from Laughing Place, and he said he got the scent of apple. When I sipped it, all I got was like melted blue Jolly Rancher and Sprite.
[00:55:01] Speaker C: I didn't taste that one.
[00:55:03] Speaker A: That. That might sound unappealing, but like, it was sweet. But like, mocktails are typically pretty sweet. Right? It wasn't off putting, but like, I didn't get apple out of it, but maybe it is apple. I'm not sure.
[00:55:14] Speaker C: This is one of the signature cocktails. This is one of the collectible glasses.
I don't actually care for the design of this glass.
To me, it looks like a character sipper you would get in the theme park. And I just don't think.
I don't. I don't think that matches some of the elegant, sophisticated design that we've seen them showing off.
[00:55:38] Speaker A: But if this is a mocktail and geared maybe more towards kids, not that adults can't enjoy this too. That makes a lot of sense. We were, in full disclosure, we were gifted this glassware as well, but Tatiana loved it. So we sent her home.
[00:55:50] Speaker C: We sent her home with ours because she loves the Evil Queen and that's her person. That's hers now. Interestingly so from the photos, I thought that this glass was. The base looked sort of rubberized and plastic to me. No, it's all frosted glass. It's actually quite substantial. It's got some heft to it.
So it is nice. And if you are a fan of the character, you know, but to my aesthetic tastes, I didn't think it was up to par with some of the other stuff we've seen.
[00:56:21] Speaker A: What is very cool about that one, though, and I don't know if it's only going to be for that drink or for many of the drinks that are served there. They had in the sample that we were given. And this could change before they actually debut the drink. But in the sample we were given, there was basically like a plastic ice cube within which I believe was dry ice. But like, so you couldn't actually get at the dry ice and hurt yourself. And it kept just the smoke thing out of the glass for like half an hour. This glass was in front of me.
[00:56:53] Speaker C: We all love the smoke bubbles and the effects that they do with the bar, but it's a one and done and then it disappears.
[00:56:59] Speaker A: This was cool.
[00:57:00] Speaker C: We were talking is a patent pending invention out of the folks from WDI that allows there to be continuous smoke in your beverage. Which I thought, you know, I. I respect Disney going to those lengths to invent a new ice mechanical thingamajig. I don't know what the technical term
[00:57:22] Speaker A: would be already deployed in some way.
[00:57:26] Speaker D: Actually.
It's A thingamabob.
[00:57:28] Speaker C: Thingamabob, yes, it's a thingamabob.
[00:57:30] Speaker D: You're right.
[00:57:30] Speaker C: That is a more accurate technical term.
So then we learned a bit about what skygazers. Skygazers is going to take over the pub space.
So this is keg and Compass or 20,000 leagues or CASK and cannon on the other ships in the fleet.
This is the moonshine cocktail that we
[00:57:51] Speaker A: sampled and there's a non alcoholic version of it called the starshine, but it's gin, sake and aloe liqueur.
It was very good and refreshing and it had like shimmers in it.
[00:58:04] Speaker C: Yes. Confusingly, the moonshine cocktail does not contain any moonshine.
[00:58:10] Speaker A: Yes. And the bubble on top, they are calling a moon aroma bubble.
[00:58:16] Speaker B: Now, what does the moon smell like? I'm curious.
[00:58:20] Speaker C: It's a little bit sweet, a little bit citrusy. Sea. Yeah, it's nice. It's a pleasant drink. I enjoyed that one. Now to stray back into speculation territory for a second. So Steph and I were thinking about the effect that they did in the 20,000 Leagues Pub in the Periscope Pub, which is themed to 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. And they've got screens on the ceiling and it looks like there is aquatic life swimming around you.
Not confirmed yet, but we suspect that the Stargazers Pub is going to have some sort of an interactive ceiling, possibly one that, you know, moves through, you know, like from full night to sort of dusk, you know, where the stars.
[00:59:03] Speaker A: Different constellations.
[00:59:04] Speaker C: Yeah, different constellations emerge and disappear. Maybe the moon goes through different phases.
[00:59:10] Speaker A: I've heard quite a lot online. Oh, go ahead.
[00:59:13] Speaker B: I was gonna say, I'm actually wondering if, what they might do because if you go to Periscope, right. They have an actual periscope. And we actually had, we had talked to someone on board who was a part of the process here and they had shared with us, you know, we'd actually considered like, do we put something in there that people can look through and kind of see different things? Yeah. So I'm wondering if maybe for, for sky gazers, what they'll have is a telescope that when you look through it, you can see constellations more. I mean, I agree with you about the sky, the, the rooftop sky, but I also wonder if they'll do something fun with like a telescope or something you can look through and see some different things. So.
[00:59:46] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I, I hope they do. And I've seen some chatter online with
[00:59:50] Speaker D: people who were like, viewfinder.
[00:59:52] Speaker A: Oh, that would be cute.
I like a Steampunk style viewfinder, that would be adorable.
But yeah, online people are like, oh, it's not as tied into IP as cask and canon, but keg and compass isn't. And I haven't heard anybody complaining about that. I'm actually. I love the aesthetic of like the oldie timey wayfinding constellation book books everywhere that they're talking about astrology based.
[01:00:20] Speaker D: So very meridian feeling like meridian from the dream. Yeah, that's kind of the vibe that's.
[01:00:28] Speaker B: You probably didn't. You didn't experience this, but when we watched the live stream, it like cut out. So it was like they talked about skygazers and then it's like came back and I was like, what was that? I thought maybe they were going to retheme the road into like a more ethereal kind of, you know, space. But yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:00:45] Speaker A: I am excited to see what they do with the literal rose that they have in the rose on this ship though, because it's been different on every.
[01:00:52] Speaker C: Right. Like, we already have a gold one. We already have a silver one.
Maybe they'll encrust one in jewels or something.
[01:01:00] Speaker B: We were told that it was an art. It was supposed to originally be a story arc where it was like, it was like a budding rose. And then as the rose was supposed to open more and more and start to lose its petals as the ships came online to show the arc of kind of Beauty and the Beast the story.
[01:01:14] Speaker D: And there was supposed to be one with one petal, one petal left and then all the other petals on the ground. Old one instead. So. Yeah, it was. Anyway, yeah, I think it. I think the original concept different. Yeah, yeah.
[01:01:28] Speaker C: It just goes to show you that these things are always evolving and changing.
[01:01:32] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely.
[01:01:35] Speaker B: We will. We will skip past Haunted Mansion unless. Was there any detail? Like, is. Is it just a lift and shift of haunted mans onto this ship?
[01:01:45] Speaker C: Let me say this.
[01:01:46] Speaker D: Nightmare Before Christmas we got. I mean, Danny, you and I were both like convinced we were going to have this.
[01:01:53] Speaker C: Let me say this. No. We have no additional information from Disney. I did think that they were suspiciously short with the mention of Haunted Mansion during the event.
I believe, and I am staking my. Because I want the bragging rights in 14 months from now if I turn out to be correct. I have been saying this since the scavenger hunt started, that the only place I can think of Nightmare Before Christmas fitting on the ship is in a space like the Haunted Mansion bar.
We already have the template for this at Disneyland with Haunted Mansion Holiday. And I still believe that closer to the reveal of the ship, we will find out that instead of being another copy of Haunted Mansion, which would feel imbalanced to me, being a carbon copy lounge space on three out of four ships in the fleet, I still believe it will be Haunted Mansion Holiday featuring the same kind of enhancements and overlays that the Disneyland attraction receives.
[01:03:03] Speaker B: That would be a win.
[01:03:07] Speaker D: We and you, I feel like, have been talking about this for months now, and I feel like ever since that teaser video and I really think that that could be the thing they're holding back. The main thing they're holding back. And I don't know necessarily why. Maybe because they want another excitement bump later closer to the ship's launch.
[01:03:29] Speaker A: But it could also be contract rights situation.
[01:03:32] Speaker C: Honestly, some of this stuff, you know, it could be a boring legal rights
[01:03:37] Speaker A: permission issue, figuring out show elements and if they can make them work the way they want to.
[01:03:42] Speaker D: Right. I mean, it is property. Yeah. It's a Tim Burton property. Nightmare Before Christmas with of course, some kind of licensing or whatever deal they got with Disney, but it's not fully.
It's not like a fully Disney developed product. Right. So there might be different legal stuff. Okay, we've got Encanto to talk about.
This is like, how excited were you? This is the big thing.
[01:04:07] Speaker A: A million percent since April. I've been saying this is what I was staking my bets on. But I'm thrilled to be right.
[01:04:15] Speaker C: Yeah. This got, bar none, the biggest reaction from the whole event with the live audience. This has been getting the most positive buzz that I have been seeing online.
I'm thrilled. This show has everything, this movie. Like, it's got comedy, it's got romance, it's got adventure, it's got mystery, the, you know, the colors, it's vibrant, it's lively. The music is all obviously phenomenal. You know, this has got everything going for it. It's got stuff for the grown ups, stuff for the kids, people who are theater nerds. Like, it's a. This is a slam dunk.
[01:04:52] Speaker A: The music so good.
[01:04:53] Speaker C: We saw the same recorded.
[01:04:57] Speaker D: Yeah. Every song in this movie. I will say the movie's not one of my favorite movies, but every song in this movie is a banger. Yeah, it's not, it's. It's not like I don't dislike it, it's just not like one of my favorites. Like, but the songs, the soundtrack is one of my favorites.
[01:05:14] Speaker B: If they continue the trend of like Moana with the puppetry, then Hercules with The puppetry and even the enhanced, like staging they did for Hercules with the projection mapping.
If they bring all of that together in this performance, it could be unreal, especially with the house as kind of a canvas.
[01:05:31] Speaker C: So, yeah, yeah, I think the house is where we're gonna see some of that larger than life puppetry.
[01:05:37] Speaker A: House is going to be a puppet.
[01:05:39] Speaker C: Yeah. Casita is a character in and of its. In the film.
So we saw the same recorded message that you all did with Lin Manuel Miranda, talking about how excited he was and this is going to be the first adaptation of the story.
I did very pointedly ask my connections at Disney how involved is Lyn in the production, and they would not tell me any specifics.
I did also ask if he could come on the podcast and talk about the show, and they politely deferred the question. Question whether or not he's directly involved.
I do. I am very excited about this show, about this adaptation. I have faith in Disney Live Entertainment to do justice, you know, to bring these stories.
I know they're taking care with their casting, doing a global casting search for the right people to portray these roles.
And this is my number one most anticipated feature coming. Coming to the believe.
[01:06:44] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, this is the thing. This is the. This is the reason I would sail this ship is to see this, to see this show. So, yeah, and.
[01:06:52] Speaker D: And Danny, if they invite you to this workshop and you need a plus one in Toronto, I will spend my own money and I will fly out. I'll sleep on your plane to come.
I will get on that plane to come and join you in Toronto if they do any of kind. Kind of showcase.
[01:07:10] Speaker C: So for any of the listeners, for any of the listeners who don't know what we're talking about, DCL Live entertainment, when they are rehearsing the shows on land before the cruise, before the cast go and join the ships. Their rehearsal facility happens to be in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which also happens to be where Steph and I live.
I was very fortunate to get an invite with a small group of people a year year ago to peek behind the curtain as they were rehearsing Hercules. And that was a truly memorable DCL experience.
[01:07:45] Speaker B: What have we. I have. I have one completely speculative question to wrap us up, but before I get us there, what have we missed? Like, were there tidbits that you learned on board that maybe we haven't heard about that you can't share that we haven't covered.
[01:08:04] Speaker D: We haven't covered the coffee shops, but I don't know if they gave you any more details about that?
[01:08:08] Speaker A: They didn't give us any more details than what you heard. It's going to be Cafe Kakamora, which I also thought was a little bit. I have no problem with it, but
[01:08:16] Speaker C: a little similar to the Hei Hei
[01:08:18] Speaker A: already have Cafe or Hei Hei Cafe.
So just is Moana right on all of the ships. So I just thought that was an interesting choice because there's so many stories they could pull from, really.
And Big Hero Sips got a huge reaction.
We actually had a Baymax towel animal on our very last night in our room.
[01:08:43] Speaker C: I do have. I'm not. I don't know that this detail was talked about.
So correct me if you already knew this, but in terms of the main atrium, the Moana themed atrium and the chandelier, which is going to. It's not actually going to move, but they described it as being like moving currents of water.
There is a heart of Te Fiti hidden inside the chandelier. Did we already.
Did we already know that detail?
[01:09:12] Speaker B: Yes. And they talked about the synergy between the chandelier and the carpet kind of moving along with the ocean and the waves, which I think is. I mean, that's great. I mean that. That brings cool lighting.
[01:09:22] Speaker D: Yeah, it's like the cool lighting feature they've got for chandeliers.
[01:09:27] Speaker C: Talk about stars. And the ceiling of the atrium.
[01:09:30] Speaker D: No, I don't think so.
[01:09:32] Speaker A: So you can see in the concept art that there are some relations and stars like Gramma Tala, there's a Grandma
[01:09:40] Speaker C: Tala manta ray, there's a Maui hook.
So we do know that. Yeah. There you go. Just to the right of the chandelier up in the top there, you can see there's Gramma Tala as the manta ray. On the left hand side, you've got Maui's hook.
So expect interactive, changing things to happen in the ceiling.
[01:10:00] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that, that chandelier, by the way, way the concept art looks gorgeous. It looks very different than what we've seen on the other ships so far. It looks gorgeous. And they had. I love this atrium, by the way, on the desti. They amped up this whole atrium experience. And so I'm really hoping they kind of bring that.
[01:10:17] Speaker C: I think we're going to carry through some of that entertainment in the atrium. One design detail. This is my own observation. Look at the sort of proscenium arch over the stage area.
[01:10:28] Speaker B: It's a lot like Alani.
[01:10:29] Speaker C: It's very much like the architecture. Olani yeah. Which is a lovely connection to the Polynesian.
[01:10:37] Speaker D: Right. It's that canoe shape is. It's the boat shape. It's essentially think of the boat upside down, and that's what it's supposed to represent. And it's very common in Polynesian art to have that representation as well. Yeah.
[01:10:51] Speaker C: One observation I have about that concept art for the lobby, I'm reminded of the original concept art for the Trail Treasure Atrium and thinking that all of the colors looked very dark. And then when we actually set foot on the ship in real life, the colors were a lot lighter and brighter.
I don't know yet which direction we will go with this Moana theme.
But definitely the initial Treasure concept art, which you can find on Google, is a lot moodier and darker than the finished product.
[01:11:24] Speaker A: In person, I thought it looked like a very adult ship that kids might be scared of because it was so dark, but I thought it looked beautiful.
[01:11:31] Speaker B: I think the one thing with this concept art that I'm like, yes, it looks dark, but a couple of things there. One is it looks like it's in a show mode, like they've got a spotlight on her. And the atrium does get darker. It dims when there's a show happening, which is, you know, not its normal state. You know, the thing is, when you're doing concept art, like, they don't have to get into all the detail of people on the balcony and stuff. So, like, they essentially kind of make the thing a little darker, I suspect.
[01:11:54] Speaker C: So for sure, don't focus on the stuff in the shadows. Focus on the things where highlighting. Absolutely.
[01:11:59] Speaker B: All right, here's my question, because this was being bantered around in the chat. Totally speculative. And I'm going to be curious if we all arrive at the same thing here.
[01:12:09] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:12:10] Speaker B: Do you have speculation on who the godparent of the Disney believe is going to be?
[01:12:17] Speaker C: I have two ideas.
It might be too soon, but I had considered Bob Iger.
Oh.
Sometimes Disney does like to honor, you know, important people within the company.
But the other one that I had is Lin Manuel Miranda.
That's a big, flashy name. If Encanto is going to be a marquee feature of the ship, I believe he was recently made a Disney legend. Am I correct about.
[01:12:51] Speaker D: Yes. At D23.3 this year. Yep.
[01:12:55] Speaker C: So purely speculative. Those are the. Those are the two names that came to my mind.
[01:12:59] Speaker A: Well, I have no idea when they pick the godparent, and I would actually be shocked if they. I'm sure they have a short list, but I'm sure they don't have a contract in place with somebody at this point yet. I have no idea who they would actually pick. But who I want them to pick is Ali Carvalho, because I love her. And Moana is on.
Like, Moana is a big feature of the ship. And it would be very cool to have somebody so young be a godparent.
[01:13:26] Speaker D: Yeah, that would be cool.
[01:13:27] Speaker C: What about you guys? Do you have thoughts?
[01:13:30] Speaker B: Go for it, Sam.
[01:13:31] Speaker D: I mean, I. I'm with you on Lin Manuel Miranda. I. I mean, I will say that our friend Tracy brought that up to us.
I don't know. Maybe the day the reveal came out, I think she was texting and saying it's. That's. Who would be the perfect God godparent godfather for the ship. And the first time they had a male godparent was with the Disney Adventure. The most recent recent ship, it was Robert Downey Jr. It is typically email role in terms of just ship in maritime tradition. It's, it's, it's. It's typically been a.
[01:14:06] Speaker A: You can read all about it in our new issue.
[01:14:09] Speaker D: There you go. Exactly. So there is a maritime tradition behind it. However, they have broken that tradition. They broke it actually with the wish because they had make wish kids. And then they broke it with the treasure. It was the cast members.
And then they returned to it with Susan Egan as destiny godmother. But then they broke it again with regard to Robert Downey Jr. So I very much think we could see Lin Manuel Miranda. I think it fits in perfectly, but I don't have any. You know, I would be happy if it was Auli as well. Like, I mean, it was. There's a lot of wonderful people that it could be.
Jodi Benson isn't a godmother yet of a ship, though, and she is Disney royalty as well and comes on every.
You know, she's everywhere in terms of all of these different, you know, Jodie.
[01:15:01] Speaker C: Jodie. And would be a very fitting pair together.
[01:15:06] Speaker A: I could actually see them doing.
I could see them doing a trio of Idina, Kristen and Josh Gad.
Because Frozen gag will have just come out. It'll be like, like big hype. We've got the new Oakens Table restaurant. I could. And like, they do a lot of press together, so I could see that.
[01:15:26] Speaker D: True.
Yeah.
[01:15:28] Speaker B: I have. I have three. One of which we've all said, which is Lin Manuel. I think it would be amazing for Lin Manuel. I just. I just don't know if he would do it right, if he'd want to attach his name to a kind of godparent of a cruise ship.
I think the Josh Gad strikes me as a really good pick because he's been so deeply involved with Disney and their movies and their ip. Like I. That would be a really interesting pick. You know, the sleeper for me, the completely off the wall one that I would just love to see is Neil Patrick Harris. Like I would just love to see Neil Patrick Harris.
[01:16:02] Speaker A: We don't love to see more NPA just for funsies.
[01:16:06] Speaker B: I would be, I would like. I would be so excited to get on a maiden voyage if there was even a poss. Even a remote possibility of Neil Petrakaris being on board as the godparent the ship. So yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:16:19] Speaker C: Someone in the comments here is suggesting Mandy Moore, which actually I kind of like that suggestion as well.
[01:16:26] Speaker A: Big Mandy Moore fans.
[01:16:28] Speaker C: We breezed past Tangled. But I am very excited for the Tangled musical. It is getting updates and upgrades for this new staging on the believe and
[01:16:37] Speaker A: I love it as is on the magic.
[01:16:39] Speaker D: Yeah, me too. I was gonna say the same thing, Stephanie. I don't know that it even needs any updates cuz it's like such a perfect show and I, I love, I love the way they do Maximus on it. That the puppetry, it's. You know, all the puppetry across dcl is fabulous and Maximus and like just like Sven and Frozen. No exception. Right? Fantastic.
Just the way they do it.
[01:17:04] Speaker B: Ashley's got a great one which is Jonathan Groff.
[01:17:07] Speaker D: Groff. Yeah.
[01:17:08] Speaker B: That could be a really good one.
[01:17:10] Speaker D: I mean we love some, everyone loves them. Some Groff sauce. Yeah. So yeah, he would be great. He's a little bit, A little bit more out there in terms of. I'm not sure they would pick him because I'm not sure he's enough like on brand, on message.
[01:17:26] Speaker B: Right?
[01:17:28] Speaker C: No, like he's done the role of Kristoff, but he's not really involved with Walt Disney in any other way.
[01:17:34] Speaker D: You know, these other people, they have
[01:17:37] Speaker C: deeper ties, they have more crossover.
[01:17:39] Speaker B: What about like a, like I feel like it could be interesting if they moved away from kind of some of the animated core IP and decided to honor someone outside of that. Just thinking like what about Harrison Ford?
That could be a really interesting.
[01:17:51] Speaker A: Sign me up, I'll be there.
[01:17:53] Speaker B: You know.
[01:17:53] Speaker D: But
[01:17:56] Speaker C: a ship like the Treasure I feel would have been more suited to a godparent like Harrison Ford.
[01:18:02] Speaker B: Look, if there's one thing I've learned following the cruise line now for eight years. Right. It is that like not Everything always hangs together as tightly as we would like, right? Yeah, I'll be excited regardless.
[01:18:15] Speaker D: Listen, I will say just the theming. Believe. Right? Just that is like so loose. And I don't, I'm not criticizing. I think it, it is intentionally loose because so many things, you know, believing in yourself, believing in fairies, believing in whatever. Right. Like, so there's a lot of, there's a lot of things that can kind of fit into that.
[01:18:39] Speaker B: Dwayne Johnson, so Dwayne Johnson, the rock.
[01:18:43] Speaker D: A lot of.
[01:18:45] Speaker B: Anyway, well, Stephanie, Danny, let me give you an opportunity to remind folks where they can find you about the magazine, the podcast, like, go for it. Tell people how they can find and follow along with you.

[01:19:26] Speaker C: Yep, you're definitely going to want to get that so you can mark the date for the maiden voyage and start counting down to your next Disney Cruise Line.
[01:19:34] Speaker A: And if you use code DC Duo, you will get, you will get savings on both the magazine or any of our magazines. Really. Or any of our calendars as well. Right now.

[01:20:09] Speaker B: Thank you for being such an amazing part of the Disney community. I just want to say that, like, we like there, there are people in the community we love and adore and you are absolutely, absolutely two of them. So thank you.
Yeah. Thank you for and you know, lastly, thank you for continuing to support our, you know, little community and show here.
We really appreciate that and you know, just love you guys. Adore you guys and really appreciate you taking the time.
[01:20:34] Speaker A: Oh, we love you.
[01:20:35] Speaker C: We love you guys too. We know how passionate you are about DCL and we love to share that with you and your audience and our audience and everyone out there who's a cool excited about cruising well, as we
[01:20:46] Speaker B: wrap up here, I will just remind folks out there that we will not be back on Tuesday. Unfortunately, work beckons and since I have to produce these live shows, I can't do it on Tuesday this week.
So we will not have a live show this Tuesday. Sam, correct me, but we will be back Tuesday a week.
[01:21:04] Speaker D: We will be back, yes. The following Tuesday we will be back with guest Josh who is currently, I believe sailing on the Disney Fantasy. It's going to be a Halloween on the high seas trip report show. We're going to have another Halloween on the high seas the following week actually with Vanessa and Andrew. They are doing a side to side, I believe Dream and Destiny. So we're we got to cover all the ships doing, you know, Halloween on the high seas because there are some differences and it is the month of October so we got to make sure that you get all of that info right here on time. We know our recorded episodes don't release as timely so we love to get our live episodes to be as timely as possible. I got to give one more plug in for our show sponsor.
We do travel right because booking starts tomorrow for the Disney believe. So if you are a Pearl castaway member, you are booking tomorrow morning that is Monday, October 12th. If you are platinum you are booking on Tuesday, October 13th. If you are gold you're booking on Wednesday, October 14th. If you are silver you are booking on my birthday Thursday, October, October 15th. And if you are thank you. And if you are a first time cruiser you are booking the following Monday. If you're not DVC. If you're DVC you can book with
[01:22:28] Speaker B: Silver or Gold notes or ABD. ABD insiders at a certain level.
[01:22:33] Speaker D: ABD insider Golden Oaks and Club 33 can book with Platinum I believe actually this year. But anyway, if you are an ABD insider, meaning you've been on an adventures by Disney or you're a DBC member, you can book with Silver. If not, if you have no DCL connection or other affiliation, you are booking General Public on October 19.
I think you have a chance of getting on the Maiden because there is some controversy out there from more experienced cruisers as to whether or not they're interested in going on the maiden. So if you are a first time cruiser and you want to get on the maiden, I will tell you you probably won't get your top choice in terms of stateroom if you are particular, but you probably will be able to get on the ship. And the same goes for every castaway club member.
You may not, you know, make sure You've got multiple alternative staterooms chosen because you may not get your first choice of state room because particularly in concierge that might actually go on the first or second day.
[01:23:32] Speaker B: So, and I just want to say this too, on the booking piece, don't, don't, don't lean in so hard on all of the folks out there who are very experienced cruisers. We have deep seated opinions and emotions around cruising around all these ships. And what we found with the Wish is, you know, the folks who like, we actually liked the Wish, but, but the folks who got on, who didn't like it, who were seasoned, the people who got on who hadn't really been on that many Disney cruisers, like, yeah, this is cool. I like it. So like, and it's ultimately won over I think some of the even longer time cruisers. But, but like book if the, if you're interested in this ship, you will and you sail on her, I guarantee you'll have a fabulous time. We have, we have yet to have a terrible time. Right?
[01:24:14] Speaker C: I say this all the time. People ask me, what's your favorite Disney cruise ship? And I always say that my favorite ship is whichever one I'm currently on.
[01:24:22] Speaker E: The next one.
[01:24:23] Speaker D: I have both.
[01:24:23] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:24:25] Speaker D: I want to mention, I want to mention something in the chat because Ed is reminding us. Thank you, Ed. If you are booking the maiden, the, the deposit is 10% and it is non refundable. So there are special restrictions. You cannot change out the lead guest, guest on that booking. You can change out meaning swap out other guests before a certain time period. I don't look at the details on the website, but absolutely it is a 10% non refundable deposit. And so you want to make sure you're actually going to be able to go on that maiden if you're booking it. So. And you can only buy Disney's trip insurance on the day you book. They don't let you add in their trip insurance later like you can on some other cruises. So if you don't have your own trip insurance through some third party and you are worried about any emergency, just read the fine print and purchase that trip insurance, whether through Disney or otherwise.
[01:25:24] Speaker B: The call center folks are generally, usually good when they have this kind of moment that they're like, I got to read you about 10 different warning screens before I can take your credit card information. And so listen carefully to what they tell you so that you don't get caught off guard later. So.
[01:25:37] Speaker D: Or talk to your travel advisor should know those details. Yeah, yeah.
[01:25:42] Speaker B: All right. Well, we will. I think we will leave it there. Oh, actually, I did want to put one call out to folks. If you were on the Treasure when they did this special new band test, if you were on that sailing, I would love to hear from you around what, you know, what that test was actually like and like what they were using it for. We've seen lots of it. And again, there's a lot of.
I just want to be very clear because we posted about it immediately, a slew of comments of I hate this, I hate this, I hate this rolled in and like, I don't really have a strong opinion about this one way or the other.
[01:26:12] Speaker D: It's a prototype, by the way, but
[01:26:14] Speaker B: it is a prototype that is not necessarily the thing that they would be going with. It sounds, it seems to be, it's testing that they are testing to see if this concept could even work. I don't think these, these primary color bands are going to be the thing that they make people wear around the ship. And also it is meant to be not a replacement of the magic bands or the magic band pluses or Disney band pluses you can bring on the ship. It's meant to shift them more into Virgin Voyages model where instead of a card, a physical plastic card, you are getting a band that you wear around and it does everything that your card would have done, but it's a giveaway. It's just something they give you. You can take it home or you can throw it in a bin at the end and they will cleanse it and recycle it for the next sailing. That seems to be what they're they're aiming at as a pretty part of their overall sustainability effort to reduce single use plastics on the ship, which the key to the world card unfortunately is.
[01:27:07] Speaker D: And that is us sort of reading the tea leaves. Just to be clear, Disney has not made announcements about this.
[01:27:13] Speaker B: Yeah, this is all our prognostication and reading between the lines. It's not an official announcement by Disney. All right, so for now we will just wrap up and say thanks to everyone out there for hanging in with us. Danny, Stephanie, one more time, thank you for joining us and for everyone, everyone else out there, we will see you next time.
