[00:00:00] Speaker A: I want to bring up these fun comments. Wesley saying, baymax, are you guys. I love that. And then this one is Nathan is saying, modern mouse. [00:00:11] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. That took me so far back. [00:00:14] Speaker A: That's a deep. [00:00:14] Speaker B: Kids don't even know. The kids don't even understand. [00:00:18] Speaker A: They have no idea what we're talking about. Hello, everyone. Welcome back to another live bonus episode of the DCL duo podcast, brought to you by my path unwinding travel. I am your host today, Sam, but I am not solo. I am joined by my friend CT, Tinfoil Mouse ears. Hello and welcome to the show again, CT. [00:00:52] Speaker B: It's so great being here, Sam. It's so great being here. How are you doing? [00:00:55] Speaker A: I'm doing great. It's great to have you here. I have to mention that we are also brought to you. This show is also brought to you by the WDW magazine's DCL magazine, which is coming out soon. If you're interested in getting all of the information about Disney Cruise line in paper form, in magazine form, just like you get your WDW magazine, make sure to subscribe online. You can show your interest by going to wdw dash magazine.com. and thank you to them for sponsoring today's bonus show. All right, well, we have so much. Listen, I just winged that. ZT. [00:01:35] Speaker B: That's your best Brian. That is your best Brian I've seen. [00:01:39] Speaker A: I love it. I love it. I want to tell you that he did not actually give me the ad read for today's show. So I just totally winged that. So thank you, WDW magazine and DCL magazine specifically for being our sponsor. We're super excited. But yeah, CT, we have so much to talk about. We've got people watching. I know. Live right now, we've got Wesley saying, well, well, well. I wonder what he is wondering about. So with that, we. I think we should. We should dive into the show. I'm going to share the PowerPoint. I want to put this out there, that this PowerPoint is actually a collaboration between myself and CT. I actually created the original version of it, sent it off to CT, and then he spruced it up, the PowerPoint whiz that he is, to make it look all beautiful. I'm not going to put it in presentation mode because then it does these weird things. I'm just going to put it in slide mode so that I can actually see where we're going. But I'm super excited. Thank you, CT, for your help with this PowerPoint. [00:02:43] Speaker B: Oh, no problem. No problem. It was a good collab. [00:02:47] Speaker A: It was a good collab. All right, so first we got to start with the fact that like in the middle of the night last night, I mean, we, we woke up this morning to like more announcements about the Disney adventure than I think I expected. I don't know. Did you expect as much as we got today, CTA? [00:03:06] Speaker B: You know, in some places I expected more, but in some places, first of all, it's. Isn't it Disney's hundred 101st birthday today? [00:03:16] Speaker A: Oh my goodness. Happy birthday, Disney, right? [00:03:19] Speaker B: I think it is. Someone will correct us to 100%, I'm sure, in the comments, but I think it's a birthday today. And boy, the news. Like parks news, DVC News, DCL News. So while there was a ton of announcements today, the adventure stuff, there was a lot for us to peel through in order to get to all the answers, if that makes sense. So between it was spread out on the Parks blog has got a great article talking about the six must do experiences on the Disney adventure. The social media out of Singapore, Disney Cruise Line had a bunch of information. I know there was a press release. So there's a lot for us to. We've got it broken down for everybody tonight. [00:04:03] Speaker A: Yes. And I will tell you that all the stuff we're presenting to you came from a bunch of different sources. Like there's information, as CT mentioned, from the Parks blog. We also got a special media release that was sent to us via email from Disney Cruise line that also linked to some, I think, press release articles that I don't think are publicly available but are available to media. And so some of the information that I've got in here is from that. It's all public information. Nothing is embargoed at this point at all. All of it has been released to vary various places. But yeah, we have a lot to get through. Let's start with. Let's start with just like by the numbers. I wanted. I wanted to put this out there because this is not new, but this is sort of a reminder of what this ship is, right? This is 208 gross tons, I think you had said just the other day on Wes's show. For those who haven't listened, CT was on the DCl dude show just this past week prognosticating about the adventure before this came out. But I think you mentioned that the wish is 140,000 wishes. [00:05:06] Speaker B: About 140. There's a lot of speculation out there that the new ships coming from the horizon d 23 announcement are looking at about 160 gross tons. So it gives you an idea of where Disney is today, where they want to go to get to a big ship and then how big this ship is. [00:05:24] Speaker A: Right? Very, very big. Yeah. So 6800 or 6700 passengers, approximately, approximately 2500 crew members. So that's, that's what this ship looks like when it's at full capacity. And then you can see right away from this picture. Spoiler alert. There's a roller coaster on the top of the ship. You can just, you can see it from the side view. That's crazy. We'll get to that. But let's, let's start with some more nitty gritty details. Sailing dates. They still haven't released all of the sale. The sailing dates we heard from these announcements, they are going be three and four night sailings. They are going to be sailings to nowhere. Right. They're going from Singapore to. No. And they're going to just sail around. So they're like the, as you predicted, they are like the Disney magic at sea sailings that Disney did out of the UK post pandemic or in the reopening from the pandemic. And similar to, not exactly the same as, but similar to the sailings from Australia and New Zealand that they have been doing. Shorter sailings and sailings to nowhere. We do know the maiden voyage, December 15, 2025. It's right there on the screen at that presentation that was done and bookings open to the public. That means everyone. December 10. [00:06:44] Speaker B: But we've got real quick, real quick on this slide. [00:06:47] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:06:48] Speaker B: That December 15 is after the destiny. [00:06:50] Speaker A: Yes. And this is where you are. [00:06:53] Speaker B: This is where you arrived from. Where. So I guess I've been both right and wrong on this one. I did spend a lot of time talking about how in the heck is the ship going to sail when they said it was? It is going in 2025, but it is after the destiny. [00:07:08] Speaker A: Yes. And I, I will say as, as it, as we had been waiting and waiting and waiting, I came to believe that the, the destiny and the adventure would be sailing around the same time. Uh, because there was no way without having released itineraries that we were going to see this come out, you know, significantly before the destiny. Just not clearly going to happen. Well, so here I have on the screen the castaway club release date. So as early as Thursday, December 5 at 08:00 a.m. singapore time. So local Singapore time, which is actually Wednesday. Remember, Singapore is 12 hours ahead of the east coast, or. No, sorry, 13, 13 hours ahead, I guess, of the east coast once we hit December. So Wednesday, December 4, at 07:00 p.m. and then Golden Oaks is that same day. Gold castaway club members are Friday, December 6, and Thursday, December 5. Silver, December 9, December 8, so on and so forth. So, you know, I didn't see if there was a pearl date out there. If there isn't. If there is, it would be the day before for platinum. I got this screenshot, and I can't remember from where, but I didn't see a pearl date out there. But like I said, either is the same as platinum or it's the day before. All right, let's talk. Let's get. We're going to get right into it now. We're talking. We're going to talk in categories. Some of these are in categories of theming and some of spaces, and some of these are in categories of, like, dining, kids clubs, sort of that. That kind of categories. It's kind of hard to do. This ship is so huge. We've got like 30 slides to get through us. So I'm going to try and go through things quickly. But, yeah, it is. There's just a lot. And somebody's made a comment that this is still not quite as big as an icon class ship. This is Wesley. He says for context, still not as big as an icon class ship. So, okay, this is the imagination garden. This is what Disney has called the heart of the ship. We have seen some photo or renderings, I should say, of this before, but we've got a few more renderings than we had previously. I don't remember if we had this one before. CT, do you remember? [00:09:34] Speaker B: I think I've seen this one a couple of times before. I don't think this is quite new imagery from Disney. I think that this came when they announced the different neighborhoods throughout the ship. [00:09:45] Speaker A: And this seems to be like, this is sort of an open air, like Central park we talk about on the Oasis class ships is sort of an open air venue. But this, to me, feels like the atrium. I mean, I know it sounds weird to say that, but this is sort of the hub of the ship. It's different than on the other ships. I don't. I know we have. There's another hub we'll talk about a little bit later on, but this, to me, feels like this is sort of, sort of the central part of the ship. [00:10:13] Speaker B: I 100% agree. And one of the things that's kind of different is Disney did not announce an atrium character. So when you start to look at the. The way there's the cascading staircases on both sides of that. What looks to be. Is that a waterfall cascading? [00:10:33] Speaker A: That's what water it could be. I guess it could be tile, but I think it's a water feature. [00:10:39] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. I think it is as well. So this is where people will be taking pictures or be hanging out or coming into the ship. I also can spot gramatales off there on the side. You can see that in the artwork. And we'll get to some of the restaurants later. But, yeah, I think it's meant to take a picture of that. Big, grand picture of the castle. [00:11:02] Speaker A: Yes. [00:11:03] Speaker B: I think they want the castle to be the feature on this ship. [00:11:05] Speaker A: Totally. And we know there's a stage. Right. Because as we get to the. The next slide I'm having, she'll have to click back on there. As we get to the next slide, we've been told what shows these are. I've listed. We've listed three of the shows that are going to be. This is like the deck party show. Let's set sail. Right? So that's like a sail away party. So this is not a typical, what Disney cruise line has done in the past is your deck party on the pool deck, right. This is a little different. This is deck party shows on a stage in a sort of central outdoor space. So Captain Jack and Siren Queen, I imagine that's a pirate deck party kind of a show. And then Mickey's color spin party, which we've heard about on the Disney wonder, has been sort of a nineties themed, you know, colorful with music deck party as well. We have here. This is going to be in the same place. This is the interesting part. This is going to be in that imagination garden. It's at the Garden stage, as it says in the slide. This is Avengers assemble. Now the question, I don't know if this is going to be the same as heroes unite or if this is going to be different or maybe something similar to Heroes Unite, which is the deck party already on the wonder at times and on the dream for Marvel Day at sea cruises. [00:12:39] Speaker B: So I think it's meant to be different because it's going to tell a little bit of a different story. I think the other thing to highlight here as we talk about all these shows that are going to occur in the imagination garden, and we'll get to it later. But as you look at the top deck of this ship, there really isn't the same traditional stage and space that we see. Out of the matter of fact, I don't know if I saw funnel vision. [00:13:05] Speaker A: There will be movies up on. I can't remember if it's. I think it's in the Toy story splash, kind of the Toy story zone up on the top deck. It didn't show in the renderings, but there is going to be. They did mention playing movies up there in one of the things I read, but they didn't show it. [00:13:23] Speaker B: But I haven't seen other than where. And we'll get to it later. But I'm a very excited for the. Is it the wayfarer space? Yes, and we'll come to that. But I think it's. I think this is meant to be where a lot of that stuff happens in the center of the ship. And as they talk about how this was going to be a theme park at sea, when we look at Disney's theme parks and that hub and spoke model, you can almost kind of see it forming as we go through the ship and talk about the ship here. [00:13:54] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Now there are people who are nervous about the ship. We'll get to some of those. Those comments a little later. But I understand there's a lot of trepidation about this ship. It's very, very different. As we noted, the wish was very different, and people seem to like her. But this is. Yeah, this is a different take. You can see there's some. There's heroes and villains. Of course, in this show, we've got Loki and Thor. It looks like fighting. We've got taskmaster fighting black widow. Right? So we got. And black panthers flying through the. I mean, we've got some great characters. Miss Marvel is out there, of course. Captain. Well, it's. It's Sam as Captain America, so. Sam Wilson. So. Yeah, really. This looks like it could be a really great show. Again, going to happen in the garden stage in the imagination garden. The thing that I am. This is flabbergasting me. I am, like, blown away. I think this is awesome. Super excited for this one. CT. This is Baymax super exercise Expo. So Baymax and friends are going to be, I think, from what I read, leading people in, like, an exercise class, like, I'm down. [00:15:12] Speaker B: It's Baymax. I'll do it. I'm down. [00:15:15] Speaker A: I just. This is, like, kind of hilarious and kind of awesome at the same time. I don't know what else to say about it except saying, yeah, this is just fantastic. Okay. As we sort of, we highlighted a little bit earlier, there is no. We don't think there is an atrium character. I. This is still the imagination garden, but this, to me, is like, this is the closest thing, I think, to an atrium character, 100%. Yeah, we've got sorcerer's apprentice Mickey as a topiary. At least that's what he looks like to me. A topiary in the imagination garden. I'm digging the sorcerer Mickey vibes. [00:15:59] Speaker B: So there's a neat vibe there where they can swap it out easily or dress it up easily for other events. I don't know. This is one where I'm excited to see what Disney is doing here because I think there's something everyone else isn't thinking of quite yet when they show this. I'm also going to take credit for a point on this one because I did predict sorcerer Mickey on Wes's show. [00:16:22] Speaker A: You did. You did. I want to bring up these fun comments. Wesley saying Baymax, are you guys. I love that. And then this one is Nathan is saying modern mouse. [00:16:35] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. That should be so far back. [00:16:38] Speaker A: That's a decent. [00:16:38] Speaker B: Kids don't even know. The kids don't even understand. [00:16:41] Speaker A: They have no idea what we're talking about. But it's awesome. Oops, I. Did I go, oh, no, I got, I clicked on the right one. Okay, next area we're going to talk about Disneyland, Discovery reef. Now, this is kind of another, let's call it, hub on the, on the ship. So it is a open air, I believe, retreat, evoking favorite aquatic characters and nautical stories from Disney and Pixar, including the Little Mermaid, Lilo and Stitch, finding Nemo and Luca. This vibrant outdoor hub will be located toward the back of the ship and open to the sky and stars seven decks above. And so it's a celebration of between water and sky. At night, the space will be theatrically lit to create an incandescent environment. So you're going to feel like it's sort of this, like, bioluminescent, incandescent. And off of here will be several of the quick serve restaurants, and there's also some staterooms will actually have views of the Disney discovery reef. So we'll talk about dining later, but I just wanted to mention that there's going to be several dining locations off of this. This hub. [00:17:59] Speaker B: This just looks like the chillest vibe, right? Like, yeah, like a hot day. I just want to, like, you know, if you're the kind of cruiser that likes to, like, grab your book. [00:18:08] Speaker A: Yeah. And grab a cup of coffee and just kind of sit. [00:18:12] Speaker B: You can see the sun, but there's some shaded areas and stuff and places like that around here. This is, you know, my wife and I, we always bring like a deck of cards when we go cruising. And we even saw some folks playing Sky Joe. If you don't know what Sky Joe is like, get on that. It's amazing. But this is where you see families like that, like to do that sort of thing and just enjoy time together in a space. And I like the vibe here. I do. [00:18:36] Speaker A: Yeah, I like it, too. I feel like it's also going to be really good people watching space, you know? Yeah, yeah. [00:18:43] Speaker B: Especially the restaurants. There's always a bite to eat. [00:18:44] Speaker A: There's always like, yeah, yeah, exactly. And it's definitely giving that under the sea, you know, vibe. As, as Alicia saying in the comments. Sorry, I'm not. It's hard. I don't know how Brian does this. Pulling up the comments at the same time is going through the PowerPoint very, very difficult. [00:18:59] Speaker B: It's because you're being both Sam and Brian right now. [00:19:01] Speaker A: I am. I'm being Sam. [00:19:02] Speaker B: Sometimes he lets you go and he's taking care of the clicks. [00:19:05] Speaker A: Yes, absolutely. Absolutely. That's definitely hard. So, yeah, cool space. Well, let's talk about a different water, water themed space. You mentioned it just a little bit ago. Yeah. [00:19:16] Speaker B: I want one of these rooms. I want a room that overlooks this space. [00:19:19] Speaker A: Oh, my goodness. Yeah. Yeah. Tell us what you think of Wayfinder. Wayfinder Bay. [00:19:25] Speaker B: Okay, so this is a top deck area that's, you know, it's designed for the show. There's been a lot of water shows that come out of some of the other cruise lines. I think this is Disney. I don't think they're going full on into the water show like some of the other cruise lines do. But this is them. Like, just taking an opportunity. It's a nice dual use space like we see on the cruise ships today, but they've only really identified the one show for it. But it's male Moana. Do you need another show out here besides Moana? I don't think so. [00:19:53] Speaker A: I don't think so. [00:19:54] Speaker B: And if you could just go back real quick, one slide. I don't want to spend too much time, but imagine having the room that's like three or four decks up here and you're watching from your own balcony, sipping a little coffee or tea and enjoying the show from your deck. Like, I just. This is a primo space. This is. I'm sure those are concierge rooms. Right. Because I'm looking forward out. They kind of have that funnel view look without, but it seems like it's better protected. Like, I can see what's happening on the balcony, but not what's happening in the room. [00:20:25] Speaker A: Yeah, you know, I don't know if it'll be. These will be concierge. This is on the back of the ship, I believe, because that's going to be looking out the back. The back. And so, yeah, I mean, it could. It very well could be, but I'm not sure that it will be. I wanted to mention there's also going to be. So that pool that we see is going to be a pool, like, when it's not the show going on, and it has a jumbo led screen. So this is actually a potential funnel vision type place as well. And so it will be. Yes, it'll be performance venue, interactive events, but also just a regular pool. And I believe that there's going to be a bar. I can't remember the name, but I think there's going to be a bar in this area as well as you could imagine. People are going to be sort of lounging during the day around the pool. And so there's got to be. Gotta be at least 1 bar nearby. [00:21:20] Speaker B: I just, I love this space. This is one I'm excited for. I know it's, uh, thematically, it's a little more conservative than a lot of the other spaces on this ship. And I just like the idea of use for it. Right. Is just perfect. And, like, just imagine, like, you're sitting out there and Moana's talking about that line on the horizon, right. As you look off in the distance and enjoy your trip, right? [00:21:42] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. But Alicia's giving me my, my favorite comments so far about this, which is just need. Hey. Hey. Popping out of a coconut and screaming. [00:21:53] Speaker B: Absolutely. I love Wesley's comment here, too. Talking about, like, it would be great if it was fantasmic, right? [00:21:58] Speaker A: Oh, yes. It's very Disney fantasmic of them, if true. Yes. And then, and then Nathan saying, it's like, the Alani rooms that overlook the luau. It's a free show. Okay. It's prepaid. True, Nathan. And then Wesley is. I think his impression is the same as ours, that guests can swim in this water during the day, and then it turns into a performance venue in the evening as well. So, yeah, I totally agree. I think that's what the vibe that they're going for. Oops. I hope I got to the right. I'm good. Yes. Okay, next area we're going to talk about is town square. So I put in parentheses, princess themed entertainment hub. And the reason I did that is because there's so many things to remember with this ship. It's hard to keep them all straight because it's, like, humongous to me. [00:22:50] Speaker B: So this one. Oh, sorry. Go ahead. [00:22:52] Speaker A: No, no. This is. This is like a. When I first saw the ceiling, it made me feel like grand hall vibes, but then it's got all this seating right in the middle. [00:23:02] Speaker B: This is the way Sarabi and Luna should have been done. [00:23:05] Speaker A: Oh, I love that idea. Yeah. [00:23:08] Speaker B: Right. You can see this is its own space now. Granted, it's a bigger ship, so it gives them the flexibility to do it. But, like, this is what we. This is what the other area was meant to be. This is the D lounge. This is the place where you're going to go for family activities, entertainment, games and activities. This is all of that. And then doubles is a great spot to sit and have a glass of wine or a coffee with your family or whatever it is. This is that Luna D lounge space that we enjoy on the other ships today. [00:23:41] Speaker A: Yeah. And it looks like off of this lounge, according to one of the media releases that I'm looking at, off of this space will also be several family activity lounges. The Walt Disney theater, some of the rotational restaurants will kind of be off of this hub as well. So this is kind of a central. A central area. It kind of reminds me of a little hub and spoke from the parks. Right. This is a round space with other spaces sort of around it. And actually, within town square, they did note there will be D lounge. So there will actually be in addition to this. So I think you're right. This space could be used for that stuff also. But there will be a delounge. [00:24:23] Speaker B: This is also a great spot to do, like, a princess tea. [00:24:27] Speaker A: Yes. Very good. [00:24:29] Speaker B: Like, I know I'm missing the name of that event. [00:24:31] Speaker A: Yes. Like the royal. Royal. [00:24:33] Speaker B: Yes. A royal tea gathering. Yes. Perfect. Like, this is a great spot for that with the decor and. Right. And it's off. It's away from everything else. I don't have to worry about, you know, shuffling up a restaurant with it. You could do the princess kind of meet and greet with her. Several of the princesses there. I like this. [00:24:48] Speaker A: Totally. And I think Nathan's agreeing with you. More open cabaret kind of set up. So you could have. Yeah, you could have a show or event happen in this space, or this could just be hangout space. Yeah, absolutely. Okay, so now coming off of this town square, so with, obviously, all the princesses in the ceiling, we get to the beautiful Walt Disney theater. I love that they have kept the name. It is still going to be the Walt Disney theater. And they've told us what the two shows, the two main stage shows are going to be. Remember, these are only three, four night sailings. So it would not be surprising to me if they only had two shows plus a variety act or two in the Walt Disney Theater, especially because they're going to have that Moana water show thingamajig. Plus all these deck shows. I'm calling them deck shows in the imagination garden. So seize the adventure. I don't think that's a surprise. It's the ship is called the adventure. Right. And seize the adventure is now, you know, it's the shorter show. It's on the wish, it's going to be on the treasure, it's going to be on the destiny. It's a good sort of repeat quick show. And then the really cool thing, though, is this art of remember, this is a new show. It is created exclusively for Disney Cruise Line, featuring Wally and Eve with a bunch of other characters from a bunch of other musicals, including Coco. [00:26:13] Speaker B: Obviously, I am absolutely jazzed for this show for a couple of reasons. The first one, Sam, is, you know, all of my guesses in prognostications have been completely off because I have not predicted an original show for any of these ships. [00:26:30] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:26:30] Speaker B: But I am excited to see, while the wish class was absent of all of these original shows, it goes to show they have not abandoned them for this redo model of the remixes of the classics that they already know and love, like believe in dreams. And all of those shows still have a special place, I think, in DCL fans hearts. And it shows me that they're not giving up on that. And I hope that as we see the kind of the ships find where they're at and rotate around, we'll see more of this. And it's actually, yeah, we're going to talk a lot more about this in the coming weeks. [00:27:10] Speaker A: Yeah. The one thing I think is really the big question mark for me is, are Wally and Eve going to be puppets? Are they going to be animatronics? Are they going to be represented in some different way? Are they really going to just be people in some kind of costume? Like, this is, I think, because conceptually, we've seen Coco done as a puppet in Disneyland. We've seen frozen characters as puppets on Disney cruise line stages, as well as, of course, Sven and Maximus and other characters. And they do puppetry. Really amazing. But I've also seen them do animatronics for things or remote. I don't know how you want to call it, really robots for, you know, r BB eight and other, you know, kinds of actual, you know, robot characters. [00:28:02] Speaker B: So if I can here real quick, two things I want to hit is one is I hope they're puppets and I hope they're puppets because the cast and crew of the Walt Disney theater do such. I mean, we've talked about this before. Sam Max puppetry. [00:28:18] Speaker A: Yes. [00:28:19] Speaker B: CogSworth the puppetry in these shows is. Those are heartwarming moments that we absolutely love and give create an opportunity within the Disney portfolio to let players shine in the way that they can act. And I don't want to replace the recognition of that talented with another robot. [00:28:41] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:28:42] Speaker B: With an animatronic. [00:28:43] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you. [00:28:45] Speaker B: And then the second piece of it is we've seen the animatronic on, like, rise of the resistance not go well in b and b mode. And I don't want a b mode experience out of a musical. [00:28:55] Speaker A: Right. Or Olaf in Arendelle on the wish. [00:28:58] Speaker B: Yep. Perfect. Yep. [00:28:59] Speaker A: Yeah. So, yeah, so they have, so Alicia asked, do they have any animatronics on any of the ships currently? And the answer is, as far as I know, it's only Olaf on the wish. And there's always issues with that Olaf. And so you, you end up not having Olaf at your dinner in Arendelle and, and, you know, they. And same with actually the Olaf's royal picnic. I forget what they do when he's not working. But yeah, it's really not a great, a great thing. So. Yeah, I like this comment from Nathan. Wally loves watching singing in the rain. So here he's going to be showing Eve the movie of Coco. I love that idea. [00:29:38] Speaker B: I love, I hope that that's what it is. Like, maybe Waldy and Eve are on this path talking about he just has this unconditional love that comes from love at first sight. Right. Like, that's the story of. And I would hope that, I mean, they're showing us Coco because that. Remember that. But it looks like Aladdin. And we're going to see some other great. Some other great Walt Disney brands lend their self to this particular show that I think is going to make it truly special. [00:30:05] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:30:06] Speaker B: Little mermaid, Aladdin. I'm looking at the. [00:30:08] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. A bunch of other characters that are going to be in the show. It's not just what's pictured in this artist's rendering, but Taryn is also jumping in to say, yep, no, Olaf on the wish a few weeks ago, and we didn't have him on our first sailing either. And I know that she was on one of the very early sailings when the wish first came out and was not a big fan of the wish, and I know, went more recently and is now a big fan of the wish, so. But, yeah, Olaf animatronic is kind of an issue. All right, well, let's. Let's move on to our next. We're going to start talking about the. The top deck. We haven't talked about the top deck except in reference to other things. Obviously, the biggest. I don't know if this is the biggest surprise, but, like, probably the biggest news out of this whole thing is within Marvel landing. So Marvel landing is a space. It looks to be like the front. Towards the front. Middle of the top deck of the ship. [00:31:09] Speaker B: I think that's the back. [00:31:10] Speaker A: Oh, is that the back? [00:31:12] Speaker B: Look at the location of the funnel. Look in the far right corner. I can see a set of funnels. [00:31:18] Speaker A: You're right. That's. You're right. So the back of the. So the back top deck of the ship, we've got. Yeah, Marvel landing. This is a Marvel themed space. And of course, there's a bunch of different things in this Marvel themed space, but the biggest one, which actually is not just in the Marvel landing, it goes all around. The top deck of the ship is iron cycle test run. So this is an Ironman themed roller coaster. It looks like each car only actually carries two people at a time. But obviously, there's multiple cars going around the track at any given time. It goes up to, I think, 30ft above the top deck of the. Of the ship. Still below the funnels, of course. So we'll have to figure out if it can get through the Panama Canal CT. But it won't. We still don't know that answer. [00:32:04] Speaker B: I'm looking at the ship. I don't think so. [00:32:07] Speaker A: But anyway, this is the. Yeah. The first. 1st roller coaster at sea for disney cruise line. I want to be put that out there. It will be the longest roller coaster at sea, period. But as other people who've been following the cruise industry for a long time, Carnival was the first to put a roller coaster on a ship and still has that roller coaster on the carnival. I believe it's on the Mardi Gras. And actually, they might have it on more than one ship. And I know that this is where I think some of the controversy comes in. There are people who are. I know there was one comment earlier up above I didn't have a chance to. I'm trying to find my cursor to flag it that. [00:32:52] Speaker B: Yeah, I think it's interesting. [00:32:54] Speaker A: Campbell soup carnival cruise line with Disney characters is not for me. I can understand not feeling Campbell's soup, by the way. I think your name is hilarious. But it is, you know, it's different. But there is, you know, as Nathan pointed out, this is geared towards a different market than the US, so there's different expectations. And they bought this ship for pennies on the dollar out of a bankruptcy, so there's only so much they can change. I think they could have removed the roller coaster. I'm sure they rejiggered it, but it. There was going to be a roller coaster on the global dream, so. [00:33:29] Speaker B: So I posted a video for the Patreons today over at the DCL duo Patreon page on Facebook. If you're not a Patreon, you should think about it, because it's great to support Sam and Brian and all this great information they get and share with us. But this has been worked on for a while. It's an interesting process that they went through to design it. I think there's a difference between what we, as longtime Disney fans are gonna love and what's gonna create truly memorable memories for your children. I think your kids are gonna love this. I think that this is better than you think. I hope that they're managing this with some type of, you know, with the ship being at sea for four days or three days, five days, whatever it ends up being, when it's all said and done, I think people will queue up to this 30 or 60 days out through a pass process. I see the line cues. I sent them to Brian today and teased them about road dropping at sea. But I think. I think. I think this is going to be done well. Disney knows how to do this. Disney knows how to do this the right way. And there could be, the technology that's wrapped into the ride vehicle could be doing a lot more storytelling than what we're just seeing on the surface here. [00:34:50] Speaker A: Absolutely. [00:34:51] Speaker B: And I've got some faith in that. So there could be all kinds of motion triggers and stuff like that that are going to create some feedback. And Disney's a story storyteller. There's going to be a story that's being told there. So. And I think this is maybe a next. A better or next gen design from passing tv screens in a tube. [00:35:11] Speaker A: Yeah, I agree. [00:35:12] Speaker B: Don't sell this short. Don't sell this short. [00:35:14] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:35:15] Speaker B: I mean, excited to see. Also, we've talked about the roller coaster, two other great rides here. [00:35:19] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. I just wanted to say that Alicia thinks this looks terrifying, but loves it. So. Yeah, so tell us. Yeah, tell us about the other Pim quantum racers and Groot Galaxy spin that you see here. I. Here. [00:35:29] Speaker B: Um. Spinner racer. That's what I've got. [00:35:33] Speaker A: Yes. Yeah. So, racers. Pym. Quantum racers is like a mini cart. Like mini. Like. Like, so it's like a. Like a go kart race. There's a track. You can see it on the right hand side of the picture where there's going to be, like, mini cars and. Or mini carts. I forget what they call them, but you're going to be able to race around a track. And then the spinner, as you could see, it's a. It's a. I want to say it's a ride kind of like a dumbo or a. What's your top speed? Yeah, it's like. Yeah, it's just, you know, you're just going to go around in circles and sort of being lifted up in an arm. Up and down. And so, yeah, it's like dumbo flying. Like the dumbo ride. So, yeah, I think this is pretty cool area. I also noted there's going to be an infinity pool and bar in this area. So this whole area is going to be. Is going to be marvel themed, as. [00:36:25] Speaker B: I also think we're looking down into that reef. [00:36:28] Speaker A: Oh, yes, you're right. In that picture where you see people sort of in the balcony in between the queue. I don't know if you can. If I put my cursor. So here's the queue, and then here's the go kart. And here, right in the middle, is an open airspace that you can look below. You're right. That's going to be the discovery reef that we talked about just a little bit ago. Okay, let's go to the next one. This is Toy Story place. So this is forward. Now we can see, based on, as you mentioned, the funnels, that's the way to orient yourself. So this is toy Story space. There's going. This is going to be your main, I think, pool deck area for the families. Right? So this is flying saucer splash zone, which I think is kind of like a big KId splash zone that we are seeing in this with the aliens on top in this area right here. And then there's going to be a Toy Story splash pad, which I think is this middle area right here for the little Kids. This is my guesses I don't know that they said more specifically. Then over here is Woody and Jesse's wild slide. So water slides. And then there's going to be pizza Planet. It could be over here, but I'm not ReallY sure. It could be up. You know, it might just be not really able to be seen in this. [00:37:44] Speaker B: Does it matter where it is so long as there's pizza? [00:37:46] Speaker A: There's Pizza planet. Yeah, Pizza planet. So this is, yeah. Quick service, obviously. Restaurant is the pizza planet. [00:37:54] Speaker B: Also, check out, there's, like, four hot tubs in that pool on the other side. [00:37:58] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [00:37:59] Speaker B: That's a lot of really great space for guests. And I think we're over now. The garden. I love this space. I think it looks great. And we've kept all the receipts on your prognostications of what's where, and we'll hold you accountable later. [00:38:12] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, I agree. I think this is the imagination garden here in the center that we'd be looking down on. And this actually, again, reminds me of sort of the Oasis class ships where you've got this, this, this hole in the middle, but pool deck stuff on either side. Got a nice size pool on this far side. [00:38:29] Speaker B: I also think this isn't all of it. Right. This is only, like, half of it. So look at the characters in the background. You can actually, I don't know how big it is for folks watching on an iPad or something that's smaller, but we've got a big buzz and a big, like, woody or Jesse in the background there. [00:38:42] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:38:42] Speaker B: There's going to be a lot of space here, a lot of pool, a lot of place space for Kids. I think this is going to be, I mean, this deck is going to be larger than any of Disney's other Decks when we look at the size of this ship. So, um, there's a lot to be excited for here. [00:38:56] Speaker A: Yes, definitely. So the end that. Yeah, that's definitely Woody on the right hand side of the screen and buzz on the left hand side of the screen. And I love this. When I say hot, you say tub. Hot tub. That's right, Wesley. Love it. All right. Okay, let's see what's next. Ah, this is another, this is another fantastic area. San Fransokyo street. So this is its own. I'm gonna call it land. But this is, you know, we had a, we, there are seven themed sort of areas around the ship, and this one is all big hero six. All big hero six themed. And this is the main attraction for this area is, I would say twofold one is that arcade, and the second is Baymax. Just his appearances. There's, of course, an alley cat cafe, which is for those who have watched the cartoon show, not just the movie. It's the cafe that his aunt Cass runs, the alley Cat Cafe. There are going to be four cinemas, so four Baymax themed cinemas off of this space. Another really cool thing is there are going to be secret entrances to both the edge and the Vibe kids clubs through. One of them is through a shop and one of them is through a cafe. It's called the Edge of something cafe off of San Fransokyo street. So very cool vibe. There's going to be, oh, there's going to be a record shop as well in this area. [00:40:32] Speaker B: So. So I have a couple of things I want to talk about here, and I think this is a good place to kind of put the flag in the ground. Disney did not mention a casino today. [00:40:40] Speaker A: You are right, CT, and I am. [00:40:42] Speaker B: So in love with that decision. [00:40:44] Speaker A: The other thing, and you and Brian have from the beginning said no casino. I said, maybe I am now firmly in your no camp, but here's where. [00:40:56] Speaker B: You'Re not going to like my answer or my prognostication. Over in the asian market, there's. There are very few regular department stores. There are places that host space for a variety of vendors. I think this ship is going to have more third party vendors on it than we've ever seen on a Disney ship. Like we've seen kind of the Swarovski's pop up stores and some of those things on some of the Disney ships. I think we're going to see a lot of that in this space. So there'll be a lot of things to be excited for. I don't want to discourage people, but don't be surprised if you see a lot of that third party. I don't know what the popular brands would be. Probably designer, designer jewelry, higher designer and bags, those sorts of things I think we can expect. I don't think this is just Mickey's main sales, I guess, is the point that I'm making when we see shops. [00:41:48] Speaker A: Yeah, no, I think you're right. [00:41:49] Speaker B: We predicted that a lot of these spaces would have character meet and greets and that Baymax, apparently parents confirmed it. [00:41:56] Speaker A: So I love it. Love it. All right, there's a little bit more. Sorry, I'm having trouble scrolling a little bit more about the big hero arcade. So they're in the big hero arcade. The main attraction is going to be the hero training zone, which is a gaming simulator. But they also mentioned in one of the media press releases there are going to be games for each of the other four characters from Big Hero six. So Fred is going to get a kaiju chaos, which is a family friendly action game that challenges players to virtually don, Fanboy Fred, super jumping, fire breathing battle suit and race through on screen city streets in pursuit of a mysterious foe. So this is like a kind of credit zone. Yeah. Or. Well, I don't think it's going to be. This is a. This is going to be not incredible. And this is going to be a game. This is going to be a two person, two player game. [00:42:49] Speaker B: So like Disney Quest at sea? [00:42:51] Speaker A: Yes, this is like Disneyland CCT. This is. And some of the gaming technology that they already have on the wish, but it's in the kids clubs is like this. So the go go racers, she's going to have a pertly her simulator where you use your own body movements to keep time with a quickening rhythm. So you're basically like. It's like Dance Dance revolution. Honey Lemon has a chemball blast. So you're going to like, throw stuff, I think, or race to fire bubbles and create chemical chain reactions. And then wasabi speed slice is going to be a. Swinging your arms to slice and dice. This is exactly what it is. [00:43:35] Speaker B: Downloading it tonight. [00:43:36] Speaker A: Exactly. So, yeah, so these are, these are just some of the things that are going to be in the big hero arcade. So we're not talking about just like a regular arcade with like, I don't know, Mortal Kombat. We're talking about an arcade that has specific games. And this is for children and adults, from what I can tell, are going to have, you know, all these things available. So pretty, pretty cool. I think this is. This is one of the things I'm pretty excited about. [00:44:01] Speaker B: This is good use of a lot of that extra space they have on the ship. [00:44:04] Speaker A: Yes, absolutely. [00:44:06] Speaker B: This is really an eye chart. [00:44:07] Speaker A: Absolutely. I know. So I put this up here because it's so complicated. And this is, this is rotational dining. That's all I need to tell you. This is rotational dining. And there are basically two sets of every restaurant. And they're not really two sets of every restaurant because some of them are similar, but not exactly the same. But everyone's going to do three rotational dining restaurants is what the language of this, this press release thing says. Basically, you're going to get. You're either going to be on like, let's call it a track or b track. And so you're going to hit three rotational dining restaurants across your three or four night cruise. And they're in two. They're in categories. So there's two of each kind of clumped together, but you'll only get to go to one. So that's what all this mumbo jumbo language says. But we'll go into the spaces and you'll understand what I, what I mean by all. [00:44:58] Speaker B: So we'll take, I'll take a couple of these eye charts out of the slide. Sam. Yeah, and I will post them to the DCL duo podcast and vlog Facebook page tonight when we're done with the show. So folks want to go back and kind of get to the finer points and details in case we miss them as we go through. They'll have an opportunity to do that and then that post will be there. [00:46:13] Speaker C: My path unwinding for sponsoring today's show. Now back to the episode. [00:46:19] Speaker A: Okay, so this is the first of the set. So this is one set. So this is the navigator's club and the Hollywood Spotlight Club. So these are technically two different rotational dining restaurants, but you only get to go to one or the other. And this is the one where you're going to have character appearances. They have specifically said Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy. Those are the four characters that will appear at these restaurants. And this is just sit down. Regular rotational dining. As I said, you will get to one. You will go to either the Navigator's club or Hollywood Spotlight Club on a particular cruise, you will not go to both. So they are slightly themed differently, but they're in the same. They're considered the same for purposes of the same. Yeah, exactly. [00:47:04] Speaker B: A little bit different decoration. You could look at the roof decor is a little different and exactly the way the windows are. But essentially, I imagine the menus would be very similar. [00:47:13] Speaker A: I bet the menus will be the same. I imagine that you'll see the same menu in these two restaurants every night. And that way they have people, like I said, on, you're either on a track or you're on b track. So you're either at Navigators Club or at Hollywood Spotlight Club. And that's part of your rotation. So the next dining rotation or restaurants in the dining rotation, our fan favorite, animator's palette or animator's table, which is basically animators palette 2.0. So this one is very clearly, they're identical, or, you know, obviously there might be some different lighting features and whatnot, but like. [00:47:50] Speaker B: And this is just like the Walt and Roy Disney, right? [00:47:53] Speaker A: Exactly. Yeah. But they might be in different places on the ship. That's one of the things that's not really clear because we don't have, obviously, a deck plan of the ship. So they might be right net, like right on the same. In the same area, but they might be in completely different places on the ship. So you will either go on a, on a single cruise, you will either go to animators palette or to animators table. And this is where you will have what I imagine to be animation magic. Right. I imagine that this is, it's, it's, uh. They have said that, you know, the color is going to change over the course. I can't remember if they said that you're going to have animation magic, but I. But why wouldn't they? I feel like it would be silly to not have animation magic. [00:48:33] Speaker B: Yeah. You know, if they don't, uh, I've seen sorcerer Mickey on, I'm. I am positive Disney has put together a wonderful show with a great character. I mean, like, listen, sorcerer Mickey Fantasia. Mickey. Mickey wizard, whatever you call him, he is much beloved and there's a reason for it. And there's so much charm and personality around the character that is Mickey Mouse. I'm sure the show in this area is going to be fantastic, and if it's interacting with the kids in a similar fashion to crush, I think that's going to be even better. I'm super excited for this venue. [00:49:14] Speaker A: Yeah, same, same. All right, so the third of the rotational dining is this. This is the one that's the most different between the two. So this one, I actually think is a little bit of a miss as far as you'll only get to go to one of these. Yeah, exactly. So you've got enchanted summer restaurant, which is half tangled and half frozen. You might be in the Olaf room, you might be in the Maximus room, or you might be where it's sort of a mishmash as it shows in this. This picture, to me, looks like kind of a mishmash of Arendelle chairs with, you know, with tangled lanterns. And so anyway, this is one of the two restaurants that is this sort of set. And then the other restaurant is Pixar market restaurant. And you could see in the picture, I cropped it, unfortunately, can't see. You could have seen on the wall was anger from inside out, was on one of the paintings. But it's going to be all different Pixar stuff. So it's not just like inside out. It's going to be, you might see Luca characters, you might see toy story stuff, like. So the decoration is what I mean by that. So you will either go to enchanted summer restaurant for dinner or you will go to Pixar market restaurant. So this is a bummer because if you're on a three or four night cruise, unless you're doing a back to back, you're not going to get to experience both for dinner. Except the good thing is they have said that these two restaurants are going to be buffet breakfast and lunch daily. The other restaurants they didn't say that about. So the other restaurants, I imagine, are either not going to be open for breakfast and lunch or only going to be sit down. Probably one of them will be open and sit down. But, yeah, I don't. [00:50:58] Speaker B: I want to temper expectations here as I look through the material on this one. Granted, I think the thematically, they're done a lot nicer. Sir, these are your enchanted garden? [00:51:10] Speaker A: Yes. [00:51:11] Speaker B: Don't expect a show with this tangled or frozen restaurant. I didn't see anything where Disney talked about a show with dinner. I think these are your. I think these are ip laced, enchanted garden type restaurants. They're going to be a great time. You have great memories there. The seats are ornate in the one. There's great decorations on the wall. But I think. I think you're not going to get a show out of these. So which one you're in, I don't think will matter as much. Right. If you were getting a show that was tangled or frozen in one and Pixar and the other people would be missing it. That I think they're tempering there. I think the show is going to happen in the other two, the way they've shown the characters passing around and. [00:51:54] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. You know, they did say something about it. There might be. I think there might be, like, a mini show. Cause they said something about a lantern thing, but that might just be, like, where you color your own lantern. Right. Like, I. So there might be some kind of interactive thing in what they mentioned flowers growing through dinner. Right. But nothing. Nothing really big. And the other part of this is we haven't seen. This is. So this brings up another thing. CT. We haven't seen cabanas or marceline market or anything like cabanas or marceline market. So this, I think, is the replacement, too. [00:52:27] Speaker B: I agree. I agree. [00:52:28] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:52:28] Speaker B: And that also makes it harder to kind of do a show. Right. If you've got that kind of. [00:52:32] Speaker A: If you have a buffet setup. Exactly. You can kind of see in the enchanted summer restaurant in the background, you can see what looks like to be some, like, food cases. So that might be where you go. Yeah. So that might be. And in the background, same. Through the windows of the Pixar market restaurant, you can also see what looks like display cases. So this. It makes sense that these restaurants would be essentially the replacement for cabanas, for breakfast, for lunch, and dinner. [00:53:01] Speaker B: I'll even do a deeper cut for DCL is. Remember when Parrot used to be a restaurant and it had the buffet in there? [00:53:08] Speaker A: Well, enchanted garden still has the buffet. They haven't pulled out. Well, we don't know. We don't know. [00:53:16] Speaker B: Could be gone fair. [00:53:17] Speaker A: Within a couple of days. We'll know, actually. Okay, so this is another mishmash of words, but this is the list of premium and quick service dining that they have mentioned. Going to touch on. [00:53:33] Speaker B: Uh, just first, can I cover the first r1 quick? [00:53:36] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, absolutely. [00:53:38] Speaker B: I've been quoted, and I think it was. Tracy called me out. Um, I only sail on ships with chocolate, uh, creme brulee, souffles. Chocolate souffles. And there is Apollo on this ship. And where there's Apollo, uh, there's a will. There's a. I can get there. I can get there. [00:53:57] Speaker A: There is. There is. So there's Apollo Trattoria, Mike and Sully's flavors of Asia, which has. [00:54:04] Speaker B: Exciting. [00:54:05] Speaker A: Yeah. We'll show the pictures in a second, but I want to mention it has four parts to it. It has a full service japanese steakhouse, a lively teppanyaki room, a chic bar with omakase style dining, and an outdoor sushi and sashimi offering. So both of those are reservation for additional charge. Paulo Chattoria is adults only. Mike and Sully's is not adults. [00:54:26] Speaker B: I'm so excited for a premium experience that's not adult only for fans that want to do that. Right. Like, how great. What kid does not like doing the amazing for families and celebrate? I think this is a really great thing that Disney is doing, and I hope this test goes well in a way that we see future ships have premium dining for families as well as premium dining for adults only. [00:54:57] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. So we've got a picture here. These are the three different spaces within Mike and Sully's flavors of Asia renderings. One, of course, the one on the right is clearly teppanyaki. The one in the middle is clearly a sushi omakase bar. And then the one on the left, I would say, is probably that outdoor, sort of more casual, like grab and go sushi. And Tracy is asking, will Nathan choose Hibachi over Mickey's Mac and cheese? The answer is no. He likes Hibachi, but I don't think he would choose it over Mickey's Mac. Mac and cheese. I love Kidderegh. Chris Kidder. I'm going to need back to back to back to eat at all these restaurants because they all look so good. I love it. [00:55:41] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay, real quick, before we get too far from Paulo, because I don't think there were any images of that. [00:55:47] Speaker A: There were none. And we could show you just regular pictures of Apollo, but I'm going to. [00:55:52] Speaker B: Predict that this Paulo is someplace between Paolo and Remy. I think it's going to be a little more elevated because it is the only adult, only dining, I think. Imagine a larger, more courses. I think back to maybe the old palo, where there was always the moose bouche and palate cleanse. I think it's going to be the most elevated Paolo in the fleet. [00:56:17] Speaker A: Yeah, it could be. And the wish definitely elevated Paulo already with Paulo Steakhouse. So I can definitely see that Wesley saying he's with Chris kidder. There's got to be carrot cake somewhere in there. I think there will be. All right, moving on. So this is some of the quick service places that we mentioned. So Ohana Grill is stitch or stitches. Ohana Grill, which is going to be a quick serve, clearly, it's going to have some island hawaiian flavors. We've got the first ever boba tea shop on Disney cruise line. Bewitching bobas and brews. That's Ursula themed. Both of those, like, cool spaces. I think both of those are off of the discovery reef that we showed earlier. We've got. These were already announced. These are kind of off the imagination garden. We've got Mowgli's eatery and grandma Tala's kitchen. So we've got Mowgli's is going to be, I think, indian flavors. And Grandma Tala's kitchen is going to be Pacific Polynesian whatnot. So these we don't have to talk about much because obviously they have already been announced. Oh, but I will go back to the list because they don't give us really any artist renderings of anything but cosmic kebabs. So it's inspired by Marvel Studios. Miss Marvel, a quick service restaurant will offer flavorful menu of pitas and kebabs, which is awesome. Yeah, I love it too. I think it's a great option. And then, sorry, I had to look around to see the screen because it's too small. On my screen in front of me, there's also Paulo Cafe, which is going to be Apollo theme. So italian themed coffee bar that's going to have, you know, pastries, coffee drinks throughout the day. And it's going to be inspired by the seaside italian town of Puerto Rico. You also see a picture of Mister Wheezy himself in the corner because they announced there will be wheezy's freezies on board. So that's that bar that has, you know, frozen drinks. It's probably going to be in that toy story, I would guess, air zone that we talked about earlier up on the top deck. But it's going to be for your frozen drinks and other fun drinks up on top. [00:58:33] Speaker B: I love all the great theming here. I love the Luca tie in. [00:58:39] Speaker A: Yes. [00:58:40] Speaker B: Apollo, that's great. I'm super excited. [00:58:44] Speaker A: I'm excited, definitely. And here we've got a list of experiences exclusive to adults. So sorry again about, like, the word salad that you're seeing on the screen, but I'm going to list them all, and then we're going to talk about some that they gave us artwork for. They didn't give us artwork for all of them. So starting with the Buccaneer bar, guests can sip on high end brews and watch live sporting events here in swashbuckling style. So this is a pirate themed bar, but it's also going to be your sports bar. Then we've got Tiana's Bayou Lounge, of course, New Orleans themed with craft cocktails and Tiana's famous beignets. The next one listed is Spellbound, a shadowy lounge inspired by the evil queen from anime from Disney's animation Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, serving up delicious potions of the cocktail kind, along with zero proof cocktails and mocktails. [00:59:36] Speaker B: Then we've got, if you're a Disney fan that is excited for the villains land and some of the things Disney's doing, this is the spot for you on this ship, I think. [00:59:46] Speaker A: Totally. And then, of course, we have the market bar, which is one I mentioned earlier, that's going to be outside of that Pixar market restaurant that's going to have. It's going to also be a kind of a coffee bar, but also will have alcoholic drinks. And then last, last but not least, one that I really like the idea of, as you mentioned, Luca themed. This is Taverna Porterasso, which is going to be a. Also a sports bar, but it's going to be Luca inspired, where you can have a drink, watch a game, enjoy the view of the bustling breezeway below. So I wonder if this is going to be maybe like above either imagination garden or above maybe the. [01:00:27] Speaker B: It's got to be the other, the. [01:00:29] Speaker A: Yeah, the reorder discovery. Oh, yeah. Because of the. Yeah, because the water stuff. Exactly. [01:00:34] Speaker B: It's perfect. [01:00:36] Speaker A: So this is funny because this is, to me, this looks like a picture from the wish, the Tiana's bayou wish. So this is Tiana's bayou. This is what they released with their press release. This is exactly what it looks like on the wish. I'm not surprised. They are just copy paste. It might not be the same layout as the Tiana's bayou on the wish, but I'm a big fan of that space on the wish. This one is the first time we've seen art for the buccaneer. Well, we have a pirate bar that's coming on to the Disney Destiny and we have art for that. But this is a different, I think, pirate themed bar. And this is, again, this is going to be a sports bar on the adventure called the Buccaneer bar. Okay, moving on to kids, because, of course, as CT, as you mentioned, you can't have a Disney ship without stuff for kids, without kids clubs specifically. So no surprise, there are going to be four different levels available to guests, which are the same as on all the other ships. A small world nursery, six months to three. Oceaneers club, ages three to ten. These, when I say to three, that means inclusive of three. When I say three to ten, that means inclusive of ten. Within the Oceaneer club, we have the hub, which is sort of that central meeting space where they'll do lots of games and activities. Fairytale Hall, Andy's toy box, Marvel Web workshop, Walt Disney imagineering lab, Mickey and mini captain's deck. All of these seem to be the same as what's on the wish. Except Marvel web workshop is slightly different. There is a marvel workshop, I don't think it's Spider man themed on the wish. And also Andy's toy box is not on the wish, but Andy's room is on the magic and the wonder. So all of these seem to be taken ideas sort of picking and choosing from the other ships and putting them all in one space. And then of course we have a picture of what looks to be, I would say that's probably supposed to be vibe. But edge is ages eleven to 14 and actually this is wrong. Vibe is ages 14 through 17, not 18 year olds. So sorry for that error on there, but meaning inclusive of 17 year olds. Once you're 18, you are aged. Out of the kids clubs you can join the 1820 society on Disney cruise line. So pretty similar. We won't talk about the long cause it's really the same as what you have on the other ships. This is another thing we got some artwork for, which is the concierge Lounge and sun deck. We're not going to talk about all those concierge rooms and all those regular rooms because there are too many. I kid you nothing. There's like 20 plus pictures that are just rooms. And we've already been talking for about an hour, actually over an hour now. But the concierge lounge and sun deck look beautiful. So this is an. I don't know exactly where this is. If this is on the very front of the ship or the very back of the ship. I think the very front is towards the front. [01:03:46] Speaker B: Yes, towards the front. And I, you know, back on the lounge, the Aladdin theming in there is so like takes and its very subtle. I like the colors, the blues. I mean, you can tell an imagineer who understands architecture did a very good job of making this space feel comfortable. [01:04:05] Speaker A: Yes. And very open. I imagine its going to be exorbitantly expensive. Thats all im going to say. But here is the concierge sun deck. And so youve got a really cabanas. Yeah. And look at this really nice outdoor pool. I mean this is. But covered. That would be amazing. Amazing. Yeah. And also exclusive concierge amenities as kidder is saying in the comments, there's going to be, I believe, some shopping and spa stuff that is going to be exclusive for concierge. [01:04:38] Speaker B: There is an exclusive spa for concierge on the, on the cruise ship forward of this. [01:04:43] Speaker A: Yeah. It's just doesn't, it doesn't get more exclusive than that. But like I said, I'm guessing it's going to be pretty exorbitant in price. So as much as I would love to experience some of this, I'm not sure that that will be something beyond, within our reach. So we have reached the end of the presentation, other than a little rapid fire that CT actually put together for us to kind of answer. I'm excited, but I also want to say my first reaction, CT, before we get to your questions, is, is this too much? [01:05:19] Speaker B: I think this ship, so I talked a little bit about this with Wes. If this ship is successful and it stays in that region, I think if you think this feels like too much, wait till Disney's opening another private island in the Indonesia, in Indonesia region. There are tons of private resorts scattered across islands there and it is easy for Disney to hop into that, I think. So Disney would have to expand to like seven and eight night cruises to take the ship someplace where it's worth sailing to from Singapore, when I look at the market that's there and the different cruises I can book, you really got to get into some days before the ship travels someplace, so long as this ship is always going to be the destination. So for Disney, how do they create repeat customers in that region? And that's to create a ship that has so much going on that you can't possibly do it all in a single sailing or even a back to back sailing or shout out to the comment section, a back to back to back sailing in order to get everything in. So I think there's a lot of excitement if this heads in the right direction or is successful for them. I also think as much as I see a lot of comments talking about, well, it's a different market. This is for a different market. I think this ship could be successful running four night trips in any market, right? Yes. If it does not work out in Singapore, this ship gets relocated in it, but it will become a permanent staple in that Bahama four night, three night that we see the wish doing that the dream used to do. A ship like this is meant to be the destination and meant to move in that space. And that's another great space for. [01:07:11] Speaker A: So, yeah. So Tracy's got a comment for UCT, we only need one night. For Apollo chocolate souffle. We only need one night. But we need. But we need back to back to back so that we can go to all the rotational dining restaurants, too. Well, let's. Let's start with your question. So, does the adventure have enough that you want to. [01:07:31] Speaker B: For me? Yes. I want to hear what you think, Sam. [01:07:34] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. I'm going to say it has more than enough. If anything, it has too much for me because I, like, I want to sail, but it's like, I'm a little bit afraid you go on this, and I'm, like, disappointed because I only got to see, like, a quarter of the things, and I didn't get to ride the roller coaster or I didn't get to do. You know what I mean? There's just so much to do on this ship and so many different areas to see and, you know, different deck party. I mean, I don't know how. How I'm going to be in the. I'm going to be in the imagination garden the entire time waiting for all those deck parties. Right. So, um, I just. Yeah, it has. It. It has too much that I want to sail it. Let's put it that way. Yeah. [01:08:13] Speaker B: Yeah, I think that, uh, and to that, I think. Remember, you've got four days at sea. [01:08:19] Speaker A: Yes. [01:08:19] Speaker B: Where you're rotating through these different spaces. It's not just the one day at sea or the two days at sea that you get today, uh, on a regular cruise. So I think that I'm excited. Uh, anybody that knows me knows that I'm. I plan our trips, and I am a super in depth planner of our trips. And, uh, I have the next, like, six or seven drafted outs. And I started a spreadsheet for this one today, looking at flights and there. I'm not saying it'll be maybe even in the inaugural season, because I have other vacation goals for my wife and I. But this one is, uh, we're putting a flag in this one. This one is. I think this has enough for me to want to go. [01:08:57] Speaker A: Yeah. Wesley has a interesting comment. If it doesn't work, then Singapore bankruptcy by JPEC is a scapegoat. If it works, then new Disney ships will take heavy notes. And I think you're right, Wesley. I think, you know, whether or not Disney cruise fans want this much ip in this many different spaces on a ship is a yet to be determined question, or, you know, yet to be determined answer to that question. But, yeah, it could be very successful on, as you pointed out ct these sailings to nowhere. Okay. Is it the first floating theme park? Am I just answering these questions? [01:09:37] Speaker B: Ct they were for both of us, so. [01:09:39] Speaker A: Okay, go first. Yeah, I'll go first. I think so. Yes and no. Right. There have other cruise lines have. Have, I would say, created the first floating theme park before Disney has. So I would say, you know, carnival and even royal with a lot of the stuff they have on their ships, they have already created. But this is, I would say, yes, this is the first floating theme park for Disney Cruise line. Because when you think about the number of different shows, the number of different spaces, the number of different eateries, the number of different attractions between that arcade and then, of course, everything on the marvel landing. Yeah. I mean, this. It feels like a theme park as much as it feels like a ship. In fact, more. [01:10:24] Speaker B: Yeah, I agree with you. I think the other thing to think about with this ship is, is putting a look at the risk Disney took for, like, Hong Kong Disney and how they're still working to create hype in that park so they can get guest amounts up to where they want them to be, where they're seeing success, or how long it took for Euro Disney, which is now Disneyland Paris, to find success. And even the overhaul that's coming with, is it like Disney Adventureland? I forget what the other park is changing its name to. The old Hollywood studio. I think that this is a better way to approach new markets with theme parks than building a new theme park. Interesting, because, again, if it doesn't work out in Singapore, you can just put the ship somewhere else. Yeah, somewhere else where? You think India is an emerging economy. Brazil is an emerging economy. And I talked about that a little in last weekend's article on the blog. So. [01:11:22] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, you could even send it over to Australia. New Zealand. Right? I mean. [01:11:26] Speaker B: Correct. [01:11:27] Speaker A: It's. [01:11:27] Speaker B: Well, not to Sydney. Sydney's got a bridge problem. But. [01:11:33] Speaker A: I love, I love all your research on all the bridges. All right, what's your favorite neighborhood? I want to hear your favorite neighborhood first. [01:11:41] Speaker B: I think if I say mine first, I'm going to steal yours. [01:11:44] Speaker A: I think it's San Francisco. [01:11:46] Speaker B: Yes. I think it's San Fransisco. If I have to pick an honorable mention, I think it's that way. A wayfarer space. [01:11:52] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:11:52] Speaker B: I know it's not themed out the way the other ones are, but I'm telling you, like, the moana show gets you. [01:11:57] Speaker A: I know. [01:11:58] Speaker B: Give me, give me the. Give me. Also, give me the room that's looking off the back of the ship, past it all. [01:12:02] Speaker A: Yeah. So my favorite, definitely San Fransokyo honorable mention. I'm going to say imagination garden because I just like the, I love the idea of multiple deck shows in there. I kind of like that as the hub of the ship, that it's an outdoor space is kind of fun. So, yeah, I think it's going to be. I think that's, that's a cool neighborhood. But San Fransokyo is number one. [01:12:25] Speaker B: Sneaky good space is the town square space, too, now that I'm looking at it and thinking about it against Sarabi and Luna and some of those other spaces as we talked about, and with all the fast dining being in that area as well, and Delaunay, that's a sneaky good space for me as well. But if I have to put the flag in the ground, it's San Francisco. [01:12:47] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. What is your favorite announcement? Oh, my goodness. [01:12:52] Speaker B: From this. My favorite announcement. It's. It's remember. [01:12:57] Speaker A: Oh, that's a really good remember. [01:13:00] Speaker B: And I'm going to go back again to the blog. If folks aren't checking out the blog, there's some fun stuff we've been putting on there weekly from Tinfoil mouse ears on the DCL duo blog. And I talk a little bit about musicals and what should be coming next for musicals, and I messed it up. I think the Walt Disney theater is my favorite space. Space on the ships. [01:13:22] Speaker A: And I love that. I love that article that you wrote, and it's because that's probably my favorite space on the ship. I'm going to go for, I'm going to say my favorite of the announcement. So beyond San Fransokyo is number one of not just neighborhood, but of the announcements as well. So I'm going to pick my second favorite, which happens to be similar to your honorable mention for area, but it's specifically Moana Call of the sea as a show. I mean, we know we're having the Moana stage show on the Disney treasure, and I love the idea of them doing one a show or storytelling of Moana in an involving actual water. And I, for those who've listened to our shows about when we went on the oasis on Royal Caribbean, I loved the Aqua 80 water show. It had all kinds of, like, acrobatics and diving. And I don't know if this will have that. I don't know if the moana call the seashell will have that. But I love the idea of even just telling the story in the water with the water. Like it's it's just the right way to do it, if that makes sense. [01:14:31] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. Big shout out to Tracy for the working out with Baymax. That's the most unexpected thing from this announcement, but I am here for it. Tracy. [01:14:40] Speaker A: Oh yeah, that is a good one too. That's a fantastic one. That would be one of my. That's definitely in the, in the top like three for sure. We got Taryn is saying she's with you. She thinks romance member is great. There are folks saying are there going to be lightning lane premiere for the rides? Alicia saying it's maybe 7500 to sail at 1500 to ride iron cycle. I don't know. They were just joking. We don't know. But you know, there's like I said, much to do, much to see. All right, well, with that, I think we should wrap up for the night. We're almost at an hour and a quarter, but CT, thanks so much for joining me. Yeah, it's been fantastic. Brian obviously couldn't join me this evening.
