[00:00:00] Speaker A: It's like chicken with paprika over this, like cream almost pasta. Like to the American eye, it looks pasta. It's. It's something else. But it's so good. Kind of like a sour cream vibe to it as well. I think I'm describing it poorly, but that's how I remember it. [00:00:18] Speaker B: You're describing it great. I'm heading to the airport. I'll see you later, Sam. [00:00:20] Speaker C: Yeah, Brian. I'm going to say that sounds like a Brian dish to me. [00:00:23] Speaker B: That is a Brian dish right there for sure. [00:00:31] Speaker C: Foreign. [00:00:38] Speaker B: Welcome back, everybody to another live edition of the DCL Duo podcast brought to you by my Path Unwinding Travel and the fantastic folks over at Sam's Got Props. WDW Magazine. DCL magazine really is our show sponsor. We are excited because we got all like eight copies of our magazine delivered today. [00:00:58] Speaker C: We did, yes. [00:01:00] Speaker B: And there is a lovely article inside from yours truly all about parasailing at Castaway Cay. And there it is. Yes. Thank you to our friend Rebecca for taking that lovely photo there of the ship that we then touched up. But excited for it. If you have not gotten your float test issue of the DCL magazine, head over to dcl-magazine.com right now to get your copy. It's great articles even not the one I wrote. Other great articles in there, great artwork. They put out a really quality product. So head over there dcl-magazine.com and then use code DC L DUO to get 10% off everything in the WDW magazine store, including calendars, magazine subscriptions, all the fun stuff. Head over there now. [00:01:47] Speaker C: Look at this cute picture of Brian and Nathan parasailing. And all three of us actually on the incredicoaster as well. I mean, there's some. There's really some great shots in here. I will say I actually love. They did a whole feature on the Remy dessert experience and the pictures of those desserts. I'm not a dessert person, but the pictures of those desserts is gorgeous. [00:02:10] Speaker B: Oh, the photos are great. Yeah. [00:02:11] Speaker C: And they also did a great article about the glacier day in Alaska. So there's some really good stuff. [00:02:16] Speaker B: I'm going to be reading that one because we want to do the glacier day in Alaska. [00:02:19] Speaker C: I already, I already read it and yeah, I'm. We actually need to do our onboard booking next week. We need to. We're sailing concierge for that cruise for this summer, end of summer, basically to Alaska. [00:02:33] Speaker B: They also have a sneak peek, I think of the room we'll be sailing in on that cruise. [00:02:38] Speaker C: In that they have the one on the Magic, which is similar, but it's not exactly the same. I've seen the Roy Disney Suite on the Disney Wonder. [00:02:47] Speaker B: But enough about magsies. We have a super special guest back. [00:02:50] Speaker A: I know, I know. [00:02:51] Speaker C: I'm so excited. I'm so excited. And thank you to folks who are complimenting my ears. Thanks to the Morrell family for picking up Orange Bird and Figment for me from Walt Disney World. But anyway, we have the, like, one of our favorite guests. I mean, she is obviously a star. She is a cast member. She is now an ABD Adventures by Disney Adventure Guide and was formerly an entertainment staff cast member on the. On Disney Cruise Line. So obviously you. You guys have had heard her speak to us before. Rebecca's been on our show twice before. This is. There's a three. Pete, we are so excited to have you on the show again. Rebecca, welcome back. [00:03:37] Speaker A: That's so nice. Thank you so much for having me back. I'm so excited. [00:03:41] Speaker C: We are like just thrilled. I mean, we're thrilled for you, you know, in your career that you were able to like parlay this wonderful experience in DCL over to abd. It sounds like it's been a great fit thus far, but we're like, we're just so excited and, and thankful that you're willing to come back and share with us some of your experiences on Adventures by Disney. Because obviously we love to cover Disney Cruise Line and we also love to cover Adventures by Disney. So it was like the perfect match. It's the best. [00:04:13] Speaker A: Yeah. I'm so happy to be back. I actually listened to your episode on the Danube before I started last season because that was my first destination that I was going to. So you guys are a great resource for me as well. [00:04:27] Speaker C: I love that. [00:04:28] Speaker B: Now she's come back to tell us how wrong we were and we can't wait. Not at all. So, Rebecca, you made this leap from Disney Cruise Line to abd. I wanted to start by asking you what are the biggest differences between being kind of a cast member with the cruise line versus being a cast member with abd? I can think of some off the top of my head. But what are the ones that have struck you as the biggest differences in making that move? [00:04:55] Speaker A: The thing that I latch onto most when people, especially who don't know Disney, but when people ask what my job is and what I do is that we bring Disney to otherwise non Disney destinations. So cruise line is for many people, they don't get off the ship sometimes. That is the Disney destination. Whereas Salzburg Austria is not. But what makes it Disney is us being there. So it's very empowering to be almost fully in control of the Disney aspects of this trip, other than the amazing teams that have done years of research and work putting together the trips. But on the ground, we are the Disney connection and the Disney magic for a lot of people. And that's been a really special transition. The cruise, you have a lot at your back and a lot helping you. And if something goes wrong, Mickey Mouse can go out and take pictures of everyone and make it all better. But it is our responsibility to make that Disney magic when we're out on our trips. And I've been really enjoying that aspect of it. [00:06:09] Speaker B: Nice. [00:06:10] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:06:10] Speaker B: The best they can do on the ABD is they bring out. At least I think it was. Shannon had the little Minnie Mouse. Moonshin. Minnie Mouse. No, no Mickey costumes. On those cruises on. [00:06:22] Speaker A: We do what we can and we are able to sprinkle a lot of Disney magic. But it's cool that it comes from us, which is. It's been really special. [00:06:30] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. What's. So when you got on to your first ab, so you've been doing. Actually we step back. You've been doing river cruises primarily, right? Is that. Is that right? [00:06:40] Speaker A: Yes, primarily the Danube river specifically. And then I also did the Central Europe land trip. I did its last iteration for the former itinerary, which started in Poland and worked its way down to Austria. But the reimagined version of that is launching this summer that starts in the Czech Republic and then spends a little more time in Austria than the previous version. So I'll be doing that again this summer as well. Along the Danube. [00:07:10] Speaker B: Which did you prefer? Did you like the land based or did you prefer the river cruising? [00:07:13] Speaker A: They're truly so different that I love being able to do both of them. Now I think I'm in a good place where I have almost equal number of trips in both because they both present very different challenges and very different pluses too. So I truly don't even know if I had to choose which one where I would go. But I'm glad to have both. I was a little worried that with my background in cruise line, I would get like more permanent status on the rivers just as a default. But I'm excited to get to do. To do multiple formats of ABD trips. [00:07:51] Speaker B: What. And what is. I mean, give us a view. Life as an ABD guide. I mean, we don't want to get. We will say this to our audience. We're not going to get Salacious with Rebecca here, but we do. But it is interesting. We have cast on just asking what life is like. So what's life like as an ABD guide? Is it, you know, I'll just. What do you. Yeah, what do you. You tell us what's interesting. [00:08:15] Speaker A: It's a really cool life, I won't lie. So we get our assignments for the summer around March time. So we figure out where we're going, who we're working with, and then we have a few months to research those locations, learn as much as we can, talk to other guides who've done that location before and do as much prep work. There's many ways that can be done, but I found finding the things that interest me most about these places historically and then really honing in on that instead of trying to learn the entire scope of a country's history. But you prepare however you do before we get flown around a lot. So I spend a lot of time in the Munich Airport. That is just always the airport I fly through, no matter where I'm going. But Disney takes very good care of us as we travel. We're always in connection with our managers who stay in Florida and the team that's either meeting us there from the US or who are already there in their home countries. And we have a whole day where we can prep. We do all of the shopping we need to do, all of the team meetings that need to happen and just learning about who's going to be on our trip with us so we can get to know our guests a little bit more before we get actually started with the adventure. We have a whole day to prep and then the trip just starts. And once you start, you are go, go, go for that whole time. We are on call for 100 hours a week. So it is 100 hour work week. [00:10:00] Speaker B: Wow. [00:10:00] Speaker A: No matter which itinerary. And it often is actually that much that you're working as well. So it is a busy time, but it's so varied and so much of it is just talking to people and doing your best to make sure everyone's vacation is as awesome as it can be that it flies by often. And sometimes some of the hours are a two hour bus ride as well. But yeah, we hit the ground running. [00:10:29] Speaker B: Is it fast? Is it back to back to back? Or do you get breaks in between? And how did, how did you like to spend those breaks? Did you want to go? Did they fly you home or did you spend some time in Europe on your own? So like. [00:10:42] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, it depends on your own schedule. But cruises often are back to back. So I think we have two Danubes that are back to back this summer and then we have a week long break and then we have one more. So during that week long break you can either opt to fly home or if it's just more cost effective to stay in Europe for that week or like really four or five days with those travel days and prep days included. Then you can let them know that you want to stay in destination. So I did that last year. I stayed in Budapest and it really helped me get to know the city even more because I was there for like five days and yeah, they take care of you there as well. They make sure we're fed all the time. We have a nice place to stay, like a nice Disney vetted hotel. But our teams definitely encourage us to get to know our destinations as much as possible. So that often does it as well. And then the land trips usually have like two, maybe three days in between them, depending on the itinerary. [00:11:47] Speaker B: So how many trips did you do this past season? [00:11:50] Speaker A: I did. It was ended up being five Danube cruises and then the one Central Europe trip right before Christmas. Yeah. [00:11:59] Speaker B: Okay. So about six. Six weeks. Six weeks Ish on. And then do you get the. It's just 1 abd season. Like you're not doing round year round abd. [00:12:10] Speaker A: The offerings for that January through April are just lighter with the current trips that they have running. So no. And then the more senior you you get, the more trips you can ask for. But yeah, so I, I didn't do anything from right before Christmas until June upcoming year. [00:12:33] Speaker B: Okay. Yeah, I, I want to talk explore. [00:12:36] Speaker A: Other stuff in that off time as well. [00:12:37] Speaker C: Yeah, I was going to ask you that. I would love to know like can you have like another job like outside of either outside of the company or even with Disney while you're in your sort of off time in your sort of guide time? [00:12:52] Speaker A: Yeah, I work as a stage manager here in D.C. so it actually works really well to be able to pick up individual shows as they come. So I just contract work at the different theaters in DC which is the perfect combination. It's a little hard to have a full time job that will let you go off and do adventures by Disney for the summer. But. But many people find a way to make it work. And if you are coming into the role as an adventure guide, your only job is as an adventure guide. So you're not also working at Disney in another role. [00:13:25] Speaker B: Gotcha. Rebecca, I want to ask you about just some of your favorites because You've been on several Danube cruises. Now the Danube is a great first river cruise experience in my opinion. And I think it's a river cruise experience. A lot of folks do. Did you, did you have, did you get to do the Christmas markets one or. [00:13:46] Speaker A: I didn't do the Christmas markets cruise, but I went to most of the markets that is offered on that trip through the Central Europe trip. [00:13:53] Speaker B: What, what, as you think about the destinations, what are some highlights for you? Like, you know, you get to see the city multiple times, you get to see the different excursions that Disney offers. And so if you're going to pick some like real gems, like don't miss these. What would be some of your recommendations in terms of things to do on that Danube cruise? [00:14:15] Speaker A: Yeah, the Danube is truly jam packed. Like there is always, always something going on. There is not a sea day other than for two hours in the Bacao Valley. [00:14:25] Speaker C: That's what we tried to tell people. Like, you know, there's not like, this is not like relaxation like pool deck time. Like we were like, go, go, go. [00:14:33] Speaker B: And, and let's, let's put it in perspective. Sea day is really like we untied the ship and it's floating down the. [00:14:39] Speaker C: It's very calm. [00:14:40] Speaker B: Yes, it's very calm. Yeah. [00:14:41] Speaker A: It can be a full relaxing vacation if you want it to. You never have to join our excursions. But that I of course recommend that you do. Especially I really like the Schonbrunn palace visit in Vienna. One of the great things about Disney's partnership with all of our local guides is that they've been curated through years of like really great, genuine connections. Whether it's our ABD guides working with them or our Orlando based teams liaisoning with the people we work with in destination. So we have some of the best guides in Vienna locked down and ready to meet us as soon as we arrive and show us everything that Schonbrunn and Vienna has to offer. So we always get really great, really, really great local guides to show us around. And every guide does it a little differently. But the palace tour itself inside is just breathtaking and how gorgeous all of the artwork and all of the architecture is there. So I think Schonbrunn is a standout. [00:15:45] Speaker C: I love the marionette show there. [00:15:47] Speaker A: Right. It's such a surprise. You don't think that something seemingly just with puppets. They don't like it when you call them puppets, they're marionettes. But that they could do such a big story with three people working it. I've Actually gotten to stand backstage in the marionette theater and watch how they move around on the rafters up top. So it's a really cool. [00:16:13] Speaker C: Really cool. [00:16:14] Speaker A: For sure. [00:16:14] Speaker C: It is incredible, the skills. I mean, I'm always amazed by puppetry in general. I'm a big Muppets fan. But the marionettes, the way that they can just move them with this sort of delicacy and gracefulness with just these tons of strings, of course. But, like, it's just. Yeah, it's pretty. It's pretty incredible to see, like the emotion they can get out of a character with just these tiny little movements. It's. Yeah, it's amazing. [00:16:45] Speaker A: Yeah. On the flip side, I also really like our time in Bratislava. And that is mostly on your own time, either coming at the beginning or the end of the trip. Both have positives to that timing. But we do a small town tour for like 45 minutes to start our time in Bratislava. And then we give you on your own time to go explore. And that is one of my favorite cities that we visit. It's on the smaller side, but it feels like you can actually get to know the town in the time that we have there. And it's such an interesting mix of where it fits geographically and how its geography affects the history that is, like, left there for us to see. Now there's some really old parts of the town, but then you also have the more communist era buildings as well. So seeing those two starkly next to each other sums up the overall history we talk about on the Danube so perfectly. So I find it fascinating both historically and as a cute town with some nice coffee shops as well. [00:17:49] Speaker C: Always key. [00:17:50] Speaker B: Rebecca, I gotta ask, did you get on a salt mine tour and what'd you think? [00:17:54] Speaker A: Always. [00:17:56] Speaker B: I mean, where do you come out? Salt Mine or Sound of Music? [00:18:01] Speaker A: I love the Sound of Music, obviously, with my love of theater and entertainment and all of that. And especially this year because it's the 60th anniversary of sound of Music, so it's a toss up for me. I'm happy to do either because the Salt Mine is so fun. But I do love geeking out on the Sound of Music in Monseigne. [00:18:22] Speaker B: And for those out there who don't know what we're talking, I should step back because we've done this cruise before for one of the. In. In. It's not Salzburg. It's not the stop. I'm trying to remember the name of the stop. [00:18:31] Speaker C: Right, but you're at Salzburg, though. Basically. [00:18:33] Speaker B: It's like a two hour Bus ride into Salzburg and back. But you, you have two, you had two choices, at least on the cruise we did, which you could either go to this, you know, this area to sort of relive some of the scenery of the Sound of Music and then go into Salzburg and see some more of that stuff and get some time in your own. Or you could go to a salt mine. And I will say, you know, having. [00:18:52] Speaker C: Worked and some time in Salzburg too, though, with the salt nine, we got to do some time. Yeah. [00:18:57] Speaker B: But I'll say, having worked at a lofter where people used to joke, see it back at the salt mine, I don't know that I ever would have chosen the salt mine. But for a guest we had on the show about a year prior to us doing one of the abd river cruises. And they were like, you have to do the salt mine. And oh, man, it did not disappoint in my. [00:19:13] Speaker C: And I would say if you're traveling with kids, you. It's a must to do the salt mine. Like, not to say that, like, I mean, I love the Sound of Music myself and I would find that, I think, fun and interesting. But like, I think with a kid, you're going to want to do the salt mine. It's really fun. There's like some slides. It's like. Yeah, it's a more adventurous. Yeah, I love that. [00:19:35] Speaker A: It is. It is really fun, especially for an itinerary that's a little more like city focused and history focused. It's cool to have something on your feet on slides. It's a really great excursion, for sure. [00:19:49] Speaker B: I'll never forget crossing the border underground. I just thought coolest things. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You said you, you spent some time in Budapest and so I'm curious. I. We were there briefly, like at the end of the cruise. We, you know, had the day there and then we got off and we promptly made the stupid decision to fly all the way from Budapest to Hawaii, but would not do that again. Would not recommend that. But what did you think of Budapest, where, like, we only. We got to see the market, you know, the central market, and we got to sort of walk around the city and see, I think some of the Christmas markets that were out in Budapest and some things like that. But like, what are the things that you really think are the highlights in. In Budapest, since you spent some time there? [00:20:31] Speaker A: I would say anyone who has more than a few days in Budapest should definitely check out any of the baths, the thermal baths that are in town. I think there's over 100 thermal baths of varying sizes throughout the Budapest area. On our first day off of the summer last year, all of us guides went immediately from the ship to the Sinchenzi Baths just to relax a little bit, take in the good minerals. I don't know, whatever it is that comes from the earth that makes a thermal bath. Good for you to take that in and start to relax a little bit for a few days off. And it is just gorgeous as well. So I recommend that for anyone. I also went to the Budapest Opera House and saw an opera there, which was cool, especially with that Central Europe area. You don't think Budapest first necessarily for opera, but there's some really great art in the area. And one main museum that Guergo actually recommended for me. He's our ABD guide from Budapest. [00:21:40] Speaker C: He was one of ours. [00:21:41] Speaker A: I love him. He's so great. He has a wealth of knowledge on all things Budapest and Hungary and just that whole region. He. It is called. I believe it's called the museum of. The Museum of Terror, I believe is what it's called. Fact check me on that, if anyone is looking it up. But it is the main museum on the history of communism and even going further back in history than that as well in Budapest. And I'm a history nerd. I do really enjoy the history that comes with these trips too. So I would recommend that as well. Yeah, there's so much to do. It is such an interesting city. [00:22:22] Speaker C: Yeah, we wanted to hit up the pinball museum there. I'm going to be honest. We didn't go, but we wanted to. We just didn't have enough time to fit it in. I wanted to actually go see the Holocaust Memorial there. Um, but we didn't get. We didn't. There's a bunch of stuff that I wanted to go see there. We just didn't have enough time for. Because we were traveling, you know, so. So far away to Hawaii to relax after. Yeah. And I'm with Brian. [00:22:48] Speaker B: I would really. To just recover from the flu, but. Yeah. [00:22:50] Speaker C: Really? Yeah, we actually. [00:22:51] Speaker A: We all. [00:22:52] Speaker C: We all unfortunately got sick and we picked something up during the vacation or during the trip. And you know, towards the end of the. The abd. I mean, it's like on any ship, right? [00:23:05] Speaker B: It was cold and flu seasons. [00:23:06] Speaker C: It was so like the rounds. [00:23:11] Speaker B: Yeah. What. What I want to talk to you about. Well, actually, I want to ask you one more thing. In Vienna, did you do the wine hall and what did you think of it? Because that was also one of my favorite excursions. Like I've Never seen a busload of adults just so happy on the way. [00:23:26] Speaker C: Back to the ship. [00:23:28] Speaker B: And it was actually fun for the kids because the kids are just kind of hanging out and eating bread and, you know, whatever. And the adults were in a really good mood so they could have as much screen time as they wanted. But. Yeah. What's your. What's your favorites in Vienna? Let me put it that way. [00:23:40] Speaker A: Well, that excursion you're talking about, too, is such a great offering because it's so different from a lot of the tours that we do. Because it's not a tour. It is hanging out in a traditional, like, wine hall in Austria outside of the city. It's like 20, 30 minutes outside of Vienna. So I do like that one as well. I am a little partial to classical music, especially when it's in Schonbrunn palace, so I typically ask to go on that one. But, yeah, I do enjoy the wine hall as well. [00:24:14] Speaker C: I would have loved to do that. But I also knew that Nathan was probably not going to sit through a classical music concert, even though he actually now he plays clarinet. So maybe now he would have enjoyed it more than I think he would have, you know, prior to being. Now playing classical music and, you know, band. But, yeah, I think. I think we made the right choice. But I. I wish I could have. You know, I wish I could. That's the hard part. I think with these choices, there's always, like, for pretty much every excursion, there was. There was at least two choices. In fact, I think there was like maybe one or two times where there were three choices, but usually two. And they both always sounded really, really good. Like, there was one time there was a food tour and an equestrian thing at the same time. And we. We were originally signed up for the food tour, and then they were like, asking for volunteers if anybody wanted to switch to the equestrian because they're. We're oversubscribed in the food tour. And we're like, you know, Nathan's probably not going to eat any of this food. And we heard great things about the equestrian demonstration. [00:25:17] Speaker B: Really cool. It was really. [00:25:18] Speaker C: It was so good. And I'm so glad. I mean, I heard. [00:25:20] Speaker B: I discovered my new favorite food item, the paprika paste. [00:25:23] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:25:24] Speaker B: Not have discovered it. [00:25:25] Speaker C: Yeah. Strong, Steve. So. And we had great food there. So it was really, you know, so it's. Honestly, I didn't hear any complaints from anyone about the different excursions. Sorry. I had to run off to help Nathan with something a little bit ago, but I missed. If you talked about, like, your days when you're doing a guide. Okay. Because it's like a little bit. [00:25:48] Speaker B: A little bit. I don't think we got into detail, But I mean, 100 hour days. Weeks. 100 hour weeks. [00:25:55] Speaker C: Oh, okay. I was gonna say, like, it seems to me. It seemed to me like when we're on, you know, when we were on this, the sailing that you, the guides, you all were up early and up late. Like, there was, like, no stopping and very little break time. Not to say, of course you had a chance to eat, but not a lot of time sitting down. Rebecca, is this was my perception, like, correct? Because it seems like it's a very demanding job when you're on tour. [00:26:25] Speaker A: It is, for sure. And that is very true that there is more that we do behind the scenes in addition to all of the time that we get to spend with everyone. The meals were actually a really pleasant surprise for me. And while we're not, like, shoved into the crew mess away from guest view, we can actually eat with guests, which is so lovely because that is such a special time to get to know the folks on our trip. So I quite enjoy that. But I think it's really rewarding to be able to fully throw yourself into this job and not have to focus on anything else. One thing that's a huge difference from Cruise line to Adventures by Disney as a cast member is that in the eyes of AMA Waterways or whichever hotel we're staying in on a land trip, we are also guests as the adventure guides. And Disney's truly done such a good job at building amazing relationships with AMA Waterways, and then we get to build really great relationships with the crew members who do live on those ships that they always go out of their way to help us in whatever way they can so that we can help the guests on our trip have the best time they can. So I always feel so well taken care of on those Amish ships. We have the same beautiful rooms. We don't get balconies, but other than that, there's beautiful rooms. [00:27:54] Speaker B: You're not in the room. You're not in the room enough to need a balcony. [00:27:56] Speaker C: Yeah, you're. Yeah, that's. I can't. I mean, you're there to sleep, but I can't. Knowing how much we would see our guides. [00:28:04] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:28:04] Speaker C: And even seeing them when they would be sort of clustered in the library doing whatever planning stuff that they were doing, I could. You know, I could tell they weren't spending any time in their room other than sleeping and changing clothes, because there are some really fun outfit changes. I want to. I gotta. I gotta give props to our adventure guides. I'm sure it's the same with you, Rebecca. Is this a thing that adventure guides get dressed up with? The theme of either the country or the theme of what you're doing? Usually in the evenings, yes. [00:28:36] Speaker A: And honestly, the Danube in particular, we like to dress to the theme. There's been days where we've changed clothes, like, three or four times. We do love the dramatics. So we got one comment that said sometimes we were a little too musical theatery, which I thought was boo. [00:28:57] Speaker C: I mean, more musical theater. Y Like we had on our. So on our adventure, we talked. We've talked about this a little bit before, but Danny was one of our adventure guys. And Danny used to play the genie in California Adventure. And so there was one. We had a guest performer. [00:29:16] Speaker B: Friends with. [00:29:17] Speaker C: No, they don't say friends with if you're a stage show, it's just you play the character. Yeah. If it's a stage show, it's not friends with. That's only if you're a roaming or meet and greet type type character. Right. See, Rebecca's nodding. But Danny did like a. He sang with one of the. One of the performers who came on board as, like, the guest performer for the evening. Yeah, Danny got up and sang a song with him, and it was just fantastic. I just. I kind of. I love that. I mean, it's funny because you all aren't necessarily hired to be entertainment in the same way that you sort of are on Disney Cruise Line because you're like tour guide, babysitter, like best friend and entertainer kind of all rolled into one, if that makes sense. Is that a good description, Rebecca? [00:30:07] Speaker A: It's true. And especially on the rivers, we do provide nighttime entertainment, at least some of the nights. So, yeah, we do it all. And it's really interesting as well to work with our team and talk about what interests us, whether it's in our personal life or how we enjoy showing up in this role and getting to make it personal to us, whether that is like Dani singing with the onboard talent or creating our own trivias of questions that are interesting to us. And we kind of had free reins to create entertainment that we think would be best suited for the group that we have at any given time. So there's a lot of freedom and ability to customize either to us or to the guests as well. So we do it all. [00:30:57] Speaker B: Rebecca, I wanted to ask how much. So on our cruise, there was some impacts from the river levels, Is that still happening over in Europe? Did you have any impacts to any of your sailings from the river levels or is that calmed down a bit? [00:31:12] Speaker A: It depends on the time of year. But when we went back for our Oktoberfest sailings, we were impacted. There was huge flooding in Vienna mostly, and it stretched out on either side from Vienna to like the week before we got there. We were just happy to be able to make it on the ship, as were all of our guests that week as well. We actually had to do a ship swap in the middle of the week where instead of continuing down the river on the ship we were supposed to be on, we got on another ship and then halfway through, we drove two hours to meet our original ship that we were supposed to be on. And everyone was so kind about it and just so happy that the trip was able to happen in general. And we did our best to keep as positive of an attitude as we could. And I think it really showed from at least how everyone talked to us about it afterwards. But there, there are challenges with the water levels for sure. [00:32:18] Speaker B: It's funny because we heard so much about low river levels, but on our cruise like this one, it was. The river was so high the ships couldn't make it under bridges and things that they needed to make it under. So yeah, that's. Yeah. [00:32:30] Speaker C: Dock. Because the things that's not there underwater. Right. Like you have to actually be able to moored to something. [00:32:38] Speaker B: You don't need the bus to Salzburg anymore. We're just going to hang a right here and head on in. Yeah. So Rebecca, I also want to ask about like your sense of. Because we went on one river cruise. Right. And I'm curious as you see the mix of folks on the river cruises that you've been on, like what's, what's the demographic like in terms of like age and are there, are there kids coming on these things? You know, like, I think that's a question we get a lot is, well, they say kids, but are kids really going to have a good time on this, on this adventure? So what's your perception of that? [00:33:07] Speaker A: Definitely it does vary week over week. Like it kind of just does depend on who signs up for which departure. But yes, there are always kids on the non adult exclusive trips. We do offer junior adventure nights at least once or twice, if not more each cruise. And I always loved doing the junior adventurer nights. I think it's so fun. I am down to hang out with any of the kids on the trip whenever it comes About. And I just, I think the value of having a product like this that really caters to children as, like, I've said this before. I think I remember saying this on your podcast before that. Anyone who can just talk to kids as if they are adults, not as adults, but they're their own person. They have just as big people as we do. And all of the adventure guides know how to do that. [00:34:07] Speaker B: Oh, they're amazing. [00:34:08] Speaker A: Yeah, we always try and do something fun for the kids. It depends on whatever they want. For our Junior Adventure Night, sometimes that's sitting and chatting and watching a movie, and sometimes it's like running around on the top deck playing hide and seek or whatever it is they want to do. And we also offer stuff in Destination 2 for the kids in Shonbrun. We take them to a maze in the gardens. So it is, it's. I, I love it. It is one of my favorite parts of the job as well. But yeah, I really do think, and especially with AMA waterways, they are so happy to have kids on board as well. [00:34:48] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. I would say that they were super excited to interact with the kids, particularly like at dinner. Right. Because you're the serving staff. The most interaction you have with them because you're off of the ship so much, you know, doing your excursions. They were so excited to like, interact with like Nathan and the other kids that were on board because they're away from their own kids and many of, you know, many of them have their own children. And so they're just, and they're used to, on the regular AMA sailings, they're really used to an either an only adult or almost only adult audience. And so when they get an ABD that's a, you know, obviously a non adult only one, they're getting at least, you know, a dozen kids or, you know, often more. And it's, I think, a totally different experience, you know, for them. [00:35:40] Speaker B: So, Rebecca, I want to ask you. We can't talk cruising without talking food. So I want to ask you. We have to talk food even if it's river cruising. And I will say Amma's food was amazing. But did you have any, like, stand out things either on the ship or, you know, as you are out in the city, you're like, oh, my gosh, if you're in Budapest or wherever you're, you must try this. What were some of those, those things that people shouldn't miss if they're going on one of these Danube river cruises? [00:36:05] Speaker A: Yes. The one that comes to mind first is on the Food tour in Budapest, but you can also just find it if you have. If you stay there before or after the trip. Is this dick, this dish called chicken paprikash. And. And it's like chicken with paprika over this, like, cream almost pasta. Like, to the American eye, it looks pasta. It's something else, but it's so good. Kind of like a sour cream vibe to it as well. I think I'm describing it poorly, but that's how I remember it. [00:36:36] Speaker B: You're describing it great. I'm heading to the airport. I'll see you later, Sam. [00:36:39] Speaker C: Yeah, Brian. I'm gonna say that sounds like a Brian dish to me. [00:36:42] Speaker B: That is a Brian dish right there for sure. [00:36:44] Speaker C: Like a Brian dish. [00:36:45] Speaker B: Paprika, chicken, something like pasta. It sounds like a stroganoff with chicken and paprika. I'm there for it. Yeah. [00:36:54] Speaker A: And then the, like, northern adjacent version of this is just like a spaetzle of any kind. [00:36:59] Speaker C: I love it. [00:37:00] Speaker A: As we described to the children as like Austrian Mac and cheese. [00:37:03] Speaker C: Yes. [00:37:04] Speaker A: So yummy. Whenever that is available, that is what I go for. I balance it with like a chicken Caesar on the amiships. That's my go to because we get such rich, awesome food in port, so you can really tailor it however you want. The ship has more flexibility than some of the restaurants we visit just by the nature of it. So it's great to have both types of offerings. Something a little more comfortable and familiar. But then you can push your boundaries a little bit on our excursions. But know you have some classics available on the ship for you as well. [00:37:40] Speaker C: Yeah, I'll say. I love the Wienerstitzel in Vienna and also the Wiener Schnitzel on the ship. And I was like, I have to compare both of these. Absolutely. [00:37:49] Speaker B: It was wiener, not wiener. [00:37:51] Speaker C: I know I'm saying wiener, but whatever. [00:37:56] Speaker B: Oscar Myers schnitzel over. All right. It's one of the things I love about the river cruise, though, is you get to actually, you know, you get time off the ship to go and like, we had lunch in Vienna. We had lots of food off the ship. And so you're getting that more local experience. Do you have any. I know we've had some folks ask us about sort of the, you know, the food allergy aspect. I find that harder for, you know, to deal with on the river cruises. But I don't know your. Your take on that as having seen guests. Like, I. We had one guest on our abd cruise who I think we were on an excuse. [00:38:29] Speaker C: It was Fine on the ship. [00:38:31] Speaker B: Yeah, fine on the ship. But off the ship it was a little harder. Right. And I don't know if that's been your experience or not. [00:38:36] Speaker A: It truly is something that we. It is always top of mind for every single meal. Like, we have a list of every single person with any sort of dietary restrictions and exactly what they're doing on that given day. And we know the menus for the places that we're going. The ship does an amazing job. [00:38:53] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:38:53] Speaker A: And that is a very controlled environment on the ship. So it's a non issue there. They do such a great job, like, comparable to the care that Disney Cruise Line puts in allergies on the ships. But when we're out in these ports, it definitely helps to have our guides who speak the local language doing that kind of talking. But we do. Sometimes we are stepping into the kitchen and being like, does this have nuts in it? And making sure that nothing is being put in front of someone with any question to it. Some destinations are easier than others, but it is always top of our mind. And it also gets sent to the restaurants ahead of time so they prepare for it too. We're just confirming. [00:39:46] Speaker B: It'S such a great point that you just made, which is if you go on your own, you're on your own. And that could be harder to navigate than having 1 abd guides who understand it and local guides on top of that who can speak the language and really, like, help unpack. Like, this person can't have this. Make them something without that. Like, that's. That's such a great. That's such a great point to have. [00:40:10] Speaker A: Yeah. And we had, we had most dietary restrictions spread throughout my season last season. And like, nothing. There was never a time where someone couldn't eat. You're going to be eating something. Some places it will be a pretty basic meal just based on the nature of that country's culture and like, what foods are readily available in the country. But everyone will be eating. And we'll be eating something that is safe for them to eat. That is for sure. [00:40:40] Speaker D: Are you listening to our show? Because you want to make the most out of your next vacation. [00:41:39] Speaker B: Karen had. Actually I have a different question from Karen's and then I want to ask Karen's. My question is what's the adventure that Disney's currently doing that you would love for them to pick up the phone and say hey Rebecca, we need a guy to go on this adventure and we know from off air it's not Costa Rica. So. But, but what's the, what's the adventure that you're like, they do it today and I really want to go on it. [00:42:03] Speaker A: Yeah, no, hate to Costa Rica. [00:42:05] Speaker B: That is because no, we've heard, we've heard fabulous things. In fact we had a guest on who she had done the ABD Costa Rica and then she had gone back to ABD on her own and she had messaged us we're getting ready to have her on show and she's like I miss my guy. So I said to Costa Rica, Costa. [00:42:21] Speaker C: Rica on her own and like kind of because she wanted to do some different things. Yeah, but she, yeah, she missed her. Her guy. [00:42:28] Speaker B: No zero hate. But I know, I know I would. [00:42:31] Speaker A: Take it as a guest. I'm just not the most outdoorsy gal and my managers know that for sure. I will not see any nature based trip on my schedule and that is fine with me. It's one of our more like standard and more frequently offered trips. But I would love to do the England and France trip. [00:42:49] Speaker C: Oh yeah, I think those are two. [00:42:51] Speaker A: Cities that I've thrived in on my own. I've spent a good chunk of time in both of them so I would love to bring that experience to the trip and I just find them so fascinating. I haven't worked in any in either of those cities, but really being able to dive into those two huge cities and compare and contrast them and create that trip as a whole, I would love to do at some point. I'm very happy with the trips I'm on too. Especially this new reimagined Central Europe trip I think is going to be pretty awesome because it's one of the first times. Or it's the new reimagined version that was similar to a previous version, but not the most recent version. It's reimagined, it's new. So I'm excited to go on that one later in my season as well. [00:43:42] Speaker C: Would you ever want to do any of the US based ones? Like, obviously there's the one in California that does all of the Disney stuff. Right. That's very like Disney focused. Or there's like the. There was like a Montana one. Right. Like there's some cool US based ones. I don't think we don't talk about them a lot. Although we have talked about the. The California one because we've had a couple of guests who've been on that. But, you know, would you want to do one of those or do you see this more as an opportunity to kind of see the world outside of. [00:44:13] Speaker A: The U.S. i would love to do the California one. It's typically reserved for people who live there. Just because it's the way the, like, behind the scenes logistics is built for that trip that it doesn't involve flying someone from D.C. to California because there's no need to do that. I would love to do it though, because I was born and raised there. I grew up 25 minutes from Disneyland for 18 years of my life. So I would love to do that trip eventually. But I'm not waiting on that one too much. Just. Yeah, just logistically. So I would. And that trip looks amazing. If I had my choice, it would be that one. I would not be a good fit for Arizona and Utah or Wyoming. That's awesome. I would love to go on it as a guest. That is not for me to guide. And they actually have a trip that's not offered currently. But these trips don't just like go away. They are put in the vault, if you will. [00:45:13] Speaker C: And then they sometimes get brought out of the vault and like their 20th anniversary. Right. They release the new VHS cover and take it out of the vault. [00:45:21] Speaker A: Exactly. So there's a trip that exists that like starts in Philly, goes through Gettysburg and ends in D.C. so that would. [00:45:28] Speaker C: Always be really like an American history tour. I love that. Yeah, exactly. [00:45:33] Speaker A: So I would always love to do that if it comes back. My parents own a bed and breakfast in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I live in D.C. philly's cool. So like, I would love to do that trip if it were to ever come back for sure. [00:45:45] Speaker B: So I love. I want to pull up. I want to pull up Karen's question, which was what destination do you wish ABD would add in the future? Such a great question. I actually had this. I had this on my list. But Karen, I want to give you credit for it. So Rebecca. [00:46:02] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:46:02] Speaker B: What's the place you wish ABD would go? [00:46:04] Speaker A: Yeah. One is like a half answer because I want it to come out of the vault. I really want to work the Antarctica trip. I would love to do the expedition cruise through the Drake Passage and step foot on Antarctica. So I would. That's my one that I would like to come back if. If I'm designing one. It's starting in Copenhagen. It's going to Oslo, Norway and Stockholm, Sweden. I want a Scandinavia land trip. I think that would be really, really cool. [00:46:40] Speaker C: That would be amazing. [00:46:41] Speaker B: Can we hit Finland too? Can we just add Finland in there? [00:46:43] Speaker A: Throw it in there. [00:46:44] Speaker C: Why not? Throw it in there. [00:46:45] Speaker B: Helsinki. [00:46:46] Speaker C: We'll sign up. We'll sign up. Yeah. [00:46:48] Speaker B: Well, sauna in Helsinki. Amazing. I mean, I love that. I love that. I would love to visit the Nordics and I think AB be a great way to go for that. [00:46:56] Speaker A: There are many like Disney Cruise Line itineraries that go up there. And that's partly why I say that because I loved stopping in those places on the Dream. But having like an Adventures by Disney trip where you're on the ground and like staying past 6pm that would be pretty cool. [00:47:13] Speaker C: Yeah. You get more time to really immerse yourself in those cities. Absolutely. That. That totally makes sense. What about Asia? Would you be interested? I know obviously ABD does some trips in Asia and China in jap. Would those be of interest to you? Do you see those in your future? Obviously right now you're doing more of Europe, but do you. Do you think you'd want to do that in the future? Maybe? [00:47:37] Speaker A: Yes. That is definitely a goal of mine. I think I need at least one or two personal trips under my belt. I've been to China and Japan when I was really young. I don't really remember too much of it. So definitely I know to be a good guide there, I would need to revisit that on my own. But totally I plan on sticking with this job for many years to come and having that type of growth which they do support. Being able to widen your worldview there and your experience working around the world as well. [00:48:10] Speaker C: That's awesome. [00:48:12] Speaker B: So I'm going to say that Larry has a question that I just want to preface with. I was slightly surprised to hear about Antarctica given your feelings about nature based tours. [00:48:19] Speaker C: But it's a little different. I know, I know ice and you're on a ship, it's different. [00:48:25] Speaker A: You can only be on land there for like two hours at a time. I can do that. [00:48:28] Speaker C: Right. [00:48:30] Speaker B: I don't, I don't know if you're able to answer this question or not Rebecca but in terms of like I know abd, some of the like stuff is split over to Nash, Nat Geo now and I don't know how much crossover there really is or not but, but do you have any sense of like, you know, if, if someone came to you and said well I want to do this trip, should I do it with ABD or Nat Geo? Like how you would sort of at least give them some structure to think through that question. [00:48:53] Speaker A: I think Nat Geo is great if it's, if you're someone who wants to dive in more to learning about the nature. That's what I associate Nat Geo with. That might be a somewhat limited perspective as I don't know the most about it but I think of it as like that's where you're bringing on like the more scientific speakers. We do offer some of that for our expedition cruising so I think they offer that at a slightly larger scale. It's still really high quality and a really great product and there's some overlap of guides as well but I don't really know too, too much about it. [00:49:36] Speaker C: Yeah, you know, so Karen Shelton went on a Nat Geo in Africa and her impression I think was kind of similar to yours. Now that was a hosted experience so it was with was four travel agents. But remember her saying it was very much more leaning towards the educational side of things and, and that wasn't a bad thing. It was just might have a slightly different target market than, than abd. Not that there isn't educational stuff. Absolutely. Obviously you know we talked about, especially in Europe, you're doing a lot of excursions where you know, there's talks about the history of where you are and the things that you're seeing and museums and, and palaces and things like that. So obviously there's a history focus there. But I think Nat Geo is a little bit more on the nature education bent than ABD is maybe. Yeah, that's at least the impression I got. [00:50:29] Speaker A: Yeah. There's also more opportunity to sprinkle in like Disney touches. Whether that's on a bus ride, like we would play a Disney trivia game. Whereas on a Nat Geo trip, you may just hear more commentary on like, the history or the nature. So I think if you're not looking for like Disney trivia, Disney songs on the bus, that kind of stuff, but you still want the same caliber of a trip, I believe Nat Geo would be a great option. Once again, I don't know too much about it, but that is my understanding. [00:50:57] Speaker B: So the real question, because we've been asked now by multiple people who knew you were coming on, like, are you going to be on our trip? So the real question is what? Are you back on the Danube again this season or do you have some new trips out? It sounds like maybe the Central Europe trip as well. But like, what, what are you. What's your. Your itineraries look like for. For the upcoming season? [00:51:15] Speaker A: Yes, I am back on the Danube, which is very exciting. There are three of them this summer, so I'm on all three of those. And then I stick around for. I think it's only like two days between them. And then I go to Central Europe and I do the last two trips of Central Europe. [00:51:35] Speaker B: Yeah, nice. [00:51:37] Speaker A: A little bit of a lighter load for me this year. But we don't get our fall schedules or like winter schedules until midway through the summer. But I'm very happy with those two destinations, especially with the new stops that'll be added on that Central Europe trip. It's some places I haven't been, but they really let us settle in our destination knowledge that we have and we've been building throughout the last year and get to showcase that again for this upcoming summer. [00:52:07] Speaker B: Yeah, nice. [00:52:08] Speaker C: So we did. We have an important question from our friend ct, and that is, are there chocolate souffles on an ABD river cruise? I don't remember if there were. [00:52:21] Speaker A: I don't know about a souffle, but you will. There are many dessert options. I'm trying to think if I like, you know, like the mousse cups. Is that what you mean, like. Or what is it? [00:52:31] Speaker C: What else is like Apollo? They have the. [00:52:35] Speaker B: It's like. It's a pastry that bakes and it's very. [00:52:38] Speaker C: But it's like molten y. And it's kind of like a lava cake, but it comes in a little like ceramic, like. [00:52:44] Speaker B: And you, you poke. [00:52:46] Speaker C: You poke a hole a long time to cook. Order at the beginning of the meal and then they get it at the end. Yeah, you do. I feel like they had like lava cake type stuff. But not a souffle specifically, if I'm wrong. [00:52:58] Speaker A: But there are plenty of excellent desserts. We will keep you fed. Sweet treats and, and regular meals as well, for sure. [00:53:06] Speaker B: So Sam, we've got one question I think we should really undertake to answer and not put on Rebecca's plate. CT asked a very good question. Just about. Can we talk for a moment about the tipping of the adventure guides? Especially in light of hearing the crazy amount of hours these amazing cast members. I just want to overemphasize like a lot of time. But truly the ABD adventure guides are some of the best cast that we have ever encountered through Disney. And so I mean it's not to say there's not amazing cast and crew on the cruise line. There absolutely are. But you really get to know these adventure guys because there's like five of them and that's, that's it. That's the whole compliment of Disney staff on these cruises. And you're with them day in, day out. They swap you whatever excursion you're on. Suddenly you're with a different guy and you get to know him. Sam. Tipping. Why don't I, I, I, I don't know. [00:53:53] Speaker C: I don't know. Because on the river cruise it's included. The tips are included on the river cruise. So on the I, I, you know what, I'm gonna, we're gonna get back to you because we are going to have Danny on in a couple of weeks and we're going to talk to Karen Shelton and maybe invite her on to come and talk a little bit maybe at the end of that show about tipping because we, like I said, we have not done a land based abd and in that situation you are tipping your guides. It's tipping is not included. And so that's the one piece of information I hesitate to say. But yes, tip your guides. I can say that tip your guides rides on a land base, but not on a river base. [00:54:34] Speaker B: Well, but let me ask Rebecca, let me ask it. Not amount or anything like that. But do folks give you tips at the end of the river cruises or. [00:54:41] Speaker C: Do they, are we allowed to? [00:54:42] Speaker A: Oh yeah. [00:54:43] Speaker C: Okay. [00:54:44] Speaker A: Yeah, some people do. I'd never like. [00:54:47] Speaker B: Yeah, it's not expected. [00:54:48] Speaker A: It, yeah, it is included in the rivers which is great because it would get complicated if not. But you, you definitely can. You can. It's totally up to whatever anyone feels. But yeah, the, we don't feel any type of way about it. [00:55:04] Speaker B: Okay. [00:55:05] Speaker A: For the rivers. Yeah. [00:55:06] Speaker C: But it is expected for tipping on the land based cruises, right? [00:55:10] Speaker A: Yeah, they give, for the land cruises they do give like a suggested tip amount like per person per day that's listed when, when you book or even pre booking. So there, there are like ballparks, parks set up for folks as well. [00:55:26] Speaker C: Yeah, that's helpful. You know, one thing I need to tell people because I know that there's still room on the river. [00:55:33] Speaker D: Well, hold on. [00:55:33] Speaker B: I was gonna, I was gonna. I'm getting there, Sam. Okay, one second. I want to put up Karen's comment first, which is she wanted to point out that there are some incredible Disney visa offers for the Danube and Ryan river abds departing this summer. That combined with a discount that she has through my path Unwinding Travel. So if you have been thinking about doing an Adventures by Disney, if Rebecca wasn't enough to convince you. [00:55:54] Speaker C: Right. [00:55:55] Speaker B: I guarantee Danny will be. So just get your wallet warmed up together. [00:55:59] Speaker C: It's like, forget it. Yeah. And so Karen's talking about for sailings this summer, so obviously. And that's not to say that they don't do sailings outside the summer, but that's the time where there's the most options. Right. As Rebecca sort of pointed out, the ABD is most active in the summer and then also over the holidays. Right. Because that's when people are off from school. So those are the best times to book a river cruise. With Adventures by Disney, you're gonna have the most options. But I also have to point out that July 4, 2026. Now Rebecca doesn't know where, where in the world she's going to be with ABD in July of 2026. [00:56:38] Speaker B: But we are going to see if Karen can can put in a little request on the back end and maybe see if we can get a Rebecca or Danny or both. [00:56:44] Speaker C: Like yeah, we can at least ask. [00:56:47] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:56:47] Speaker C: But there is still room on this river cruise that we have booked. That is the DCL Duo podcast cruise Ver know. So if you are interested you're watching this or listening to this, please contact karen shelton@dclduomypathunwinding.com and let her know. [00:57:07] Speaker B: Or to mypathunwinding.com DCLDUO Karen's here saying early booking discounts may still be available for summer 2026. So. [00:57:19] Speaker C: Right. [00:57:19] Speaker A: But. [00:57:19] Speaker C: So if you're interested in joining us on our our ABD that is going to be hitting Belgium and Holland. We're super excited. Definitely reach out to Karen and let her know that you're interested in coming with us and we can make it happen. I know there's still space available because somebody, one of our patreons literally just booked within the past week and they're. And they were still able to get an early booking discount. So there as. As Karen said there might actually be early booking discounts still available. [00:57:52] Speaker B: Come try something new with us together and exactly. We'll support each other through this journey. [00:57:58] Speaker C: And our security team is all is available. They're coming with us. So the DCL duo senior will be on that cruise as well. So if you've been. If you've got a hankering to meet Tracy and Michael, they'll be on with us of course. [00:58:12] Speaker B: And the moral family will be. [00:58:13] Speaker C: And the morals who we've talked to who got me these as I mentioned Orange Bird and and Figment. [00:58:18] Speaker B: Rebecca, before we wrap up the show, what's next for you personally? Are you doing any travel on your on your own even I mean totally divorced from Disney. Are you going to head out any place before you, you know, either before you start back to your summer, you know, summer schedule or planning some time in Europe on your own? [00:58:36] Speaker A: I've been really enjoying my time here in D.C. i am sticking around. We have our like week off this summer. So I'm sticking around in destination then. But no personal travels at the moment. I've been kind of milking my like ABD money from the summer for as long as I can. I'm just relaxing as much as possible. But yeah, I went to London and spent some time with some friends outside of London as well after the Oktoberfest cruises and spend more time in Germany around Munich and a little bit more as well. So yeah, I've been enjoying. Been enjoying my time in D.C. because part of what makes this job so great too is the space it creates in the rest of your schedule for the rest of the year to be able to spend so much time with family and growing my relationships here in D.C. as well, which then makes it easier to go off and be fully committed and working with adventures by Disney in the summer. So no trips on the book just yet, but my list is always growing of where I want to go. For sure. [00:59:46] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:59:47] Speaker C: I gotta ask. Favorite show that you've gotten to work backstage in the past year? I have to ask this. [00:59:55] Speaker A: I was working on a show with the Washington National Opera. It was an opera version of the Jungle Book, so a little bit of a joining of my entertainment there. So that was really cool. And to have that in D.C. and local as well. It was fun. It was lots of fun. And I do enjoy working with kids whether that's. We had kids in the cast as well, which was cool. And then a lot of Our audiences were for theater for young audiences, too. So that was pretty cool. [01:00:25] Speaker C: Oh, I love that. I love that. [01:00:26] Speaker B: Rebecca. Well, Rebecca, well, before we say thank you, just a brief announcement for all of you out there watching. We will be back on Monday night next week, 5:30pm Pacific, 8:30pm Eastern. I was supposed to say central. God, now. Totally new problem I'm facing. We will be back next week. We will have Wesley joining us, who is a gold DCL cruiser who had an interesting kind of lots of firsts on a recent cruise. And so we're going to be talking to Wesley about that, excited to have have him on the show as a live guest. We will then be dark as a show for about a week for spring break as we head on the Treasure, returning to the treasure for the first time since the maiden voyage for us. So we'll be a bit Moana again. [01:01:11] Speaker C: Again, again. [01:01:12] Speaker B: We'll have some recorded shows for you that week, but we will not be doing a live show. And then we might have a special show in there as well. We're kind of waiting to see how things go and more on that later. Later. And then we will be back on Monday, the 21st with Danny, adventure Guy Danny. So to talk a little bit more about adventures by Disney with Danny. He is. I am. I think you're in for a treat. If you love Rebecca, you're gonna love Danny. He's great. And so we can't wait to talk to Danny about that. And then there was one other thing I was gonna say, and I don't remember what it is now. So that's, that's, that's the schedule. That's the schedule coming up. Stay tuned. Oh, we'll be back probably live the week that we have, Danny. We're trying to figure out if we're going to record our thoughts on the Treasure on board or just do it as a live show that same week toward the end of the week. So stay tuned for that. But for now, Rebecca, thank you so much for coming back. Thank you so much for being a repeat guest on our show. We love having you on and we love following your adventures and so got to have you back at some point. [01:02:13] Speaker C: To talk more after next season. We got to come back. And for folks who want to follow along with Rebecca on her adventures, she is at DC2 to Disney on all the socials, right on Instagram is where we follow you, Rebecca. [01:02:30] Speaker A: Yes. And if you ever don't find that, it's because I finally changed it to Adventure Guide. Rebecca. I don't know when or if that'll happen. It may happen at some point. I said that last time and it's still D.C. to Disney. But I might change it this year. We'll see. [01:02:43] Speaker B: All right, well you let us know when it changes and we'll make sure our audience is updated because I know there's quite a few followers out there. And if you are out doing an ABD this summer and you see Rebecca on board, please say hello to her. I know she loves to to to hear from our listeners and she might. [01:02:58] Speaker C: Even give you some rapid fire questions. I don't know. [01:03:00] Speaker B: There you go. [01:03:01] Speaker A: Always have those in my back pocket. [01:03:03] Speaker C: She always has. She needs an icebreaker. It's a rapid fire question. [01:03:09] Speaker A: I love talking to all your listeners though. Even even on the smaller 150 person ship on the Danube there were some of your listeners who came up to me. So keep it coming. [01:03:19] Speaker B: I love it, love it, love it. [01:03:21] Speaker C: That's awesome. [01:03:21] Speaker B: Thanks again Rebecca. We will hope to have you back soon. Soon. [01:03:25] Speaker A: Thanks so much.
